I have had nothing but terrible…

I have had nothing but terrible experiences with DHL. They are the most unreliable courier service in Ireland. They said one parcel was delivered and never was, a month later I checked fb messages and a lady in drogheda messaged me and said she has my parcel and it was delivered to her house. I live in Dublin. She was kind enough to meet up with me to give it to me and I checked the address to see if I made a mistake but no, someone in DHL had taken a black marker and crossed off my eircode. More recently they have failed 3 different time to deliver a parcel, and I have received a text message stating it would be delivered the next day, still no parcel. They are completely disorganised and have no business model on my opinion. Communication poor and delivery service is a joke. I avoid them at all costs and when I see a online retailer use them, I no longer order from that retailer because I know it’s going to be a long battle to even get what I ordered.

Again same situation. The worst company

Again same situation
They couldn’t deliver my parcel. I am at home and was waiting for my parcel, but instead just received message “sorry we couldn’t deliver your package”.
And it’s can be rescheduled for Tuesday (today is Friday). Or the best option to go to the Dublins airport. Isn’t it’s great?
I have no any issues with any other delivery services.

A company that failed to deliver!

They never delivered an important document that needed to be signed for. I stayed in all day but nobody turned up and I have no idea where the package is now. total shambles. I never have this problem with Anpost or DPD and would never buy anything from a company that uses DHL as a delivery company.

Yet again

Yet again, DHL have failed me. I have never received a DHL parcel on time. Several times parcels have arrived not only late but damaged too.
They are simply the worst courier service I've ever encountered. Their Trust Pilot rating says it all. Businesses that send me parcels through DHL lose my custom, because there's simply no point in paying for things that arrive late,damaged or not at all.
When I try to track my parcel they tell me my address/ postcode is invalid. Yet UOS and DPD have no trouble getting my parcels delivered on time and intact to my address.

This company deserves a medal

This company deserves a medal. Our holiday in Ireland was almost ruined when we had to return a mobile phone to Amazon in the UK. The hassle we went through was awful until we contacted DHL. They were brilliant. The staff were so helpful and polite and they sorted everything. From start to delivery all went smoothly. Thank you from 2 very happy holidaymakers in Ireland.

Package lost

I ordered a tent. I was pressed for time, and after a few days I asked sportfits where the parcel was now? they replied that they did not know, so I contacted DHL, they said that the parcel would reach me on June 12, it was too late for us. So I contacted sportfits and informed them that I would not accept the shipment and it would be sent back to sportfits. It was June 5, today is July 4.
I cannot find information in DHL where the shipment is currently. Terrible service

Terrible company

Terrible company. Was supposed to get an addressable delivery. Waited all day. There was no delivery. But in the evening the post office received a notice that my parcel had been received. They drew a bird on my signature. Nice work. Now I'm running round the post office to find my parcel.

Terrible quality of delivery, I don’t even know why you pay for delivery and they leave it at the post office.After I received the parcel at the post office, they notified me that they had delivered the parcel.

Recommended for B2B customers

Can’t fault them as a business customer. I booked a collection from Belgium yesterday, delivered to Wicklow today. We have been able to get next day deliveries from Milan to Ireland as well as Swiss shipments. I find the tracking better than UPS and the customer care and direct access to our sales rep is great.

I usually enjoy the DHL delivery

I usually enjoy the DHL delivery service. They’re fast and reliable, so I’m not really sure what happened this time. I had ordered from Swappie, a refurbished iPhone seller, and was informed that my parcel will be delivered with DHL. Usually I get an email from DHL which lets me know if they have received the parcel and when they will deliver, but this time I got no information. I used the tracking number and it told me vaguely that my parcel was in Germany. It stayed that way for a number of days until one day it finally said delivered. I was a little annoyed considering I had no clue what day the parcel would be delivered and since it’s quite an expensive item (a iPhone?) I didn’t want it sitting out on the porch when I wasn’t there. Overall, I’m just disappointed that I didn’t get updated properly about when the delivery will happen

Absolutely a disgrace of a company

Absolutely a disgrace of a company. They make up there own custom charges . Exact same packages that arrived with custom charges , 1 was 22 euro next 27 euro for exact same package. Packages never arrive when they say ,. And there is times when DHL clame they there was no at home when not bothered to deliver a package . They are the only courier company that make up custom charges on top of delivery charges. Disgraceful company stay away if possible.

RE PORTSMOUTH DEPO .On the delivery box it saids if not in .Leave by Dustbin if not in. Did the Driver that NO HE BRING THE BOX BACK THE DEPO PORTMOUTH this happened 5 TIMES in 8 days. I live in Southampton. With DHL U have change your day to sue these PEOPLE . Because they cant follow simple instructions DHL SHOULD MEAN DILIVERYING HEL

i can sincerely say avoid at all costs. i was in hurry for part for nct. lets just say the parcel was out for delivery and some how ended up going backwards, and yes i mean backwards. Painful experience

All I can say is avoid DHL
Package was delivered to wrong address and signed by driver and posted on eBay as delivered to correct recipient . I accept that errors happen but awful customer service ! Only for PayPal stepped in be disaster

Terrible customs and customer service

Constantly messing up deliveries for business orders and personal orders. I paid the most expensive shipping option with a company for 2-3 day delivery as I needed it for a birthday gift. DHL happen to do a "random" customs check on this order AFTER I had received the "Out for delivery" text, and here I am 5 days later still with no delivery and no updates. On top of that trying to get a hold of customer service I'd be better of trying to find the end of a rainbow. Typing my customs number into the automated message I had to type it 5 times before it was correctly recognised and I was passed onto a customer service agent, who then had to forward me to someone else, and then I still had no definitive answer of what was happening with my delivery.

Worst service ever

Worst service ever. I was expecting a delivery this morning, was in ALL morning, no one called but got two texts to say DHL had tried to deliver my package but "no one answered ' Totally put off ever ordering from any company using DHL.

Package undelivered for no reason

I ordered a package from Japan to Ireland. Everything was smooth sailing until my package arrived at the Dublin sorting facility. It was supposed to be delivered on the 11/04, all due taxes paid but I arranged for it to be delivered on the 15/04 instead. So the day came, parcel didn't arrive and nobody contacted me for whatever reason it was held. The tracking site was really useless, the estimated/agreed date was suddenly gone and there'd be no way to phone in on anyone to do an enquiry. Called in customer support the next day, and all they said was a mistake in scanning occured and it was tagged as "return to sender". I asked the guy about what went wrong and just told me that it was internal. So he arranged for it to be delivered if there would be no issues the next day, like what would be the issue then? The package is just an old retro console that I purchased from the other side of the world and it was customs cleared already. I really hate people just brushing off the fact that yes, we availed of their services to deliver our parcels in lieu with our convenience only for them to delay it with no proper explanation or not being apologetic about it. Still waiting for my package to arrive tomorrow as to what the customer support guy has promised.

Collection slot is a joke

Booked for my phone to be collected from my house as I had to ship it off to be repaired. The website only allowed for a time slot of 13:30 to 15:30, so I had to leave college early and missed lectures.

Rang the customer centre at 15:45 thinking the driver was delayed, but she informed me the driver arrived at 11:00 and there was nobody home, the driver hadn't even rang me.
The woman told me the time slots were a rough estimate and he was too busy to return, but said I could book it in again tomorrow but the driver could arrive any time during the day.

Absolutely ridiculous!!! offered me no solution and asked what do I want her to do?? Joke of a system, why bother having time slots if they don't adhere to them. People have to work and cant be waiting all day for a collection.
