Onerous returns policy

My main concern was the T&C's,that have been worded to make returning a product counter-productive. Having worked with the UK's major retailers producing instructions for assembly or use, I know it is stretching it to expect the buyer to accept a 20% reduction in a refund simply because a package seal might be damaged. How else is the buyer going to inspect the product? Also, expecting the buyer to forego the delivery cost and pay for the return delivery. In short, very poor after sales service.
