Just about OK and certainly nothing special.
We like going out for a coffee but unfortunately Dobbies at Marple is not the place for a pleasant interlude. The eating area, it's not up to the standard to be called a restaurant, has poorly behaved children running around and dogs barking when not under proper control of their owners. So sorry, not a pleasant experience but OK for a quick drink and leave. The remainder of the premises is expensive but average for a garden centre. Not one of the upmarket garden centres unfortunately.

I frequent DOBBIES garden centre in…
I frequent DOBBIES garden centre in Marple and I must say that Iam never disappointed. The huge variety of plants & shrubs is amazing. Inside I love to browse around at the lovely food , such a great choice and the quality is goods I always have tea/ coffee and tea cakes or a mixed grill whichever the mood takes. I really enjoy my visits and the staff are friendly and informative.

Jubilee Afternoon Tea
Our Jubilee Afternoon Tea was only average due to the choice of sandwiches given.
Thick sliced white bread with cucumber or avocado and tomato for the vegan choice.
The same thickness of bread for the non vegan choice of tuna or cheese and chutney.
Very disappointing, but the scones and cakes were appetizing.

Always enjoy shopping here
Always enjoy shopping here. Lots to look at and very friendly approachable staff. I had forgotten my Loyalty card and the lovely checkout lady soon found my postcode and i still was able to get my discount. Excellent service!

Marple review
The staff are great, helpful and cheerful. The plant side of things is brilliant, lovely, healthy plants set out in garden type groupings. However. the cafe is always lacking food. On every occasion that I have visited there has been no breakfast, or no cooked food at all only cake and on the last occasion no scones.

I have been going to Dobbies in Marple for many years I have bought furniture , plants etc The staff are friendly , helpful & the store is a joy to walk around I wanted a lemon tree last Christmas for my son , none of the other local centres had any but Dobbies did
