Speedy service, my order turned round in 3 days. The quality is amazing, I got two t-shirts, and the fit and feel great. Both the patches are also of great quality. Not disappointed and will be ordering regularly.

So far I’ve received a few items from DFO and I cannot stress how good the quality of their products, I’ve used their beard care products aswell and for the price they are 2nd to non that you can buy of the bigger named brands. The T-shirt’s aren’t just screen printed onto some generic brand blanks and relabelled as descended from Odin, all there shirts are made from the highest quality fabric and according to their website, sustainable! So That’s a bonus!!
Still waiting on a few items that have had a lengthier dispatch time but I’ll chalk this down to the fact they’re still a growing company, I was contacted via email about a delay in the wool hoodie I ordered and was given details as to why it would be delayed so their customer service is up there as amazing aswell.
I will continue to buy a support this unique and wholesome brand

Really like this brand. Good quality stuff, especially their leggeings, excellent for doing squats in the gym. Would highly recommend, will be ordering from them again.

Had multiple orders from DFO and can’t fault them! Amazing independent company and all the products I’ve had have been of high quality. Had everything from vest tops to leggings to hats and have loved every item. Sometimes it’s taken a few weeks for some items but these have been printed to order or a pre order so completely understandable. Well worth any way & generally they’re speedy!

Ordered a few times from these guys now and have always been impressed with the quality of the items and the speed the items arrive. Will definitely be a long term customer.

Love these guys. I've bought a few items from them and enjoy that they don't use synthetics. The materials are durable and have lasted countless camping trips, hikes and expeditions. Living in Canada I expect a bit of a wait with shipping but that considered, everything comes in good time. I highly recommend this company and their commitment to durable activewear.

I recieved my two t-shirts I ordered. I was really happy with the quality and love the designs, I ordered it around black friday times I believe, so I knew it probably would take a bit longer than normal since it's a really small independent business. Awesome customer service whenever I've needed anything in the past and they always resolve the issue for me if something happened. Love the brand 😁

This is a really awesome clothing company. Really cool modern designs using viking age myths, legends and artwork. They use first class materials and even sell some jewelry and mead!! Recently bought the seidrblot hoodie. Super comfy and a great fit. Takes a few days on delivery but that's how it is with well made stuff. Definitely will be back for more. A+ rated in my book

Love Descended from Odin clothing. My jumper and shirts are awesome, and great quality. For an independent retailer they turn out some great stuff. Postage took about a week, but they are a small company, and customer service comms was without fault. Cheers guys.

I’ve bought many different items of clothing over the years, with my most current being the Jorvik sweater, and every time I’m surprised at not only the quality and the effort gone into making sure the materials are exactly as advertised, but also at the speed at which they come! And completely plastic free packaging too!
I love this company, their ethics and values, and everything they do ❤️

Update: The company has contacted me and apologised and explained the mistake made by their staff. I'm currently awaiting for the missing item to arrive.

So I placed an order in September, when it arrived a month later, it was missing an item. They didn't pack it. By the time the package arrived, the item had sold out. I notified them of their error and requested a refund. After a week they told me they would process a refund or store credit, i requested a refund. A few days later, they announced a reprint of the item (freya shirt), i emailed and asked could the send me the shirt that i had paid for as they had not processed the refund yet. They said yes, they would ship it out once it arrived.

I asked for a new invoice so I could track my order. Nothing.

Another email. Nothing.

Another email. Nothing.

It is now three months later and I have not heard a thing from this company.

"You cannot afford to hire someone to deal with emails ", I'm sure most people have had to deal with budget issues and customer demands. Dealing with customers is an integral part of business, how about a rotating roster of employees to handle the inbox for the day as well as their other duties? That is how companies I've worked at have dealt with issues.

What a joke it is to get constant email promos and instagram pictures when they cannot respond to an existing customer for their mistake MONTHS ago.

My favourite line in their automated response, "we won't tolerate rudeness or aggression, we only sell to people that we like." Likewise, Descended from Odin, likewise. Your customers ordered from you because we liked you. You know what is rude? Ignoring them.

