Not everyone i know has had a dog from here riddled with problems

I purchased my little girl from her more than 3years ago. We have had no problems with her apart from allergies which cockers are prone to anyway specially in summer. My girl is healthy and vet always compliments just how healthy a fit my english cocker is and beautiful teeth and coat. She never ripped anything in the house. And well behaved all round. Best decision getting her she has completed my life. People who say go to a responsible breeder... i know many people who have done that met the parents and all sorts the way people say do it. And there dogs have been riddled with health problems or sadly died young. So honestly i don't trust many breeders. As now a cocker is worth 2-3 thousand. When my girl was 525. So how can any body afford that price. So when these breeders can't sell there litters because people can't afford it. What happens to them pups ? Or eventually breeders will stop breeding cause no one will pay them prices for a pup. I know plenty of people that paid big money and dog has health problems and bad behaviour all sorts. Yet my girls is a lot less cheap and perfect in every way..... and also my fella got his chow from her never had any health problems and my sister got her chocolate lab no health problems. So work it out....

Absolutely awful!!!!!!

Absolutely awful, I know so many people who have purchased a puppy from this place and unfortunately these puppies are riddled with health issues. Please do not support places like this with your money! Find reputable breeders when getting a puppy! Places like this need to be shut down and luckily the government and councils are doing more to stop evil places like this from existing.

1 star is the lowest I can write

1 star is the lowest I can write. Although it should be minus. This place is absolutely disgusting! My puppy is 7 months old, purchased him at 8 weeks old, hes already cost an arm and a leg in vet bills and he has a life limiting condition. Do not buy from this disgusting place!!!!
My poor little Puggle now suffers every single day and will be on medication. Absolutely no regard for dogs health or wellbeing.

After only 10 days of having our puppy…

After only 10 days of having our puppy he has fallen ill, should have listened to the reviews because they are very accurate! Do NOT buy a puppy from here as they are selling poorly/malnourished puppies for extortionate prices! Staff were friendly when we were there however must be disgusting humans to be promoting the use of puppy farms and taking advantage of people looking to give a dog a home. Please DO NOT waste your time or money on this place! They need to be closed down.

A glorified puppy farm...

A glorified puppy farm that needs shutting down.
Sick animals, separating young puppies from their mothers, poor conditions and owners just in it for the money but getting away with it by knowing how to stay within the guidelines and just accusing people of never buying from them in the first place.
The horror stories are true. Do not buy from this place. Find a reputable breeder or adopt.
This kind of dog shopping may have been accepted 50 years ago but this is just a fancy puppy farm, solely for profit.

They use kottage kennels in Altrincham and the state of this place is disgusting. Some dogs have skin conditions. Some are under feed. Please don't use these people. The RSPCA have been informed. Absolutely shocking.

I have been here as a child

I have been here as a child, went to visit a week or two ago.
Found that there had been a massive changes in size. No longer boarding kennels or shop.
Read through the reviews & to be honest there is alot of bad & good.
I am very unsure about this place now!
Could do with reassurance in regards to this.

Sick puppy’s sold here

I bought my dog from here a few years ago. Within the first week of having him i was told by my vet he had lose knee caps and a under lining jaw. It has cost me thousands of pounds on operations on his knee. Just when I thought all the expense was over he then got diagnosed with diabetes, insulin and jections cost me £95 a month. This is something I have to pay for because I love my dog and want him to live a happy life. He was only 5 years old when he was diagnosed.
Last year I started to notice he was walking into things. I took him to the vets to then be told he has cataracts and is going blind. They could operate but not 100% it would be successful and is every expensive. I couldn’t let my dog go blind knowing he could have many years left so I paid £4250 for the op. Thankfully it was successful and he has a new lease of life. He is now on 3 different types of eye drops a day which he will be on for the rest of his life that costs me £100s a year. It is so cruel what these people are doing to these dogs and need to be stopped.

My friend bought a cocker spaniel from…

My friend bought a cocker spaniel from Dogs 4 Us just 3 years ago. Her beautiful female cocker spaniel has died at just 3 years of age ! She had a tumour in her stomach which was the size of 2 large fists. So this tumour has been growing for some time. My friend is absolutely devastated as you can imagine, and I have now started looking into this awful place "Dogs 4 Us" in Manchester where she purchased her dog from as a puppy.
Having asked my friend if the mum and dad was available to see at the time of purchase, they were not. Her dog did seem to have attachment issues displayed by her behaviour - being over protective and barking a lot. I actually cannot believe it having read the comments from other people who have visited Dogs 4 Us, and the conditions that these puppies are being left in.
I myself have bread dogs - just 2 litters as I own pedigree shihtzus - male and female. So I have good knowledge. No way should the mum and dad not be available for you to see when you purchase a puppy. They should be played with, and in contact with others from the litter.
I have also been reading comments from a lady who used to work from "Dogs 4 Us". She has confirmed that the ex-owner Mr Potts died a few years ago, and that this place is now owned by his son and daughter. You will also need to look at your "certificate of pedigree" from this awful place. There will be no DL number for the grandparents on this certificate as they are not registered pedigree names. If your puppy's name starts with the name "Kottage" then the puppy has come from David Furness Kottage kennels ltd, a prolific puppy farmer and Agent to "Dogs 4 Us" ! Well known for his sick puppies and crossbreeds (being sold as pedigrees)
Please, please do not purchase a puppy from this place. I believe there is another Dogs 4 Us in Leeds. I myself will be taking this further for my friend, and now having read all the comments on here. I so sympathise with you all, and together with your reviews, maybe we can put a stop to these "puppy farms" where the animals are treated so badly, and all with money making tactics from the owners of Dogs 4 Us.
Steer clear folks. No way should the dogs be encountering all these health issues at such at young age.

animal cruelty

I went today to see what puppy breed we might buy in the future and hopefully see which dog takes to us the best, and we expected to see all the puppies out so we could stroke and interact with them but instead we was met with dogs locked behind glass in tiny rooms. Many of them were on their own in the cages and not with other puppies. They were lay on hard floors and even their beds had no blankets or something comfy to lie on. They all looked sad and hopeless as they knew they couldn’t come out and be loved. These are puppies they should be loved and played with all day long, not stared at and sat in a tiny room for hours on end every day. Each room had a radiator in them with chipped paint and rust on them where the puppies had been chewing at them as they didn’t have toys to chew on which is a basic need for a puppy when it’s teething. I am no dog expert but I see this as animal cruelty and neglect. On the hard floor was just a load of dust, sorry but last time I checked they’re not hamsters. To be quite honest it made me upset seeing how sad the puppies looked and made me want to never come back again. Please fix the way you treat your dogs, they’re not just a money maker, they have thoughts and feelings.
