Nice solid packaging with those renowned vibrant colours. No worries about nib breakage when sharpening which is a huge plus.
Excellent pencils. In my experience Derwent pencils are are my preferred choice, even against the other leading brands (e.g. Faber Castell). I would have preferred the website to make plainer that my box of 24 pencils would arrive as two boxes of 12. Not a big deal but still. And way too much plastic in the packaging. Companies have to start getting serious about this.

5 stars doesn’t seem enough So I decided to give you the Sun
I love the colours available in this range. I am having a bit of difficulty sharpening them to a decent point. Which does make drawing fine lines quite difficult. There is probably an answer to this problem somewhere on their website (or a 'Fan' page perhaps?) I haven't spent much time looking.

I love the Derwent Lightfast pencils. But there could be improvements. I already have the 72 tin. I feel that withe the expense of these pencils the quality of the packaging ie the 72 tin could be improved possibly with that similar to the Caran d’Ache Luminance. The other problem I have is that the colours on the ends do not match the colour of the core and I often start laying down the colour and then realise it’s not the colour I was expecting. I feel that there is a lack of pink/red shades but this is possibly because these pigments aren’t lightfast However I really do like the quality of the pencils. I also like the fact that you can add to your collection with extension sets that do not duplicate what you already have. I

Thank you for your feedback. If you feel that the pencils could possibly be faulty, then please contact Customer Service on derwent.pencils@acco.com, as they should be similar to the end colours and what is on the colour chart.
Pinks and reds are not as easy to make highly lightfast, but we will look into this and feedback to the team.

Lovely quality of the products, hassle-free shipping experience, and the "make your own tin" option just makes everything better.
The last time I reviewed this product I was a whiny self-important idiot, I was contacted by Derwent to sort out the problem of broken leads, all I will say now is this, IF you have issues with broken leads get yourself a small ceramic palette and put the leads in there. activate with water and your good to go

Very good. Nice to select my own pencils. The tin was 'ok', but doesn't shut very reliably.
Useful to be able to select specific colours.
Pick and mix colours is a great way to acquire the range. These colours qre vibrant, especially when activated with water.

Great starter pack to try the Inktense experience. I got this set for my birthday and Iove them; I've actually bought more colours now! Very versatile to create many effects, simple strong colour, blending tones, from gentle watercolour effects to deep saturated colour. This drawing was the first I used the pencils for - it was a delight to draw!
