Views given often contradict each other or professional research. Unfortunately removes comments and questions about the content if could be perceived negative. Claims to be an advocate and information hub yet does not check the validity of professionals giving testimonies. Disappointing.

DD doesn’t care about this community

if you want to find a creator who is the proclaimed head of the DID community who truly cares for the community, then to Multiplicity and Me. DD does not care about this community and instead hurts everyone in it. we don’t trust her, and for good reason. NO ONE should make a business out of a trauma disorder and i wish people would understand the harm they cause

No accountability

They claim to be open for friendly but critical discourse but that's not the case. Despite giving wrong information about sensitive mental disorder topics they silenced POC's voices and never took accountability for the hurt they caused.

For the love of everything that is good, you can get better information from someone else.

As a person in treatment for DID, I feel as if this entire business, website, and channel has turned out to be nothing more than a mockery of my disorder. DissociaDID insists on referring to outdated or unsourced information, continuously doing so despite having been notified multiple times; they seem to make a pastime of fear mongering fusion, using the word interchangeably with "integration" (which Carolyn Spring has described as "an overall process of connecting and associating previously disconnected (dissociated) mental processes", which is much more accurate to the general consensus of what "integration" is and only a partial contribution to fusion), stressing that it was not something that they wanted and something their brain "forced" them to do. There is absolutely no scientific evidence that your parts will be forced to fuse– in actuality, true research suggests that forcing patients in this direction will create a worse situation, and may even create a "false" fusion of sorts: alters may pretend to disappear to appease the client or therapist who is trying to push fusion.
This behavior is an absolutely normal occurrence on the DissociaDID channel. I can only infer that DissociaDID prefers to make up facts to using pre-existing ones, because they seem to think inflated numbers make them more valuable to representing the disorder.
If they are criticized or questioned on their videos, comments will be deleted or blacklisted; DissociaDID appears to be incapable of seeing anything remotely negative about themselves (a common occurrence for literally anyone who is on YouTube... or a "business"), even if it offers something constructive, and prefers to exist in an echo chamber consisting only of comments admiring her positivity, bravery, and martyrdom.

I am disgusted at the lack of responsibility this "business" takes when confronted with spreading misinformation and encouraging potentially damaging methods of pursuing treatment and/or self-treatment, as well as their inability to take responsibility for poor service such as undelivered services on their Patreon, past public racist behaviors, and lack of professionalism towards their peers. It feels as if they would rather focus on the super cool, aesthetically appealing alters they have instead of *all* of what the disorder is.

Newsflash, DissociaDID: my parts are not– and were never– the results of some kind of "Which Alter Are You?" quiz on Buzzfeed. Because of this sham, I may never feel comfortable disclosing my condition to others. I am very afraid they would respond with, "Oh, like DissociaDID?" At this point, I'd prefer the Split reference– at least I can say that that's fiction.

Disinformation

They have committed disinformation on multiple occasions and remove valid criticisms claiming that they’re making a safe space for discussion, when they’re actually just removing any comments that don’t agree with their opinion

Misinformation, scam and manipulating

First off: Keep in mind that DissociaDID's audience are generally young and impressionable.

DissociaDID presents themselves as a professional in the mental health field, this is downright false. They are an online creator who spreads an incredible amount of misinformation and stigma, while ironically enough attempting to relieve said stigma.

In addition they have a Patreon of which they have scammed their "beloved" patrons of for months. Long before they took a break patreon members reported lack of fulfillment of the tier rewards. In addition DissociaDID used Patreon as a donation service during their break. Donations to themselves, expressing how they were concerned about not being able to pay the bills if their patreons weren't there for them while saying they're not going to fulfill the Patreon rewards.

Patreon is not a donation service, if you can't manage to fulfill the promised rewards, either remove or pause the tier.

So yeah, DissociaDID is not trustworthy in their quest to share information nor in terms of payment transactions. (That's what Patreon is, a payment service. You provide services in exchange for financial gain. Not a donation service)

If this gets deleted, it's further proof that DissociaDID's "comment policy" on deleting hate isn't actually deleting hate but actual criticism. This is not a hate comment, it's the truth.

