Started as Wilson Gas in 2006, initially as a sole trader with an old Ford Escort 55 diesel and 100 business cards relayed to an old dial house phone. The vision and mission were clear. We wanted to be the premium local service company that became the household name for people living in the Merseyside Cheshire and North Wales area when their heating or hot water problems should arise. We wanted our people to think of us immediately and choose us as their best option for boiler repairs or installations. The company's name came from the founder and the secretary's children, Darren and Dylan. We started our spare box room inside our family home. The boys were on the floor, under the table, as their mum was working 7 am till 9 pm daily to earn the loyalty and trust we are renowned for. All this while Darren, the dad, was alone on the road, delivering the results and creating the relationships with our customers we still have today. From strength to strength In 2008, we decided to form DD Wilson Sole Traders with a vision that one day, the boys would be able to help Dad and keep the business with our family for centuries to come. In 2018, we formed DDwilson Gas Engineers Ltd and moved into our Big Unit in Knowsley Industrial Park, where we now take on 12 full-time staff, including a gas apprentice and admin apprentice. We're as accurate and as genuine as they come. Regulars always ask how the kids and dogs are doing, as they are forever with us. If they are not in school, they are undoubtedly in our friendly office or the van with Dad occasionally, meeting the customers and earning their pocket money. Our message is clear: we give you "No Stress and No Mess." Using quality products and premium service with aftercare from a family that does care. We provide installation service and repairs to all domestic gas appliances, mainly Central Heating and Boilers. We do loads for the local people where and when we can, and it's "Nice to be Nice". We sponsor Carla Lane Animal Rescue in Melling because we love the animals. We have given so much to our community directly from us to them when we encounter the challenges they face. Our business has stepped in to improve their lives, and we take great pride in this. Mixed reviews about company, came was polite and offered support. But analysis of problem was quoted parts £600 and flush recommended. Even a possible new boiler. Got a second opinion and the fixed the problem for just the call out charge. This review might be an error or the second opinion might only have presented short term resolution. But he felt strong the previous analysis was wrong.
I only hope this was at worse an error of assessment.

Wow what can I say
Wow what can I say - our experience has been great. We moved house a couple of months ago and knew we needed new radiators. Our regular plumber kept letting us down as he was too busy and so I reached out to friends for a recommendation. From the first e mail to immediate response, initial visit from Darren, wonderful work of gas engineers, electrician, and any contractor necessary the experience has been fantastic. I took a leap of faith based on Darren’s warm personality and honest approach and I couldn’t be more delighted. Everyone has been polite, hard working, low maintenance, patient, tidy, efficient and above all open and honest. What initially started as a boiler service and a quote for some radiators has resulted in a fantastic new efficient system all in a matter of days from enquiry to completion. As improvements led to complications each issue was resolved and nothing has been too much trouble. Great value for money for quality materials and workmanship. I am so pleased to have found this lovely family business and will continue to use them on all plumbing and heating jobs. Thank you team!

DD Wilson is our go to choice, every time…
We had to have a radiator moved from one wall in our office and a new one installed on an opposite wall.
The engineers arrived at the agreed time yesterday, having called us to say they were on the way.
The two lads who came were really great, polite and welcoming. Their work was very neat and tidy and they cleared up after themselves once complete. They worked hard throughout the time they were with us.
The workmanship is superb; very professional.
But we expect this from DD Wilson as we’ve used them several times before and will continue to do so in the future. They service our central heating system, the one they installed.
Their customer service is excellent, from our initial enquiry, through the work and then after with a customer satisfaction call. Great customer service is important to us.
We can’t recommend Darren and his company enough. As they say: “If Carlsberg made gas and heating engineers…”.

I’m very pleased with my new boiler from DD Wilson
DD Wilson supplied and fitted a Vaillant Eco last month. I had not used this company before but I am very pleased with my boiler and would recommend them. The quotes were competitive and I was offered a choice of suitable boilers. The plumber/fitter, Paul arrived promptly and did a thorough job fitting the boiler, testing it and explaining how to set it. He left the boiler cupboard much cleaner and tidier than he found it too!

Conversion from a back boiler to combi
We had a conversion from a back boiler to a new combi boiler by DD Wilson. Fantastic service from start to finish. Darren carried out the survey, explaining everything that would be required to do the job & fit the new boiler in the position we wanted, contrary to other companies who said it wasn't possible to be placed where we wanted it, obviously too much work for them!
Paul came out & did the job, his work ethic was fantastic, he took great care to make sure everything was perfect, he cleaned everywhere as he went, all the old system was removed new system fitted & took time to show us how everything worked. Absolutely can't fault Paul & or his workmanship, just brilliant!!!
