It was Quick and easy to deal with
I'm happy with the phone and the deal I got from the company. I wanted a good smartphone that did the basics, and the site recommended one that ticked all the boxes. Speaking with the service team helped me get exactly what I was looking for.
The only reason not to give 5 stars is the fact that I had to separately claim for and easy

I wish I had read the previous reviews before committing to DialDirect.
While the onboarding process to receive my funds was straightforward, I’m now having difficulties with very basic account changes. I changed my vehicle registration number, which is a reasonable update and did not involve any modifications to the vehicle, but their online system will not accept the change.
I’m also trying to update my address after moving only a few buildings away, with the same — if not better — parking conditions, and again their online system will not allow me to make the change.
I called their hotline, but the representative said she could not make the changes either and was unsure why, suggesting there may be something wrong with their system.
As a result, I’m now stuck with a driving licence showing a different address from the one on my insurance, and a licence plate number that does not match the details on my profile. That is a very frustrating position to be in.
I could also say more about the premium cost and the fact that my decades of no-claims history were not recognised because they were earned in another country, but that seems to be part of a broader issue. My main concern here is that even simple administrative changes are proving unnecessarily difficult.
With reference to the reply form Kristy below. "Replying quickly" doesn't help at all. I really wish this platform afforded me an opportunity to reply to the CSR.
Update: 26/03/2026
I received a call from Laura at SocialResponders following my original complaint.
During our discussion, she agreed that changing my vehicle registration number should not affect the insurance risk. However, she maintained that changing my address, even when moving only a few buildings away, would affect cover.
She tried to process the registration change and received the response: “no quote.” She then tried the nearby address and received the same result: “no quote.” I also explained that I still have access to parking in the original postcode that was insured, and again the result was “no quote.” At this point, it seems the only insurable location is my exact current parking spot, which they do not even know.
Laura repeatedly referred to the fact that the “underwriters were unable to cover” the changes. When I asked whether she was speaking directly to someone or simply interacting with a system, she confirmed it was the system.
The matter has now been escalated, and I was told I need to wait 2–3 days for a response. During the call, she also suggested that I cancel my policy.
My position remains the same: these should be treated as reasonable policy amendments, not as grounds to effectively require a new policy. Changing a registration number without altering the vehicle should not create this kind of problem. Moving only a few buildings away should not make cover impossible, and it makes even less sense that the original address now also appears to be uninsurable.
Unless this is resolved properly, I intend to escalate the matter to the Financial Ombudsman due to what I believe is unfair treatment.
I am not asking for anything unreasonable — only for accurate policy details and fair treatment when making simple administrative updates.

This company had a very straightforward way to get car insurance. I had to make a phone call which was quickly picked up. Just one problem was with ‘My Account’ which did not work and I wondered if it was a scam. I still have no answer to this problem.

The choice of policies was good, did not go for the cheap one but the one with the most important things to me got free rac breakdown

I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding the handling of my insurance policy.
My policy was automatically renewed on an annual basis, which I did not want. My intention was to change the policy to a monthly payment plan instead. I contacted your customer service team to arrange this, however I was informed that this change could not be made directly. I was advised by your representative to cancel the policy online, which I was told would be free of charge, and then take out a new policy on a monthly basis.
Following this advice, I proceeded to purchase a new policy with monthly payments. However, when I attempted to cancel my original policy online, there was no option available to do so. I then contacted your team again, explained the situation in full, and was told that the previous call would be investigated. At that point, I was informed that there might be a cancellation fee of £60.
Despite this, I have now received an email from a debt collection agency stating that I owe £176.48. I have not been provided with any explanation or breakdown of how this amount has been calculated, and it significantly exceeds the fee I was previously advised of.
I am extremely concerned and disappointed by this situation. I followed the instructions given to me in good faith, and I do not believe it is reasonable for me to be charged an unclear and excessive amount as a result of incorrect guidance.
