An overrated breakfast at best. No scrambled but a fried egg instead? No sausage but an extra rasher of bacon. Told we couldn’t sit near the window in an empty restaurant. During our meal, the w... See more

6 of us had lunch prior to Christmas, Dobbies restaurant was very busy but there were only a couple of servers who were run off their feet. Of course, service was slow some of our lunches were served before others in our group had received their drinks - no teapots as many
tables around us were left uncleared, similarly no milk was brought for teas, no teaspoons were available. It was quite chaotic. Eventually the manager came out to help the lovely servers and it was thought by us all that he should have done do much sooner. The servers were lovely and as helpful as they could be under the circumstances, the manager not so much.
The meals when received were of good standard as usual apart from the time it took for some to be brought to the table.
Generally, more staff should have been drafted in for such a busy time of the year for such a large restaurant area. A management mistake of huge proportions
Plenty of choice for everyone who ever you may be buying for. Bright and cheerful. Great restaurant.
Although the variety of gift merchandise available is less than last year, what was there was great and the service was the usual high standard.
Very friendly helpful staff. Tills were very busy but que went down quickly.
Very festive looking of course, presented really well.
20 second queuing target seems to be a thing of the past.12minits today when 3rd in the que.

Garden Centre looked really lovely but the restaurant was another matter. We we put in a section where there was a few tables at top one side and us, after 10/15min waitress still at top and sorry NOT busy we asked another waitress in her section if we could come over (as we wasn't getting served any time soon). Coffee luke warm, food when it arrive ok price ok had to ask to pay bill as no one around ( place nearly empty) service disgraceful. Will not go there again . Nailsworth garden center here I come hot coffee at least

The Cirencester store is looking very festive and there are some lovely Christmas plants and gifts on sale.
I went specifically to meet friends for a coffee and chat and was able use my birthday voucher too. Good selection of cakes and decent tasting coffee.
I love dobbies garden centre and always make sure we stop for a drink and some thing to eat in the cafe. My only criticism is the cloth seats were grubbing and stained. We moved around several tables and sadly most were the same. Very off putting.
The help of two particular staff, (regrettably didn't get their name) was fantastic. We bought a rather large stone urn, they gave us the label to take to the till and when we by the time we had paid for it the urn was dismantled and they were waiting to take it to our car. and they loaded our car, advising on weigh distribution etc. Even taking away and disposing non related rubbish for us. Thank you to both of them. I'm sure they know who they are.
One of the products I was looking for was not in stock
Good selection of plants and bulbs in good condition
Well stocked garden centre, good range of indoor and outdoor plants, gifts and seasonal items - Christmas was already on display. There also a butchery, sainsburys, lakeland and their own coffee shop and restaurant.
We visited the restaurant and were seated after a short queue, no queue for the coffee shop, but once seated were promptly served by friendly staff and food was very good.
The store looks fantastic on its run up to Xmas. A little bit like home now as we call here two and sometimes three times a week, even if it’s just for coffee. Disappointed this time that there were no tea cakes and that our coffee cups were about 40per cent froth! The guy was obviously new to the job and will improve as he progresses. Otherwise a pleasurable experience again!
Ok for a garden centre. Prices average, some expensive. Restaurant lovely and friendly colleagues, improved over the year.
Cashiers abrupt and need coaching on how to process HTA e-gift cards.
