Found exactly what we wanted without any problems

All visits are positive in most areas, just one gripe. I have twice (over a period of time) had to mention to a member of staff that the settees in the restaurant are not clean; there are stains and crumbs and there are crumbs on the floor, too, and this is first thing in the morning, not during the day when it would be understandable. Apart from that, the staff are lovely.

Bought a joules jumper. No problems.
Cafe is another problem, constantly short staffed and run out of basics. I.e. scones last week !!!

Forever looking at items of interest - only to find no prices on them, or items been moved and wrong price on shelf. So fed up with this problem I almost stop looking. Never easy to find someone to help.
Also items like gardening gloves are spread out in different places across the gardening area, need them altogether to see what is available etc. not impressed with shop, and prices higher than most other nurseries / gift shops I have visited.

I have been to a few Dobbies garden centers but Findern is inevitable one of my favourite as its always clean in the cafe and has a wide range of products! I love going and looking round!

Went to Dobbies to look at paving & found what we wanted along with spring bulbs, Took up offer to join Dobbies Club Plus for £12. with all our purchases save £23.

Some items had no prices on them no staff around to ask
So had to take to the till

Lots of stock,perhaps a little pricey,clean and tidy

Restaurant was busy. 3 of a party of 4 went to the counter to order, this took 15 minutes alone, understaffed. On ordering we were informed that jacket potatoes, toasties and pannies were not being served that day. Why ? No notice up, anywhere informing people that this was the case. 4 meals were ordered, our drinks (Tea) took 15 minutes to arrive, then a further 20 minutes before the meals arrived, and only then after chasing them up. If you have a menu on the table, then people expect to be able to order the basic items, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and toasties, if they can't it should be clearly noted before people enter the restaurant.

We came to buy some plants to replace our bedding plants, plenty of choice but a little expensive xx

I went to Dobbies with my daughter and my granddaughter who is nearly two. We enjoyed looking round the lovely plants and bulbs before we spent some time looking at all the tropical fish. Next we went to the cafe and the little one enjoyed playing in the soft play area. My daughter then selected a play tower for her cats and with my Dobbies card we got 20% discount. Everyone was happy including the cats.

Saturday visit and no food except for cakes available again, what is happening with this restaurant?

Made a small purchase of bedding plants, pleasant experience.

We just wanted a quick visit to choose three bushes. We found what we wanted but wasn't sure about one and how it would grow. A man working outside came and enlightened us. That was a great help

Good centre and well equipped for the garden . Animals . Food . And other accessories? But the service in the restaurant is bad

Very friendly staff, now we are used to the system of ordering its quick and easy.

Regular visitor to Dobbies Derby branch and my last visit was to buy a birthday present for my stepson and always pay a visit to the cafe. Staff are friendly and engaging making it a very pleasant place to visit

I don’t like the lay out now. You don’t walk into plants but bbq now and unless you make a de tour you could miss the plants! The cafe hugely lets this garden centre down, we had to sit at our table so they could bring us a pot of tea so had eaten our cakes by the time it had arrived. The cafe seats are grubby and don’t give a good impression and Sainsbury’s what’s all that about??

Great Garden Centre with very friendly and helpful staff.
The only thing that lets it down is the toilets which could with an upgrade. It doesn’t help though when members of the public seem to take pleasure in decorating the place with toilet roll and showing no respect.