At this point I doubt I will get any kind of response from the conpany- I have reached out via email, social media and cannot get anything from them. I want my money back. This is an absolute joke.

Worst place to ever buy.Ordered my T-shirt since 2 of dec and now it’s 16 of December still I haven’t received no email saying anything.I m from uk and it’s says that if u order from Uk it’s take 2-3 days but now it’s well over 2 weeks.I wrote this on their Facebook page but I was banned.Feels like a scam descended from odin.

Ordered 6 items (of the same thing) from this company, totalling to around £96. They only sent me 1 of the items, which took about 10 days to get to me. I have emailed multiple times and have tried messaging via facebook and have been completely ignored. Not sure how to progress with this as they have no phone number to contact on the website, I don't usually leave reviews online and am only doing so as a hope to get their attention as this is completely unacceptable. This is very frustrating as these were going to be Christmas gifts.

Ordered a shirt for a friend for Christmas gift on Nov 19th, 3 weeks ago. Still no shipping notification. I'll contacted them via email 3 or 4 times inquiring about when the item would ship and never received a response. I also reached to them via Instagram to ask about my order without a response. I emailed them 4 days ago asking for a refund for my order, and again no response. I'll be contacting my bank and telling them the charge was fraudulent due to their lack of communication and apparent theft as they've failed to send me my order or respond to any of my emails. Quite upsetting for me as I had hoped to give this as a gift. Don't buy from them.

***UPDATE***

They've finally responded, but only here. Not via email at all. They stated in their response to my review that I have received the item already, and I have not. It's been shipped, but it most definitely still in transit as I'm in Canada and they're located in the UK. It hasn't even reached Canada yet. It was ordered Nov 19th, 2019, and didn't ship until Dec 16th 2019. It's currently Dec 23rd and the item is still not in Canada, though tracking states it's left the UK. I emailed 3 times and sent instragram message without response about what was happening. I asked for a refund twice after those messages and didn't get it.

I was not told this item was a print to order. That was no where in the description. I only received automated responses twice from my emails to them, though they had inaccurate information as those automated email responses said the following (copied and pasted from the email from them):

As you can see from their email they were not clear and upfront about their time line to ship my item, which was intended to be a Christmas gift, and most definitely will not be here by Christmas (2 days) and I had planned to give it to my friend Dec 13th, which I let them know in the numerous unanswered emails I'd sent them.

I still stand with the 1 star, poor rating. Their customer service is non existant. I won't ever be shopping with them again. I will also be sure to discourage any other's who may purchase from them not to. I'm extremely disappointed with this whole process. Never again. :(

I made an order on 1st Nov 2019.
Took over £130 straight from my bank for the order.
I emailed a week or so later to ask where it is as received no shipment email.
It took 2 emails to finally reply to me a week later to say that my order wasn't going to be shipped until 1st Dec when one of the items was being released (as it was a pre order) and then all be shipped together. Firstly, they could have told me this. Secondly, I don't understand how it took a week and half to reply to that.

Thirdly, now the 8th December and have received no order, or shipment email from them for my multiple items ordered. I have sent another 2 emails to their customer service team which have still gone unanswered again.

I just want my items that I ordered over a month ago, as have lost all faith in their customer service skills by this point for terrible communication skills.

I am trying to find another contact or phone number so I can speak to someone but have no luck at all.

I have seen on here that they have replied to both negative feedbacks within 24hrs. So I know someone does work on a computer somewhere in the business. So I can only hope I get a reply soon so this can be rectified before I put in a formal complaint and start seeking my money back.

I placed my first order at DfO last month. I got the shirts and recognised, that I ordered the Merino-Tee the wrong size (my fault, check the size-table!). The shirt was send back for exchange, which was made extremly fast. Yes, shipping to Germany took a few days, but that's ok. The postal service was tracked, so I was informed about my order every time. I'm very happy with the customer service.

The shirts I got are of good quality, the Merino-Tee will be tested. I hope Brexit will take a little longer, so that I will be able to place further orders without paying customs.

I have made over a dozen orders now and every single one has been fulfilled except pre orders that are not yet due. A couple of times I have ordered items too small and have had absolutely zero problems having a replacement organised.

