An overrated breakfast at best.
No scrambled but a fried egg instead?
No sausage but an extra rasher of bacon.
Told we couldn’t sit near the window in an empty restaurant.
During our meal, the waitress proceeded to lean over us to replace the condiments whilst we were eating, not even waiting until we had departed!
In summary, a poor quality establishment and wont be returning in my lifetime!
No wonder it was empty…

I am a regular visitor to the Dobbies cafe, Cirencester, Gloucestershire. The service appears to get worse each visit.
Today just after lunch there was two members of staff whom were struggling with the volume of people waiting to be served.
I personally waited nearly 25 minutes to be served, to be told they had ran out of the 2 for 1 scone offer, when I asked the server could I not have 2 from the large amount on the counter display I was told no, there not part of the deal, our baker makes scones specifically for the deal. When I asked what the difference was between the scones on the counter and what the baker makes, there was a shrug of the shoulder and no comment made. When asked if I wanted anything else.
I asked for a caramel latte, to be told we have no caramel? Having ordered a different coffee, I waited a further 10 mins for it.
Management need to organise more staff alongside training in customer service.
Certainly won't be returning.

Fabulous choices in store, great quality of plants. Clean, well layed out and attractive to walk around. Friendly helpful staff. However could do with more staff in the very popular coffee shop.
Always good service and prices with my Dobbies card.
Your staff were extremely helpful on two occasions: firstly when my 93 year old mother thought she had lost her debit card. The Manager in the restaurant stepped in quickly to assist.
Also when we were looking for indoor repotting compost and feed. You did not have either product in stock.
So 5 stars for the staff and 0 for no stock.
I love the garden centre and decided to take a friend out for lunch today at the dobbies restaurant. I was appalled with the service taking so long to find us a seat and taking our order. I had fish and chips my friend had tuna mayonnaise baked potato. The fish meal was warm not hot, chips were cold and the tuna mayonnaise baked potato had no mayonnaise in it. When we asked why there was no mayonnaise they said they were cutting back and only using a small amount. But we said there was no mayonnaise in it. They just shrugged their shoulders and walked away. We left most of the food as it was appalling. It was a waste of my money.

We visited the coffee/cake counter..stood for about 15mins maybe more in a queue..young ladies serving doing their best but had to leave their post to fetch cups/crockery so they could carry on..they needed help..their were about 4 waiters over in the 'meal' area chatting!!! Quite oblivious to the long queue...also the scone tasted as if it had been frozen..disappointed..
Plenty of tables empty standing in queue for over 30mins waiting for tables to be cleared and then to be seated, gave up and left only wanted a sandwich

We have used the Cirencester Dobbies restaurant for a long time unfortunately it has gone down hill long queues for drinks some times you arrive and the coffee and cake section is not open this is due to no staff the last five visits we ask for the two for one cream scones and are told the have non don’t advertise what you can’t deliver it is not the staffs fault as they try very hard but are under pressure all the time which makes unable to deliver the best service
Called in at the cafe. Long queue for drinks with one person serving (who remained cheerful and friendly throughout). We were only allowed to sit in one area which was full of dogs some of whom were sitting on seats or clogging aisles. The light bright area was out of bounds, the seats we were allowed to use were dirty and stained. Not impressed.

I knew exactly what I wanted and, thankfully, it hadn't been moved to another part of the store.
Service slow food not great or fresh
Disappointed to say the least
Scrambled eggs like mass produced rubber
Also confusing as told no black pudding the chef informed the table next to me they had black pudding and when I went to order my breakfast fill no rolls !!!!!

Went to dobbies cafe today 5/8/2003
The supervisor was very poor the person who served us needed training how to make coffee or a refresher course we asked for a cappuccino and got a coffee that looked like a basic coffee that had hot milk in it didn’t even resemble a latte asked it they had any cream scones told no paid for our coffee and someone came out with some staff not very helpful didn’t say they would go and see just no very poor customer service all round has gone down hill a lot in recent months

I took a friend to Cirencester Dobbies for a Birthday lunch. We waited almost 5 minutes to be seated, despite there being several menmbers of staff around and the restuarant was not particularly busy. We then waited a further 15 minutes for our order to be taken. my friend ordered macaroni cheese from the menu only to to told it was no longer available, it was only 12.30.
I had to ask for the table to be wiped as there was ketchup on it. The chairs are disgustingly dirty. Very poor housekeeping. I wish I had gone somrwhere else.

Met a friend for coffee and the coffee was so weak and cold I had to take it back and the restaurant department saw me and made me another coffee and very friendly
As time went on we decided to have another coffee and it was so bad I had to leave it could not face drinking it more training and customer care needed

Four stars as always for the hard working staff. Prices have risen again, second time in a few months but unfortunately I think the quality of the food has gone downhill. I have been coming to Dobbies in Cirencester ever since they took over the site. This is the first time I feel compelled to complain about food quality. If I could I would only offer 2 stars for food.
We went for coffee in the restaurant, the tables have been moved and for coffee,if you want to sit at a table you are right in the dog area which we do not want to be in. The sofas are now in the area farthest from the dogs and as people in our 70s these are too low.
Also the seats cushions on the chairs are filthy. We will not be returning.
Dobbies restaurant Cirencester -We shopped in the garden center, took shopping to car and came back for a bite to eat. 4 x hungry adults stood by sign saying "please wait here to be seated" for 5 minutes, then 10 minutes, alongside other potential diners. We got fed up of being ignored, gave up and went elsewhere. Staff making eye contact with us queuing then walking away. Plenty of staff about, but no one seemed to be taking responsibility or welcoming guests. This was a Saturday lunchtime in a busy garden centre cafe - hopeless! Won't bother again.
