Do Not Order a Gift Card From Dicks!

Do not order a gift card from Dicks! Tried to order one and the company debited my bank account and then sent an email saying the order was cancelled.
When I called they told me to order again and that my refund would be 7-10 business days. How does this make any sense. They still have my $100.
Their Chat Bot also does not work.

Terrible Online Ordering Service

I went online to order Two pair of sandals for a holiday gift. The website was less than user friendly & the discount offered were a bit of an ordeal to obtain. Next comes the ordering process. When I tried to place my order it said it was prohibited because my state was on one of their lists which resticted the products I was attempting to order?! Shoes, really? My state wont allow shoes? So I viewed the states restricted and my State was not listed on ANY of their prohibited states for any of the products they listed. SHOES was not on any of the lists. So I clicked on the chat with us option All I saw was a large print ph# to call, I called & they were not sure what the problem was, I was put on hold for over 13 minutes plus the time spent trying to explain the whole thing before that. I hung up. I went back to the page which said chat with us. I looked everywhere and finally buried in some text on the lower portion of the page it read click the bubble at the lower right hand corner of this page to chat, guess what... you guessed it NO BUBBLE to check. Just the feedback icon. Believe me I gave feed back. Terrible customer service, online shopping experience was not user friendly and a bit confusing. Outdated, services and tech. I bought elsewhere.

It’s not often that you find associate’s who are willing to really help but I definitely appreciated it. We will be back!

I don’t normally leave reviews but I had to. My sister and I visited the store in Tupelo MS tonight & received an experience that you don’t normally get. Matthew (one of the associates) helped me not only find 2 shirts that we desperately needed but he also took the time to help me find a specific jacket online that was out of stock in the store. It’s not often that you find associate’s who are willing to really help but I definitely appreciated it. We will be back!

Avoid, avoid, avoid!

I ordered a pair of trainers advertised online. I got a phone call to say they couldn't be found,and was offered a refund which I accepted. No refund arrived. Two further phone enquiries and an email were ignored.
I just wish I'd looked at the reviews first, as this seems seems to be their standard practice. BUYER BEWARE!

Beyond unhappy with their choices and…

Beyond unhappy with their choices and customer service. I've gotten several items with marks or small holes delivered to me.
They have a problem giving refunds. They could have refunded me without having to return a $10 pair of pants that had a hole in them. I would have reordered a new pair but the color/size was out of stock.

DO NOT buy running shoes here

If you are a runner buy shoes anywhere else. I ordered a pair of Nike Vaporfly's only to realize that my 2 yr old Vaporfly's had more buoyancy. I returned the shoes only to be denied for being worn. Of course I tried running the block to see if I liked the shoes. This is perfectly acceptable at any running shoe realtor.
I strongly suggest going anywhere else. I have never ran into this issue before.

Professional Customer Service

I purchased a 24" Mongoose Switchback bike as a birthday gift at the Springfield, Va store. Wrong size, needed a 26". I returned the bike and spoke directly to Juan, the store manager. He was very helpful and instructed me on how to make the return and swap. I then met Kirk, the bike doctor. He pulled the new 26" bike from the rack, adjusted a few things and generally checked it over. I was so impressed and delighted at their professionalism I purchased the 3 year warranty. I wish all my business with vendors and retailers went this well. Thanks from Yokosuka.

Clerk not helpful - very intimidating

A clerk was just standing at the shoe department, not helping. When I asked a question, he wasn’t nice at all. (Someone else helped me, who was very nice.) And when I tried the shoes on, this clerk came close and watched me. Very intimidating. He should not be working there, in my opinion.

Horrible customer service

I went to the store to do a return of an online order. They said I was outside the return window and there was nothing they could do. I was within the return window from when I received the item but was outside the window from when the order was placed. Called customer service to discuss and they were unwilling to do anything. Every other online retailer I have ever dealt with accepts returns within their return window from the date of delivery of the item because they know orders can have long shipping times. Horrible customer service, and they have lost my future business.

