Ordered my broadband today and I requested for it to be activated asap. The advisor Sam was brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable. I'll recieve my router in the morning and It will be activated straight away. Great customer service. Good cheap price and free router to boot. I would highly recommend over their competitors.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
At the start of this year I complained about problems with my internet which resulted in them sending out a new router, after I got the new router still having problems like my internets buffering every other day and I can’t work from home now as the internets so bad. I raised this and was told that their end everything’s fine so there’s nothing wrong with it. After that every time it crashed on my tv, phone or laptop I took a photo of the failed internet notifications as proof. When I called up again I sent these in and still haven’t been helped. I called up Friday as I came home Thursday and the internet light on my router was red. The person I spoke to was extremely rude with a I don’t care attitude and kept talking over me. I have then been told someone has to come out but it won’t be until Monday. I was also told I may be charged for the call out even though I am now paying for internet I’m not receiving for 3-4 days. I then asked if I can cancel my internet as all I’ve had is problems and connection issues and I work from home normally so it’s affecting my job now and I was told I have to pay £160 to leave which is ridiculous. WORST INTERNET PROVIDER IVE EVER USED AVOID AVOID AVOIDDDD!

I've been with DirectSave for years…
I've been with DirectSave for years would never move to another company, i always recommend them to anyone asking which company is best in this area.
Today i've had to contact customer services as had fibrus knocking again trying to poach customers and i said again no not interested. She advised me that the government is getting rid of all the copper broadband and if i signed up today i could have fibrus broadband at the lower rate of £20 per month said no thank you. Phone directsave and asked them about this copper broadband, yes i'm on half and half explained the lady from customer services but bt will be upgrading all broadband in all towns, cities and villages and i would be giving plenty of warning before ours gets upgraded. Explained to the lady i'm not interested in going with another company and way fibrus said was as if i would have too.
Thanks directsave for easing my mind.

For the first time in a decade, I made the decision to switch broadband providers due to a move to a new property in a newly developed estate. I was unable to continue using my existing Sky Broadband service, as they do not offer broadband services in that area.
After researching, Direct Save was recommended to me, and I contacted them to obtain a service for £39.95 per month, with an upload (20 mbps) and download speed of 100mbps.
Having been a Sky customer for a decade, I was not expecting to receive a service that closely matched the advertised speeds. However, I did anticipate a service that would meet my internet needs whenever required. Unfortunately, this was not the case with Direct Save. The speed I was receiving was significantly lower than the price I paid.
I noticed a distinct decline in internet speed, particularly after midnight. At 4:24 a.m. on June 10th, I encountered significantly reduced internet speed. Consequently, I decided to verify my broadband connection. To my surprise, my download speed was 17.32 Mbps at 4 in the morning.
On June 10, I contacted customer service and spoke with a representative who was exceptionally rude and confrontational. Despite paying £39.95 per month, I expected a satisfactory internet speed.
The representative informed me that the speed I was experiencing was virtually universal for the area and that this was the best service available. However, I expressed my desire to cancel the service and find a provider that offered a significantly better service.
The representative responded by stating that I would be liable for the remaining 11 months of my contract if I canceled the service, despite not having been a customer for even a month. This was due to my dissatisfaction with the service I was receiving, which was significantly below the advertised speeds.
In addition, I engaged in a conversation with one of their technical advisors, who exhibited a similar unprofessional demeanour. His response was that he perceived no issues with the speed I was achieving and deemed my concerns unfounded.
Subsequently, I received a letter in the post informing me that I owed Direct Save over £200 for premature termination of my service, despite the fact that they had not provided the requested service. Furthermore, the rude individual who had initially communicated with me did not provide me the opportunity to return the router, which was subsequently added to the total cost of the premature termination.
Weeks later, I received a letter and threatening emails from their debt collection agency (MIL) demanding payment of £281 owed to Direct Save.
As a precautionary measure, I strongly advise individuals considering using Direct Save to thoroughly research the company before engaging with their services. In the unfortunate event that you do not receive the services you paid for and decide to terminate your contract, you will be responsible for paying the remaining balance of your contract.
It is essential to exercise caution and thoroughly do your homework before taking their service.
Update:
Three days ago I received a further correspondence from MIL, their debt collection partner regarding unpaid debt from Directsave. The debt relates to a service I cancelled within a month of signing up because I was not receiving the speed I had paid for.
They initially requested my account details after I left my original review on trustpilot which I provided but never received a response until March 4th from their debt collection partner.
I’m a single mother of 2 on UC and PiP and Directsave is demanding payment of over £246 for a 12-month service I did not use that was cancelled within a month of signing up after I paid £39.95 for a service that did not meet my expectations.
The failure of Directsave to deliver even half the speed I paid for should invalidate the terms of the agreement. I have screenshots of the speed I was receiving leading up to the cancellation day to demonstrate that Directsave did not fulfil its contractual obligations.
I intend to dispute this claim and will continue to do so until the matter is resolved.
