First order from Debenhams online. Ordered 2 upright fans for the bedrooms. Great product at a great price and delivered within 4 days. We were kept informed of delivery date and time and these were adhered to. Very pleased and would happily recommend Debenhams online.

Utterly atrocious - Stay away
Utterly atrocious. I’m clearly dated in my belief that Debenhams was a reputable, upmarket retailer.
I ordered a bed on 20/06/2026 and paid for premium delivery on 26/06/2026. Nothing arrived. I contacted the Facebook Messenger bot and was told they had limited information and I should wait 24 hours. When I asked for a delivery refund, I was told the issue would be escalated.
Twenty‑four hours later, I requested an update and was then told I had to wait until 05/07/2026 for anything further. I asked to speak to a human. 24 hours later I finally received a response saying the issue had been raised and I should allow two working days for an update. I shared my disappointment when prompted for a service review.
The next day, I received another message acknowledging my concerns and asking me to wait three days for a response, effectively adding two more days to the timeframe.
Yesterday, I asked for an update (now outside the promised response window). I had to start the chat again because the bot cannot read previous messages. My request to speak to a human was rejected, and I was told once again to wait until 05/07/2026, when the item will be classed as lost and “next steps” will be taken. At this rate, I expect I might receive a refund sometime in 2027.

I have had a dispute with Debenhams since the beginning of June and it’s still not resolved. I have never ever had such disgusting customer service .. It’s got so bad the only thing I can do is take my complaint to Court .The hole situation is making me poorly nobody is listening.

I am having an ongoing terrible experience with Debenhams. I ordered a parcel 10 days ago and was due delivery over a week ago and have not received the item. I am however receiving emails asking me to review the product, as if it has been delivered. The only way to contact the customer service team is over email or text, there is no phone number, and I keep being passed to a bot or waiting almost a day for a response from an actual human. All I am told is to wait for them to tell me more, even though I have asked to log a complaint. The service is appalling and they will do everything they can do avoid actually helping. Avoid shopping here.

Started my return 13th June . it's now 2nd July. They changed twice for the return and sent less money than I was owed. I've checked spam and junk and promotional files for a gift card up date but still nothing. I received the gift card for the lesser amount though. I loved Debenhams and was gutted when the stores closed but I will not be buying from them again the return process is too stressful.

Debenhams used to be great…no more
Ordered a pair of crocs. Discount code was not recognised. Quick delivery. On opening the crocs parcel the tag was not attached to the shoe, but was within the plastic bag. The plastic wire was around the shoe but looks like it had been cut and the plastic bag was not branded crocs. Have read all of your reviews, the shoes are fine, but not being defeatist can’t be doing with the hassle with a disgusting company who couldn’t care less,would still want to take 1.99 from your refund, what a joke. Avoid!

So many third party brands and sellers…
So many third party brands and sellers it's so slow for delivery next day is never next day and the order comes in dribs and drabs not ideal.
If think delivery is slow wait untill you make a return that's even worse. Nearly 10-15days After several emails I did get gift cards as refunds on 3rd party items you are not able to get fully refunded to payment card only as gift cards. You need to be fully aware otherwise the disappointment is a hard hit.
Would I buy an expensive item off here no as it's probably a 3rd party and non refundable only gift card on refund I would definitely consider options before buying.

Do not buy from this company anymore. Debenhams has become one of the worst shopping experiences in the market. They used to be renowned for both its quality products and customer service. I have often purchaed from here many times over many years.Something has gone terribly wrong with this company. I placed an order, next day delivery, when my item was nearly a week late I contacted them. They wouldn't acknowledge they items were lost and wouldn't provide a refund until their policy kicked in which meant they would not agree to refund my items for another 2 weeks. On receipt of my refund I made the silly mistake of reordering my items, again on next day delivery, and again they have not arrived and yet again on requesting a refund I am told I have to wait a further 10 days before they will even consider giving me a refund, with no apparent way of speaking to anything other than a bot! This company is a disgrace. Such a shame

Never ordering from this site again. Next day delivery from brands is 4-5 days. The customer service when there’s an issue takes weeks to resolve different advisors not reading previous emails. An absolute shambles. I have been charged twice for returning something!!
Returns process is a shambles
Ordering and delivery of parcel was no problem but as others say, the return process is diabolical. Over 3 weeks after returning some parcels, I am still waiting for a refund which has now been pushed back by nearly 2 weeks and on top of this, items bought from a brand partner are still being processed and they are unable to give me a date I will receive my refund. Had I not contacted Debenhams, I don’t know when I would’ve heard anything. Will seriously consider ever buying from Debenhams again.

My experience with Debenhams has been disappointing from start to finish.
I ordered a Pickle Picnic Bird of Paradise 3-in-1 Picnic Bag Set, but only received one of the three bags. The order was marked as delivered, despite two parts of the set never arriving.
Customer service has been incredibly frustrating. I repeatedly had to provide my order number and email address, even after already supplying them several times. Instead of taking ownership and tracking my order, I was asked to explain the issue over and over again. After waiting almost a month for what was supposed to be a birthday present, I was still chasing Debenhams for items I had already paid for.
To make matters worse, I also discovered I had been enrolled into a subscription that I never knowingly signed up for and had to cancel it myself. Judging by the number of similar complaints online, this does not appear to be an isolated issue.
The lack of communication, poor customer service, and failure to deliver a complete order have left me with no confidence in Debenhams. Once this issue is finally resolved, I will be making a formal complaint.
I will not be shopping with Debenhams again and cannot recommend them based on my experience.
