Dobbies Garden Centres - Swindon Reviews 210

Today my friend was treating me to lunch at Dobbies restaurant Stratton .
I have been to quite a few different Dobbies cafes , and this is the first time I have been so appalled by the method of ordering and incompetence of the staff in dealing with members of public . After waiting a significantly long time to be sat at a table , we then waited a further 20 mins for our order to be taken . When it was , we were ignored and people seated long after after us attended to first .
After said food arrived , eaten , asked again to sit down to wait and pay bill .
This system does not work unless enough members of the staff are fully competent and trained in how to use systems. Very disgruntled and would not be looking to return .

Ver well presented goods and helpful staff and reasonable prices.

The lady at the desk and all staff were very helpful.
I went to the garden centre with a friend that day.
I joined the monthly drinks and offers you have with your hobbies club plus on your visits there.
I got a voucher to spend.
It is a place to visit have a look around for in the house items as well as the garden.
The outside is good to look forward to better weather in the winter time.

It was a lot more stocked up with plants and looked more cared for at Dobbies Stratton, than last time I went. It was tidy, pleasant walking round and staff were visible and friendly 🤗

The friendly nature of all the staff and a quick response on getting our drinks/food

When one can find a member of staff for advice. No body available.

Good to be able to walk around. Good selection of plants and garden tools. Good cafeteria as well.

Swindon store-Great staff in restaurant, nothing too much trouble

Visited the Swindon branch. Had lunch in the cafe which was very good value - large portions and very tasty toasted sandwiches which came with a nice side salad. Staff were very efficient and friendly.
Bought some nice perennials in excellent condition. Was also looking for some evergreen shrub or conifers - but there weren't any mature specimens.

Well that was an experience 😳
From the time you walk in and made to stand at the doorway,
A member of staff then stands by a table and shouts the leanth of the restaurant for you to go and sit,
We ordered our food when it comes out well what a sorry plate that was, no cutlery, no butter for the toast and no drinks, I asked for cutlery amd our drinks and was told they are short staffed,
Not a good environment to sit and enjoy the rubbish they give us , let's just say I left hungry and a lot of money down and nearly two hours of my life I'm not getting back🤣

Clean tidy always new things to view staff very friendly

I wanted to give a massive shout out to Shaun (excuse spelling if it's Sean!) at Dobbie's Swindon: we decided to get garden furniture last Sat at short notice and he was super helpful. He replied to my voicemail and email promptly; we changed our mind on the set and he patiently answered our questions. He then got a team to get the heavy box into our car in no time at all. Great service, very grateful, good work team! Thank you. I recommend.

Poor customer service, to advertise big on product but ignored the fact they are big/ overly expensive on all products , soo expensive to shop here! Go to a local nursery!!

Plenty of plants to choose from.
Location and layout of store was brilliant.

Lovely choice of garden plant and flowers , always a lovely experience in visiting Dobbies 👍