Edit: In a livestream DissociaDID manipulated their fans to leave good reviews to "balance" the rating out "if they wanted to". Expressing how horrible it is that people are "executing an organised hate attack" against her. They're breaking the terms of service by making people purposefully leave good reviews PURELY to get the rating up.

Not a licensed MH practitioner despite previous claims and testimonials.

DissociaDID spreads dangerous misinformation to an impression ate young audience, including "what to say to get a diagnosis".

Miss Wilkinson has claimed in multiple videos to be a mental health professional despite not having any formal education in the matter.

She takes testimonials from individuals promoting dangerous practises towards "self-healing" a serious trauma disorder, effectively exposing her young audience to online content creators and unlicensed therapies.

Serious misinformation spreader.

Some of the content is fun and engaging however this platform has a serious problem with using outdated or misrepresented sources and statistics. Many of the things presented by this creator are demonstrably false however they refuse to change or update their content to correct past misinformation, and shut down anyone who asks for things to be corrected. For a platform claiming to be about mental health education, it is wildly dangerous and outright wrong to spread misinformation or refuse to correct mistakes.

Within recent weeks this creator has deleted comments on their channel with any hint of questioning their validity, and have lead a hate campaign against smaller creators who dare make content contrary to what they are saying. They are a dangerous creator who prey on the uninformed and who purposely silence anyone who dares speak against them.

Mental Disorders are Fun!

This is a fun, entertaining site where a charismatic woman sensationalizes mental health disorders. She manages to make them sound like fun, and encourages her viewers to self-diagnose severe disorders, and to distrust any mental health provider who disagrees with said self-diagnosis. This is not a trustworthy source.

The Truth

I started watching Dissociadid on March 1st, 2020 and I really liked her. I am a huge psychology nerd, so I subscribed. It wasn't until the Team Pinata situation happened that I questioned. I still supported her side of it, but I no longer supported Team Pinata and unsubscribed. Then her friends spoke up that's when it changed, manipulating viewers, harming friends' mental state, and telling half-truths are not okay. Although I am still subscribed and still wear the support bracelet I made for them. I do not support her actions the only reason I am still subscribed and wear the bracelet is because of a family member that doesn't believe that what she did is true.

Untrustworthy, And Here is Why.

For any fans and supporters of DissociaDID, I come here to inform you why many people dislike them and why they aren't a good source in general. Please read this in full as this isn't just a word from one person, but many trauma survivors and systems of many backgrounds.

I will try to state the positives DissociaDID (Who for short we will call them DD) has, DD is very good at catching any viewer's eye with their thumbnails and looks from their makeup. They give this professional feeling that would have people see them as a source for information.

Now, what's the bad? For start, DD is very inaccessible for their deaf and HOH viewers as they don't have any closed captions or subtitles at all in their videos that would help their viewers know what they are saying.

Second, they have been very racist within their channel and while they did make an "apology" post, it comes off as very disingenuous to many systems of color, and have shown no real attempt to support systems of color even afterwards.
Third is common misinformation they spread about DID, from trying to push an anti-integration and fusion view to outright saying lies.

Fourth of all they tend to guilt trip to many of their supporters and many of their fans defend them when people call them out that if they don't have the support from their business, Patreon, YouTube, and their other forms of income that they won't have a home or can't eat. Which while using YouTube or Patreon for income isn't inherently bad, it does cause harm when their content revolves a very stigmatized that even they get wrong about time to time.

Finally, their story in general is not only likely to have many fabrications to it, it is also proven by many people who knew DD in real life that some parts of their story might also be false. Adding to that, they even blatantly stolen trauma and other parts of such from RA survivors, which makes DD a dubious source to begin with.

Many of the information they share that are mostly true can easily be found by a simple google search if you want to educate yourself, please do not use DD as a source or support them.

Thank you so much for reading

Misinformation

Uses outdated resources, fearmongers about integration/fusion and persecutors, posing as a professional, and racism and outright lying/faking things to boot. Completely untrustworthy and uses their alters for monetary gain and really plays it up for singlets' entertainment and fetishization.

