Beware UK buyers - incredibly high import and 'handling charges'

I'm writing this on the French site as their .com sit doesn't appear to be active on Trustpilot.
As others have said they have a wide selection of great French bra brands which simply aren't available elsewhere and I love the cut of these which seem to give a much more flattering silhouette than many UK and American styles.
However, as others have also pointed out, their storekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. After accepting my order I later got an email about a refund which was confusing then I realised they'd advertised something which the didn't have in stock. They say their stock changes over fast but surely this is the case with every other mail order company and competitors are able to show accurate stock levels.
Then the real shock. I know they say that following Brexit the customer is liable for import and handling duties but I'd no idea that these would be so high - over £60 for just two bras! It's not only the VAT which I can accept. Because DD insist on using Royal Mail, then the PO also adds a ridiculously high 'handling charge' in order to send you a computer generated letter telling you to log on to their website and pay them all these charges. Otherwise I presumer your order disappears somewhere given the difficulties getting refunds stated by others on Truspilot - so you've got no choice really but to pay up!!
What really annoyed me is that since Brexit I have quite often ordered from other EU based websites like Yoox, The Outnet, Zalando, Desigual all of which are based in the EU and who manage to quote for items which include all taxes and handling charges.
It seems like DD's IT systems, as well as lagging behind on stock levels, also can't calculate these charges as other companies on Continental Europe have been doing easily. It's not like Brexit happened overnight so they've had ages to prepare.
It's a shame because DD do offer some lovely items but for the moment, this is likely to be my last order until they can give a more accurate figure for how much a total order will cost. And maybe stop using Royal Mail parcel systems and chose a carrier who can make the whole process a lot simpler and more cost effective!

Ordered 2 items from the web store

Ordered 2 items from the web store. No progress in the shipment. Checked by email and got the response that this was due to one item was not in store.
Why not tell me this? How long was this company going to wait for the missing item in store without telling? One week ? One month...

Sorry but this was first and last shopping for this customer.

Don’t reply on their email

I ordered Some bra’s but I couldn’t pay with iDeal, which is strange. Also at the end of the order proces there were no banking details to do a withdrawel. Therefore I wrote an email how to do the payment. We are now 5 days later no answer yet.

No good

I made an order in June, nothing came. I contacted them for info and refund, they said that I have to pay taxes because I am in GB. Noone has contacted me since then, my order is in limbo and they ignore my mails where I request a full refund. A disgrace.

I have ordered a bra and brief for sale…

I have ordered a bra and brief for sale on12th July paid 80,29 euros with my credit card. More than a month later now, I haven't received anything, no order, no refund! Mailed a few times, received an answer that there was a delay, that was 2 weeks ago! I never had something like this before! I shall never order there again

Will not use this seller ever again

Have used them in the past but my last order has been a nightmare. ordered 10 days before my photo shoot and 3 weeks later my items have only just arrived and not the full order. Half the set is here, the bra is not. I sense they are selling thins they don't actually have in stock and then sourcing the item after you buy. Really not good enough and needless to say items arrived 2 weeks too late so i couldn't use them in my shoot. Bad customer service and not what you expect when spending hundreds on a luxury company. Avoid.

Do Not Accept Returns on Damaged Items

Have previously ordered several times and been happy. This time we were shipped on garment that was torn at the seam. Contacted the company immediately and was sent this response: "All orders are checked by our logistics department on order preparation + shipping department. We are sorry but cannot take back your item which has been sent compliant by our services." This is pretty outrageous given we spend a premium to have them sent to the US. I'd even b happy with just and exchange rather than a refund but as you can see they will have none of it. Given the cost, cant take the chance ordering from them in the future.

Unfortunately, terrible customer service and delivery

I have been using this site for the last few years. The products handled by this company are very good, but the customer service and delivery are totally bad.
I recently received an email, but the content was very impolite. I made an inquiry because of a problem, but it was handled without any notice. Although it is stated that the luggage will arrive in 5 to 10 days, it will take more than double the number of days. (Before COVID19) And the package arrives in a badly damaged condition. You may receive a different product, or it may be damaged, but feedback does not improve anything and is basically unfaithful to the consumer. I used it because it handles a large number of products, but I hesitate to use it in the future.
P.S.
However, some people in this company are very polite and nice.

Fast delivery to Germany, great products

Wow. The delivery was much faster and uncomplicated than thought. Ordered on 02.07. and received the order today (08.07) in Germany. I was able to track the package through the La poste app and received the mail that confirmed the delivery on the day after the order.
The lingerie is beautifully made and the price was super, too.
I will order again.

Awful

I placed the order because the site stated that the order would be processed within 24 hours. I a wanted the items for an upcoming trip. They emailed me to notify that they were missing stock of one item and wanted to delay the delivery. I asked them to send the items in stock and then the missing item once they had the stock. They said no unless I paid for extra delivery. I cancelled my £700 order, I'd rather shop with retailers who understand that customer convienance is the reason why people online shop. If they don't have the stock they advertise the customer shouldn't be charged for stock mismanagement - Emails were also very poorly written and not at a professional level.