RUDE EMPLOYEE NORTH SCOTTSDALE BIKE DEPT

I purchased a $500.00 Mountain Bike from Dicks along with a yearly service contract for life which includes a Once per Year Service Contract. Every year I try and use it I usually have to negotiate with an employee to honor it. Today, in the North Scottsdale location I was confronted by the rudest employee I have ever met. He wanted to argue that Dicks doesnt offer lifetime warranties and I tried explaining I only wanted the once per year service. The conversation got heated and he told me to talk to a manager so I left. In the future I would not recommend the North Scottsdale store.

Please just Close Down

I am genuinely astonished at the level of incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction I experienced with a recent online order from Ducks Sporting Goods. This was, without a doubt, the worst online retail experience I have ever had.

The order was placed and immediately went into a "pending shipment" status, where it languished for a full four weeks. Four weeks! Not a single update, not a word of explanation. It was as if my order had fallen into a black hole.

After a month of waiting, I decided enough was enough and called to cancel the order. A customer service representative, who seemed completely unconcerned, promised me that the cancellation would be processed. I was explicitly told the order would be cancelled.

You would think that would be the end of it, but you would be wrong. Instead of the promised cancellation, my order suddenly, miraculously, shipped. It was a bait-and-switch of the highest order. They lied to my face, ignored my request, and shipped the product anyway.

This level of operational failure and outright deceit is unacceptable. They held my money for a month, lied about canceling the order, and then shipped it only after I attempted to cut my losses. Never again. I will be taking my business elsewhere and actively encouraging others to do the same. This company has proven it cannot be trusted.

s’kciD Sporting Goods and Yeti do not buy!!!!!!

I bought a $275 Yeti cooler at the s’kci Sporting Goods in Gastonia, North Carolina. I put one bag of ice in it, which drained because of a faulty plug, I was not able to return it or get a refund exchange because they told me it was used due to the bag of ice, even though the tags were still on it and the warranty had not been opened. You have to go through Yeti, which has been yet another HORRIBLE experience. I have owned the cooler 25 days and still cannot put anything in it because it leaks!!! The drain hole was faulty. I’ve talked to four customer service people with Yeti and none of them had any idea what’s going on and don’t do what they say. Would not recommend D’s Sporting Goods or Yeti at all!!!!! I live in a vintage camper with rescue dogs that have to have special food refrigerated. I did not have a refrigerator. I ended up going to Dollar General and buying me an $18 igloo that works perfectly. Yeti is a huge mistake!!!!! I had to spell the name of the store backwards. It would not let me review stating it was an inappropriate language, but we know what I’m talking about.

Will never order again

Will never order again. Spent hundreds of dollars to have it shipped in a cheap plastic bag that was tampered with and tore open on my doorstep. Dicks customer service gaslit me and blamed fedex and wouldn’t take any kind of responsibility over their shipment being cheaply packed, and has a no return policy once packages are delivered. Seems suspicious and lack of good customer service to me!

I just had the greatest experience over the phone with a sales associate and their manager Jordan P. Thank you both for the amazing gesture and how you helped me today. Your kindness and your exceptional customer service is something you and the Dicks brand should be very proud of. Without going into details, these 2 are amazing humans! Clackamas OR location.

Our family had a horrible experience at…

Our family had a horrible experience at this store in crossroads Bellevue tonight. My 10-year-old son desperately needed to use the restroom, and a kind employee at the front desk said she would help. We were then met by an employee at the restroom who was unbelievably rude and unhelpful. He smugly told us the restroom was closed and absolutely refused to let my son in, even as I begged him. My son was on the verge of tears.
The sheer lack of empathy from this employee was stunning. We were so angry and disgusted by his behavior that we walked out and took our business elsewhere. It's truly a shame that one person's poor attitude can ruin a shopping experience, especially when it involves a child. We will never be shopping at this company again.
