Diet Chef experience

My order arrived on time. I started the plan the next day I was looking forward to the start of a new journey and losing the weight. How ever after doing a week on the plan I was disappointed with the result of only losing one pound also as I sampled the meals I found them bland and I could not eat some of them the taste was not pleasant.The texture was too soft.I have cancelled my future order for this reason the plan is not for me.Based on my experience I would not recommend the plan.When I phoned customer service to cancel any future orders they were very help full and cancelled it straight away but it was at a cost of £50.00

MISLEADING RIP OFF DO NOT GO NEAR THEM…

IF ZERO STARS WERE AVAILABLE I WOULD LEAVE ZERO. Some years ago for over a year I used Diet Chef. At that time they were Brilliant. BE WARNED THIS IS NOT THE SAME DIET CHEF AS WAS. They are A COMPLETE RIP OFF. THEY ADVERTISE REDUCED PRICE MEAL *PLANS* IN MY CASE I OPTED FOR 4 MONTHS. WHAT THEY DO NOT MAKE CLEAR IN ANY WAY IS THAT THE DISCOUNT ONLY APPLIES TO THE FIRST MONTH OF MEALS... AS AN ELDERLY PERSON I AM NOT ABLE TO AFFORD THEIR RIP OFF PRICES AND THE ONLY WAY OF CANCELLING ANY FURTHER RIP OFF PRICED DELIVERIES IS TO CONTACT THEM BY TELEPHONE - and WHEN YOU DO YOU ONLY GET TO VOICE MAIL It then TAKES DAYS TO GET A RESPONSE. THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. IN ADDITION THE MEALS ARE PRETTY HORRIBLE - one meal has one very tiny piece of chicken in there might as well have been none at all and pretty much ALL MEALS TASTE THE SAME, almost as though they have all been cooked in the same pot. In addition some of my Items had Jane Plan printed all over them.... ??? TERRIBLE COMPANY STAY AWAY - STILL FIGHTING THEM for FAIR TREATMENT. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. DON'T GO THERE, VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

Good, lots of room for improvement

The plan generally speaking is good. It motivates you to stay on track with your calorie deficiency plan effortlessly. There are however many things I would like to see change:
- The monthly delivery box is bulky to store and heavy to lift. I would appreciate biweekly option for that reason
- If a meal contains pasta - it is always overcooked
- it is not clearly indicated which meals require separate carbs preparation and which include them
- online support could be better. For example one can not change a plan, even during the first few weeks of trying the program

The meals are not particularly tasty…

The meals are not particularly tasty which I can improve with spices. A lot of the times the pasta and rice are mush which I can't do anything about but endure.

The postive is that its helped me get back on track psychologyically regarding sensible portion control but I don't think I will be paying that amount of money just for that going forward.

I lost 1.5 stones weight with Diet…

I lost 1.5 stones weight with Diet Chef. Even when my goal was reached, I bought meals bi-monthly to keep on standby.
Diet Chef taught me portion size is very important.
I chose the Vegetarian Plan, but due to becoming vegan, I cannot continue with the meals unfortunately. I contacted Jenny at Diet Chef to explain this, and she fully understood. I will keep a look out in future, in case they produce a Vegan Plan.

I still have not received my box

I still have not received my box. DHL had sent me several emails that the parcel is with them, or it has been delayed. Expected delivery was 03/09. Maybe you need to choose a different delivery partner

Jury's out at the moment

I have the maintenance package. Not too sure about it because though I was told I would lose weight on this package, it actually maintained my weight for over a week and now I'm gaining!

Steer clear

Month 2 food wasn’t delivered, yet money taken! Rang constantly for about 2 weeks with no reply. Also emailed, again nothing back. Contacted my bank for a refund. Eventually got a reply from my call! I was told I needed to pay to cancel the contract! Although they broke it by not delivering !!
Agent put the phone down as didn’t like being told I wouldn’t be paying as they broke the contract!
Still nothing is email. Called again, no agents available. Another week or so, managed to get an agent, again I’m told I need to pay £70 to cancel or they would sent the next subscription! I explained they broke the contract! Apparently they had an invalid post code, not sure how as the first month arrived okay! Again agent put the phone down as didn’t like being told I wasn’t going to pay a cancellation fee!
They say they have replied to emails but none have arrived, yes checked my Junk folder, nothing there either.
I’ve written to them, no reply. I’ve emailed every day. No reply! I’ve called everyday, no agents available!
Second month was due, but I have cancelled my subscription! Bank aware.
They have my number, and address but not had any contact from them to sort this. Even though on my last review they said they were in contact with me!!!
Jane plan much nicer meals, and no hassle. Food arrived on time!
