FOUL TASTING

Dolce Gusto have changed the taste of Latte Macchiato and not for the better. They are foul and undrinkable. We have used these pods for 10 years. Very disappointed.

Dreadful machine

Dreadful machine
Now on my second machine with the same problem. Both worked okay for a couple of days but now when pluging into the electric no red indicator light comes on, this even though electric current is showing via the cable. (Current tester) also when positioning the hot/cold lever on the top of the machine and in the middle the pod cover raises but not able to pull the pod holder out. It appears stuck. The same has happened to my previous machine which was a gift. Not impressed by this machine and not recommended.

What have you done to the latte…

What have you done to the latte macchiato, the box says improved taste ,I beg to differ .It was prefect how it used to be ,in fact it was my favourite flavour. Now it has a weird after taste ,cant quite put my finger on what it is ,but I can safely say I don't like it and won't be buying them again .All I can say is WHY!!!!!!!

Awful machine I am now on my fourth

Awful machine I am now on my fourth, each machine has had the same issue leaking from the base. Despite softener water, which I recently had installed it has made no difference. Descaling as recommended every 3 months, only one person using the machine. Think very carefully before purchasing this machine. Nespresso a far better coffee pod machine.

I bought a coffee machine as a gift for…

I bought a coffee machine as a gift for someone four months ago on Amazon. They were experiencing issues with the product overheating and overrunning. When I contacted Dolce Gusto, they refused to offer me a refund, even though their policy states I am entitled to one within two years if the product has any faults. I spoke with customer service, but they did not understand my situation and lied about their policy, claiming that because it had been four months, they could only issue a replacement. This is unfair, and they should not have offered me a replacement when I was unhappy with their product in the first place, as it let me down. Their staff did not help at all and kept offering me a replacement when I clearly did not want one. Fortunately, I contacted Amazon, and they sorted out the issue, processed my refund, and issued a returns label so I could send it back. I will no longer shop for their products and certainly will not recommend them. Rubbish company and brand; their employees have no clue about their policy!

Non espresso latte delivery

I’ve often wondered why Amazon have achieved such dominance in the supply and delivery business in the UK and the answer is that it is so often the case that direct-from-manufacture supply is so lethargic and pathetically organised in comparison. Nescafé Dolce Gusto by Nestlé is one such example that needs a wake-up coffee. Having received my impressive DeLonghi Dolce Gusto coffee maker in one day from Amazon, I was very keen to try out several of the many Dolce Gusto pod coffee types available as soon as possible when few shops seem to stock the full range. An introductory offer to tempt those who had bought machines via Amazon to instead use Nestlé’s own Dolce Gusto direct supply website for pods seemed appealing. But my first impression already dictates that it is the last time I am likely to use this service. An epic fail of a simple task of sending the customer six boxes of pods from the Nestlé warehouse, less than 40 miles away from my home, even within the unimpressive advertised 3-5 day standard delivery time. It took three days after the order to an email saying it was being shipped, but the courier’s tracking showed the order to still be with Nestlé until another two days later. Nestlé, on the other hand, were by then showing the order to be complete as if delivery of it does not matter! Nestlé’s chosen courier is Yodel and with non of its alternatives to home delivery. Yodel eventually messaged that it was out for delivery and would arrive in a two-hour time slot between 19.00 and 21.00 on a Saturday evening! It didn’t, even though the delivery van tracking app showed it to be visiting streets in the immediate area up to and beyond 23.00 that evening. Then on Sunday a new time slot of 13.39 to 15.39 for delivery was given then changed to 14.39 to 16.39. It eventually arrived at 16.42. So 7 days for this simple order to arrive. I feel Nestlé direct are unlikely to achieve repeat orders where there is much greater efficiency in the supply chain elsewhere.

No parcel and no service

When I started my review, the page suggested, “What went wrong this time?” Do they know how bad this company is?

I have ordered coffee pods many times, and all of the orders have been a nightmare. Even a week after ordering it, the latest order is still not here. The courier seems to damage or leave the parcel in plain sight, and someone steals it. It is never a straightforward delivery process. Dolce Gusto could use a better courier, but they seem happy to hide behind the worst courier in Yodel and blame everything on them.

I won't be using them again.

WHY do you ban or discontinue the BEST pod blends from sale in UK supermarkets?

I am a huge long term fan of my Dolce Gusto coffee machine (in fact I have two!) but I am getting massively frustrated by the narrow, very bland selection of Gusto pod blends available in UK supermarkets.
Why is this?
The best pod blend ever IMO was the "New York Morning" but it is now banned from sale in the UK. Other lovely blends like "Miami Morning" & "Milano" are not available in the UK at all. Why?
It seems to me, when I go to the supermarket today, unless I want the bland tasting "Americano" or super sweet "Macchiato Latte" (you banned the nicer skinny version!) or the sickly "Café Au Lait" I am stuffed & left wanting for the really best pod blends! I can buy "Nescafe Gold" pods, but why put this in pods when I can buy a jar of it much cheaper?
Dolce Gusto pod blend marketing in the UK appears to be done by someone who actually hates coffee.
These silly marketing policies forces fans like me & other consumers to buy the best but banned in the UK blends at grossly inflated prices online (I am enjoying a New York blend as we speak) which is unsustainable & appears to be discriminatory against British coffee lovers. It is an absolute myth that Americans have a more disenable coffee palette, yet USA consumers have access to a huge range of Gusto pod blends that the UK is not.
PLEASE rethink these policies!

Cafe au lait decaff is a great coffee

Cafe au lait decaff is a great coffee. I add just a touch of real milk to a large mug then add the pod to it. It is the perfect strength for me. I buy all my pods online. Quick service, free post and I look out for when the offers are on. Cant beat it.

Now on my 3rd machine! The first two just stopped pumping water through, despite me regularly descaling it...and now this 3rd one isn't pumping properly. I cant keep going through the whole process of returning them. Very disappointing.

I bought the Piccolo XS. The picture of the machine showed a latte being made but he was particularly impossible to put a regular sized latte glass under the head.

I love my machine and the coffee and I order regularly. However, they send you vouchers for discounts eg10%/15.% off your order which sounds great BUT you have to buy a certain size box only to get the discount which makes it no cheaper than buying the standard large boxes. So they don’t offer loyal customers anything, they just make is sound like they do!!
