The meals are awful

The meals are awful, when l tried to cancel it was virtually impossible. Nobody answers the phone, you have to leave a message but no one gets back to you. I had to email , l said l would keep the month l had ordered but they then tried to charge me more money.
There are better companies. Stay well clear

Regarding cancellations, we operate a cancel-anytime policy with no cancellation fees. That said, our longer duration plans are offered at a discounted rate compared to shorter-term plans. If a plan is cancelled early, we simply ask for the difference in price to be paid between the discounted plan selected and the actual duration completed.

This is not for me☹️

I think that Diet Chef is very expensive for what it is, don’t know how other ones compare. The food is terrible, although some of the breakfasts and snacks are not too bad.

I have tried other weight loss…

I have tried other weight loss programmes with month long prepared meals and Diet Chef beats the socks off them. The meals are delicious, rather than just a container of colourless, tasteless food(?)
So far I have enjoyed every meal and look forward to trying the others in my month’s supply.

Unhappy customer

I am customer who often buying Diet Chef meal.
And my last time experience with Diet Chef was really disappointed.
The price went up almost twice - but portions have become small.
And Customer service is poor.
3 times I hade exact delivery date, took day off from job, was waiting for delivery and when I contacted customer service for tracking number, I found out that my order has not been dispatched.
To contact customer service - you have to leave message on answer machine and ask to call you back - I did, but no one contacted me back.
Sorry, but I will not order from them again.

I bought a subscription of diet chef

I bought a subscription of diet chef, and I received the meals last Tuesday 29th July. It states on their ts&cs that you can return the meals within a 14 day period if you aren't happy to get a full refund. Obviously you need to try the meals to see whether they suit you and your happy with the products. I tried them they give me terrible heartburn and at the time of trying them I wasn't 100% sure it was those meals that was giving me this heartburn. I tried different meals, breakfasts and lunches over a five day period and this heartburn was getting worse, I've stopped eating them now and the heartburn has gone, so its Obviously something in those meals thats giving it to me. I contacted diet chef by phone several times it was answer machine so left a message for them to get back to me, i emailed them and had a message from them telling me if I've consumed more than one full day of the meals I cannot have a refund or return the meals ??. How do you know whether these meals are suitable for you unless you keep trying them over a couple of days. It was their meals that was making me feel terrible, I think its very unfair of them, im willing to return the rest of the meals so why cant they deduct the ones I've had from the balance I paid? Terrible company and they haven't the deceny to phone you back to discuss or even explain what to do. Stay away from this company totally unfair and underhanded, the meals are awful and I swear the chicken isn't chicken, so im contacting the FSA about the quality of these meals as surely they shouldn't give me heartburn.

Great way to lose weight

The service is exceptional and the choice of food is amazing i need to study the menu better next month as there is some foods that are a bit spicy for me but everything else is so delicious and i have up to this moment lost three pounds so easy to follow and you have treats as well and no long and boring prep just pop in the microwave

Amazed at small portions but soon…

Amazed at small portions but soon realised there was enough that I did nt feel ill, hungry and cranky. The meals taste good. It is very easy to organise your day with the menus provided. Aiming to do weight loss in bites of a month at a time, this is perfect.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
They try to hold you hostage if you want to cancel, not allowing you to do so without paying more. I've reported them to consumer rights Scotland as I'm fairly certain they are violating consumer law by doing this.
Either way, it's not worth it folks. The food is sub-par, the service piss poor. Go elsewhere.

Poor customer service.

The food is ok but I suppose that diet food.

However before you order watch out for the cancellation clause. Funny how easy it is to place an order online but not possible online.

You have to call and it says your charged to cancell.

I find several of the dinners too hot…

I find several of the dinners too hot and spicy.
Also the delivery man left my parcel outside the block of flats when he should have brought it up to my flat .

Fantastic healthy meals

Fantastic healthy meals. Make you not hungry and if you stick rigidly to the plan it really works. I easily lost 2 stone last time I used them in 2018. I'm back again now aiming to lose 3 stone ....and confident I will. I've tried everything...nothing else works as well as diet chef. Only disappointed this time since 2018 is that they are tough to speak to . Never used to be the case. Signing up and taking your money is easy but trying to get an e mail answered quickly seems to be difficult. Most times you ring with a simple enquiry noone answers the phone. It goes to voicemail which I hate. In any decent company in 2025 you should get someone to answer the phone when a customer calls especially as you give them a not inconsiderarable amount of money! I guess they know the product is good ; they have a monopoly and don't care about customer service these days.

Not for us

Food portions are tiny you have to add to the meals, overpriced for the quality, food did not taste nice as vacuum packed and not fresh, you can only microwave most of the food and we don’t have a microwave, we bought to lose weight and save time and found for us it does neither, getting through to the customer services was a nightmare but the lady who rang back was very nice and helpful, nothing was fresh - a lot my own fault as clearly didn’t read the small print carefully.

Food is great but,

I’d forgotten how big and heavy the boxes were. Being no nearly 80 and also disabled there is no way I can possibly deal with the size of the delivery so I was amazed when the DPD driver offered to bring it in for me. It’s normally just dumped on the ramp infront of my door and left. I have asked can it be delivered in two boxes but have been told it can’t be, which is a great disappointment to me. On the plus side when I told diet chef I would have to cancel as I was about to go for an operation which would make things even more difficult, rather than losing my custom they have offered me a pause in deliveries, so have delayed my next box for three months in the hope I can then cope.
