Always love Debenhams for their choice…

Always love Debenhams for their choice of clothes and whatever else you are looking for ,they are always at a very good price and I know it's all in very good condition.
They send everything in quick time too ,nothing but good customer service and good quality delivery.

So many third party brands and sellers…

So many third party brands and sellers it's so slow for delivery next day is never next day and the order comes in dribs and drabs not ideal.
If think delivery is slow wait untill you make a return that's even worse. Nearly 10-15days After several emails I did get gift cards as refunds on 3rd party items you are not able to get fully refunded to payment card only as gift cards. You need to be fully aware otherwise the disappointment is a hard hit.
Would I buy an expensive item off here no as it's probably a 3rd party and non refundable only gift card on refund I would definitely consider options before buying.

Do not buy from this company anymore

Do not buy from this company anymore. Debenhams has become one of the worst shopping experiences in the market. They used to be renowned for both its quality products and customer service. I have often purchaed from here many times over many years.Something has gone terribly wrong with this company. I placed an order, next day delivery, when my item was nearly a week late I contacted them. They wouldn't acknowledge they items were lost and wouldn't provide a refund until their policy kicked in which meant they would not agree to refund my items for another 2 weeks. On receipt of my refund I made the silly mistake of reordering my items, again on next day delivery, and again they have not arrived and yet again on requesting a refund I am told I have to wait a further 10 days before they will even consider giving me a refund, with no apparent way of speaking to anything other than a bot! This company is a disgrace. Such a shame

Never ordering from this site again

Never ordering from this site again. Next day delivery from brands is 4-5 days. The customer service when there’s an issue takes weeks to resolve different advisors not reading previous emails. An absolute shambles. I have been charged twice for returning something!!

Returns process is a shambles

Ordering and delivery of parcel was no problem but as others say, the return process is diabolical. Over 3 weeks after returning some parcels, I am still waiting for a refund which has now been pushed back by nearly 2 weeks and on top of this, items bought from a brand partner are still being processed and they are unable to give me a date I will receive my refund. Had I not contacted Debenhams, I don’t know when I would’ve heard anything. Will seriously consider ever buying from Debenhams again.

★☆☆☆☆ – A month later and still no complete order

My experience with Debenhams has been disappointing from start to finish.

I ordered a Pickle Picnic Bird of Paradise 3-in-1 Picnic Bag Set, but only received one of the three bags. The order was marked as delivered, despite two parts of the set never arriving.

Customer service has been incredibly frustrating. I repeatedly had to provide my order number and email address, even after already supplying them several times. Instead of taking ownership and tracking my order, I was asked to explain the issue over and over again. After waiting almost a month for what was supposed to be a birthday present, I was still chasing Debenhams for items I had already paid for.

To make matters worse, I also discovered I had been enrolled into a subscription that I never knowingly signed up for and had to cancel it myself. Judging by the number of similar complaints online, this does not appear to be an isolated issue.

The lack of communication, poor customer service, and failure to deliver a complete order have left me with no confidence in Debenhams. Once this issue is finally resolved, I will be making a formal complaint.

I will not be shopping with Debenhams again and cannot recommend them based on my experience.

Fraudsters

Ordered, paid delivery. Item never received. Refund but deducted both the delivery and a refund fee. So costing me £5 for an item I never received. Absolute thieving cowboys. No wonder the stores closed. Appalling service. Will never use again. If I could give zero stars I would

I bought a bed and a wardrobe

I bought a bed and a wardrobe. They have third parties who provide the goods clearly using their brand name. The bed was ripped and dirty and the wardrobe was wobbly and bad quality without enough holes too out it together. Then start the emails back and forth. I have been advised I will be refunded but will take 14days. Don’t trust the brand name for furniture it’s outsourced.

Beyond appalling!!!!
Even of you are of a calm and forgiving nature I suggest you just don't!
This is where AI and chat bots will turn people into raging bulls.
Ordered a kamodo joe, price was amazing (should of known better). The initial cluster **** with delivery meant courier initially asked my partner to go meet him somewhere the day after he had supposedly tried to deliver (hmmm not convinced that's the service I paid for).
I went and collected directly from the depot as their chat resource for rescheduling went TF also.
Noticed on the box it said olive (i Ordered teal). Here began the end of my life and sanity. Was told right item had been delivered. Decided that it wasn't the end of the world and would suck it up.
Then....went to remove the bbq from the box to find the base was shattered.
This is where the stupidity begins with lightning force.
Initial interaction on messenger actually not bad. Was meant to have a response by today. Tried to chase and all I can describe this as is a game of snakes and ladders. 3 squares forwards and then, no.....off you pop back to the beginning.
I'm gritting my teeth and doing all the breathing techniques but seriously, you are wondering why people lose the plot!
Maybe this is why you can't get to a human, because the barrage of abuse they would receive after the ai incompetence isn't fair on them.
I feel this is going to be an ongoing saga that I'm not going to enjoy.

The wrong dress

The dress I ordered from Debenhams turned up next day so well done there but when I opened parcel I found a dress was completely different to the one I had ordered. Because Debenhams charge for returns I contacted Customer Services, by email, to ask that they arrange for a free return. After numerous emails sending repeated photos and information I’m no nearer getting a result, do they use A1 I wonder. You can’t speak to someone to sort out. I definitely will not be ordering from this website again.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience, they don't advise you when you order that you pay for returns.
They received my return 5 days ago and they say I will have to wait at least 10 more days for my return to be processed through their 'automatic ' system and then a further 5 days for it to be processed, yet they miraculously take the money immediately.
I will not use this website again.
Customer service in non existent.

I’ve only ever had one disappointing incident in the past which really baffled me. I started ordering again few years later and I’m honestly very pleased with Debenhams. Good stuff 👍🏼

Do not use

Do not use.

Ordered 5 items 5th May 2 arrived no issues never got the rest, speaks 3 weeks changing to be told u am being refunded.

Been told 10.+ times my refunded has been issued, I still don’t have it.

No number to call so every contact I make I have to start the process all over again.

Don’t not waste your money or time, I will never buy from Debenhams again.