Misuse of Patreon Donations

DissociaDID LTD claims to be an educational and informative resource on mental health issues, particularly dissociative identity disorder. However, her videos frequently priortise style over substance, the latter which is often incorrect, biased, poorly researched, etc. As a consequence of this, the majority of her audience are very young, vulnerable people, many of whom suspect they too have mental health conditions.
In spite of this, DissociaDID frequently uses manipulative tactics, such as threatening her own homelessness, suicide baiting, etc, to encourage her viewers to donate to her out of concern. This is despite social-media statistics sites, merchandising, her patreon, etc indicate she produces more revenue than most graduate salaries in the UK.
She has amassed a considerable amount of money on Patreon but has very rarely fulfilled any of the promised perks, even prior to her hiatus. This includes failure to deliver a personal skype call to patreons paying £300/mo.
She also collected donations to fund a Visa for her ex partner to move from Canada to the United Kingdom, however, this never came to fruition and the visa was never purchased. Despite this, DissociaDID has not made a direct statement/apology or suggested refunding the donors.
DissociaDID comes across as very inconsiderate of her viewers and fans and appears content with pocketing their money offering little in return.

Good entertainment channel but not…

Edit:
a lot of the “good” (5 star reviews) reviews say any of the negative ones are an “organized attack.”

I looked on Reddit to see if this is true and all I have seen seen the trust pilot site linked on Reddit and people saying to leave genuine, helpful, informed reviews that follow this site’s guidelines.

A lot of the positive reviews sing praise where as the “negative” ones are pointing out actual problems with DissociaDID content such as misinformation, racism, lying, abuse of patreon (using it as donation fund rather then what the site is meant for, you pay and get something in return. Many people have stated they’ve gotten nothing. )
Many of these 5 stars reviews came after DissociaDID Had a live stream where she casually stated people could write some nice reviews for her since she was getting so much Criticism on here (here actual words was these negative reviews are an organized attacked) but didn’t “have too.” Only if they “wanted to.” Essentially guilt tripping and manipulating her fans into writing these reviews.
She also claimed to not understand why people were reviewing a YouTuber when she actually runs a business connected to her YouTube called DissociaDID LTD. People are within their right to review her business.

-

Often mis-use and most-quote statistics to fit their own narrative.

Is known to spread misinformation. Such as
-alters can die.
-112M in the world have DID.
Both are false statements.
They also have testimonials on their website one by a Kristine Windsor who has claimed to cure their own DID in 2 years which is scientifically impossible

DissociaDID Treats their DID experience as a universal experience and uses it as an “educational source” often only using their own experiences as education when any doctor will tell you everyone with DID experiences it differently.

They claim to be an educator but has no actual education and should not being giving trauma recovery advice to anyone. It is dangerous and irresponsible to do such a thing.

Would recommend to watch for fun but not as any source of education, you will only learn false facts and the experience of 1 person with DID when everyone experiences DID slightly different and handles their mental illness differently.

Misinformation, unqualified.

Dissociadid claims to specialize and be a professional in dissociative identity disorder and mental health, but has said herself to have dropped out of university. She has not finished any courses or recieved any qualifications to be making the claims of being a "professional." She's mislead her audience by making false blanket statements about the disorder she is supposed to be educating about and uses the same sources in all of her videos, even if they may be outdated and wrong. She is not to be trusted.

Dissociadid is not trustworthy

Dissociadid is not a professional, and gives misleading and at times completely false information. She has been made aware of this by professionals and fans but she refuses to acknowledge her mistakes or retract the information. She censors comments so people will not see those that say her information is false. She encourages self diagnosis and lying to your doctor so they will think you don't know what DID is, making a diagnosis easier. She presents her own symptoms as the universal experience despite this not being the case. She has had many accusations of racism leveled against her as well and though she insists she addressed the issue, she did not take accountability or respond to issues people had with her statement. She is NOT educational despite her claims, her information is often false, and she cites sources which are not reliable, old, or do not actually support what she is saying. She refuses to take accountability for this and continues to spread this disinformation.
