Donkey bikes are very convenient, good value, and were excellent for getting around the Hague during a week long trip. Used the basic bikes, which were consistent in quality, and quite reasonable con... See more

Scammers. I rented a bike and there was no way to end the ride and they charged me 300 dkk and would not refund

Rented two bikes for our two guests and proceeded to Kinderdijk. We had gone for less than a km when we realized the gears were constantly slipping on one. Too inconvenient to turn back and drop it off for a different bike. Actually there had been no other bike at that point. Maybe further in towards our destination but I didn’t consider it at the time.
I misunderstood the pricing! Was shocked when I discovered I owed the balance of 50 euros plus another 15 euros before we could unlock the two bikes at Kinderdijk in order to bike home. Don’t make the same mistake! 25 euros each! for 5 hours on a defect bike. Not even an electric.

Wouldn’t recommend to do it in Amsterdam. Works very well in Copenhagen though. In Amsterdam there are simply not enough places to drop off your bike and any other way (bus, tram, underground (metro) is simply faster, easier and cheaper. Making complaints to get a refund is simply to much work. Don’t want to take the effort. But again I dont recommend it. Getting a “OV” bike is cheaper and you get to keep it the entire day for a cheaper price.

They removed the subscriptions to introduce more nickel and diming logistic stress, now u will probably lose more money than before with old 12hr subscriptions, time to dump company

Very convenient and affordable bike sharing in Copenhagen I really liked that I could rent multiple bikes on with one phone and the day passes are a relaxed solution

They keep giving me plus charges because the GPS locations of the bikes are incorrect. I always place it next to our office which i did now as well, but the GPS showed it standing on a train track. Dora the AI bot cut off the conversation telling it is my fault since i got a warning in the app before placing the bike at the office. What am i going to do then? There is no other place i can place the bike here. Happened multiple times now last weeks, so i paid extra for nothing. Also, tried finding a bike this morning and 2 were not at the location while it showed they were. Had to walk 15 minutes which made me be late at work.
Edit: its not my GPS which isnt working. It is also incorrect for bikes other people left there.

The app is a pain to use. It would not let my wife return her bike while the pass was active due to a glitch with the app thinking her bike was 1.6 km away. Finally got it resolved.
For me, the app was not crediting my passes when I extended my rental. Extending rentals could be easier and more intuitive than just rolling over into pay per minute.

An unauthorized larger amount of money was booked, it was stated less in the app. I contacted support and got nowhere. I recommend no one to use this service.
