The staff in the restaurant were
The staff in the restaurant were, as always, helpful and friendly. The meal, however, was not up to the usual standard. The batter on the fish was hard and brittle, the peas discoloured and the chips overdone. The fish itself was very tasty. I hasten to add that it was my own fault for ordering lunch so late in the day - it clearly had to be reheated. This was a one off, the food is usually first class. With regard to my other purchases, the staff member in charge of the bagged products kindly offered to carry the bag of topsoil to my car, an offer I gratefully accepted. Overall, a very enjoyable shopping experience.

Tomato plants
We popped in first thing in the morning to have a look around and to see what vegetable plants you had and was disappointed that we’d timed it wrong for tomato plants, not wanting to carry compost we decided to call back in on our way home. Low and behold, the tomato plants had been put so we were able to get everything but courgette plants.

I visited over the weekend in passing to just have a browse and came away with some bits and pieces as well as staying for a quick cup of tea and cake in the cafe. I’ll be back properly soon as my gardens will be needing some attention fairly soon!
Membership card
Well I’m not very impressed with the garden centre at the moment.
I paid for my membership in December 2021, but Nobody explained that my husband and I were entitled from that moment onwards to 2 free cups of tea or coffee a month?
So we lost out for December!
Secondly the young man at the till, explained that the membership card probably won’t arrive, so don’t worry just carry around with me in my purse my membership number!!
For £12.00 a year, I want to make sure I receive our free coffee every month, plus my membership card!!!

I often have to wait a long time at the till . Staff are usually very good and apologetic but not enough staff around generally to ask questions or queries.