Since discovering DFO just over a year ago, I have been a huge fan. I agreed strongly with the companies view on sustainability and anti plastic which is definitely more that can be said for some of their lead competitors who will use high percentages of polyester in their clothing, plastic lids on bottles etc etc. Many other small companies have since taken a similar approach to sustainability and I think this is fantastic and strongly encourage them to continue in their efforts but for now DFO really does make the biggest effort in this field. There's no "Biodegradable" recycled plastics or any nonsense like that, all packaging is totally paper, there is no polyester or other plastic based fabrics in their materials (Even the baseball caps are something they worked very hard to ensure there was no plastic visor or stitching on) and materials used tend to be cotton, bamboo, cardboard, wool etc.

A good example of this is their absolutely fantastic beard oil and balm they sell. Yes, at first glance they look expensive at £20 for a small jar, but this stuff is really thick and condensed and you only really need a tiny scoop for an average sized beard, a jar of this lasted me a whole year. But both beard balm and oil come in glass jars with metal lids. No plastic at all. I had an old bottle from another brand which had a plastic poppet lid, and I merely replaced the lid for convenience sake but I'm glad DFO has opted to not use unsustainable materials when they don't need to.

The man running the show is an absolute gent and has taken a huge financial risk investing in many unknown independent artists and crafters to give them the opportunity to work through DFO when he could have easily went down a much cheaper route and sourced similar artists and products elsewhere, but apparently he has given several people so much work that they have managed to take their crafts on as full time careers!

The quality of DFO's clothing is 99% of the time equal (or even better) to high end retailers who will easily charge double or more for the same kind of clothing. True, nothing is perfect and there are occasionally some designs I personally baulk at and a few items from previous ranges haven't been manufactured to the quality of the rest of their gear but the tshirts designed by artists like The Raven from the North, Sean Parry (Sacred Knot Tattoo), Linne Setanne and others are some of the nicest designs you could possibly wear. I am yet to see a "Norse" or "viking" clothing range even compare to the skill of these artists.

My favourite gear from DFO are the more simple wool items though, the Marino tshirts are absolutely fantastic, you can wear them again and again and they never smell, they never stain and they remain just as soft and comfortable as the day you bought them, while the lambswool jumpers and hoodies are perfect for layering to keep you warm regardless of season or weather. The cloak, which is like a signature piece now for DFO (And I've noticed several Instagram companies now creating tacky polyester versions much cheaper, occasionally even stealing designs by artists affiliated with DFO) is absolutely the best piece of clothing you can own for round the camp fire. (It also doubles as the best dressing gown ever, and can easily be pinned back to fit with re-enactment clothing if you are a re-enactor.

The sheepskin boots are a pretty amusing oddity and I've seen a lot of comments (because they do look like "Ugg" boots) but they are the most comfortable things you could possibly wear around the house.

all in all with Descended from Odin, the positives vastly outweigh the negatives which is why I must leave a solid 5/5 review. personally I would like to see less tshirts and more of the other types of items, but I understand that it's a business that can't always make what it wants to make and sometimes has to release more of the "basics" in order to generate funds, but I know that I'd now never buy clothing from another company unless I absolutely needed a particular item of clothing that they did not have in stock.

There are a few negative comments floating around at the minute about lack of response time, poor customer service atm, but the company has recently been going through some major changes, moving to a new base of operations etc, and it's unfortunate that a minority of customers have been negatively effected by these changes, but my best advice for you is to be patient and persistent, the team will do their best to get back to you and will in no means be intentionally ignoring you. DFO is not a big company despite what some people may believe, they have only existed for about 3 years and the (very small amount of) staff really do try their best but they are only human and pressure can mount up.

I could go on and on about the charities the company donates a percentage of it's profits to, the fantastic events they organise and the fantastic community that has risen up around the brand, but I think you should just find out for yourself.

seriously though, they have sales on constantly and plenty of ambassadors with discount codes you can use to get a discount on their products. If you're considering shopping with DFO for the first time, just do it and you wont be disappointed.
