Using dobbies card gave some good offers on plants and both had good coffees

My husband and I had received a notice that there was 20% off for members, so we purposefully visited our local store with the intention of buying some plants. However, we spotted a rattan garden furniture set that had a sign up saying 20% off for members and we decided that we would treat ourselves.

When a member of staff started to process the order, we were then told that there were none in stock and that the 20% could not be applied once they were again back in stock. This is not the first time this has happened to me, I went into specifically to buy a lawn mower which was all signed up with a members price, but again none in stock. I am beginning to think that the offers are not genuine as there is no stock, so really there is not much benefit to being a member!

I have since bought the same furniture at a cheaper price and it arrives next week

We think Dobbies are very generous as a garden member you get 2 free coffees every month and discounts on all purchases. The staff are friendly and helpful my only disappointing view is there are never any scones for sale.

We always find the staff extremely pleasant and helpful.

The check-out assistant was very pleasant and helpful and the plants were of a good quality.

Good range of plants and great gift and cards.
Only negative is the cafe, had a take out latte which was OK, but this store, Marple, never has the homemade scones anymore. Been several times and always told the same thing, they are too busy to make them. Been like that since before Christmas. Surely by now they should have addressed the staffing problem.

Shopping in a relaxed atmosphere is always good. Extremely helpful members of staff. A pleasurable experience.

Got some excellent reduced bargains also bought some veg for our allotment taking full advantage of the 20% off plants offer.
My wife also used the Daily Mirror voucher to get £5 off £25 spend, well worth a visit !!

Staff are always helpful and pleasant.
Plenty of choice, reasonable prices, plenty of parking and a coffee shop too!

Aware its a "free" coffee but its now a push button machine coffee and very weak. Not at all impressed with the change from the proper coffee machine which I note is still there - hope you bring it back into use.
Will try the tea next visit

Wonderfully knowledgeable staff member, who explained to us about cacti and succulents and caring for them. An absolute star. On this occasion we avoided the cafe as we never get satisfaction there. Best advice I could give.

Couldn’t find what I wanted to buy as a gift. So settled for a gift voucher. My fault I suppose

I was very impressed by the friendly welcome given by the young lady who served me and her general enthusiasm. She really is a good ambassador for Dobbies and I hope the company appreciate the good work she is doing for them.
