Staff. Dry helpfull, place very clean

Had a problem with our rewards card. The problem was sorted out in a very professional manner by the young lady who was on the till also by the checkout supervisor.

I like that there is table service and the restaurant is very clean in Dunfermline.

As always good service and 20% discount offer makes things more affordable

So disappointed in coffee in the cafe. I always request extra hot and it comes luke warm at most. By the time you eat your cake/scone its barely warm. Not good as not cheap.

The staff who served us were all very polite and could not be faulted. Unfortunately they were let down by the lack of availability of key ingredients in a few dishes. No mash for sausage and mash. No scampi so that was off the menu, no coleslaw so chips were substituted with toastie 😕. Hardly any choice in cakes. Disappointing as it has always been good.

Went for lunch after reading about it on line.it was most enjoyable and as there was no queue we were accompanied to our table with waiting in a long queue. Service was also quick, waitress pleasant and food enjoyable.

Good buy with large plant with £5 off. Had a snack in the cafe and that was very disappointing. Very little on show at the counter and nothing in the way of sandwiches or light lunch items. Only cakes and scones basically and this is not a healthy option. I had a cheese scone which was terrible , very little obvious cheese and anaemic looking. Would not return to Dunfermline in a hurry. Other Dobbies do not operate like that.

We had lunch here and bought clothes from cotton traders. The staff were very friendly and professional.I did my own research and I strongly believe front line staff should be paid much more. Retail staff on the front line who give the customer a good experience should be rewarded with a decent living wage in REAL Terms. Also Dobbies should spend more time and money training staff. This will impact on the positively on the bottom line.

YET AGAIN, AT 2.45pm THERE ARE NO CREAM SCONES LEFT = NO CREAM SCONE OFFER AT ALL (starts at 2pm). I suspect that most other people then just buy a more expensive cake etc but in my opinion this is a sales technique and is deceitful.

We visited the soft play with our granddaughter then went through to have breakfast in restaurant, seemed a bit expensive for what we had however it was all fine !

Was meeting a friend for breakfast - she was late but staff were very accommodating and kept her breakfast hot!

Did some leisurely Christmas shopping with 20% off voucher! Then had another coffee and scone!

Purchasing was good. However coffee from a machine in your Dunfermline store is woeful and has been since the refurbishment. I contrast this with a great coffee a few days later at your Perth store physically made by a staff member. Coffee at Dunfermline is just awful

Great store, also the introduction of Waitrose is making shopping at the Dunfermline Dobbies more exciting. Commonly have a great breakfast or a lunch, good fresh food and all points spent on the garden treats.

It was very good. I have back problems and can’t lift heavy loads. Bought chip bark and had willing help from a staff member to load up my trolley and unload it into the car. He was great. Dunfermline store, about 2pm on 6 October. Sorry not to remember his name but he was great.

Cafe focus - Very few cake options compared to usual, especially gluten free (you were doing so well on that for a while). Not enough serving staff for the coffee and cake line, it took about 20 mins to get served. The previous visit I gave up and didn't get anything, as I'd not moved in 20 mins. There should also be a way for those in soft play to buy from the wider range of cakes (including gluten free) without having to go stand in that queue and pull your child out of soft play if there alone with them. Soft play however is great, and shop has a wide selection of plants, gifts, fish and food.

The cafe had no milk, that is oat and cows and was offering soya instead. They also had no cream. There was nothing to tell us that till we had queued and started to order. We appreciate supply issues happen but a sign would have been helpful as we wasted 10 minutes. Experience in the garden centre outside area was much better; staff very helpful and informed.
