Hornchurch Branch.
We purchased our house from them last year whilst houses were selling fast. We met David at the viewing who was open & honest with us from the start, unlike many other local agents! This branch is excellent, the purchase was handled by Chelsea who ensured we remained in regular contact throughout and was always available to help. The chain nearly collapsed after exchange yet Chelsea remained professional and again, honest. We completed just before Christmas and would not look elsewhere for an estate agent in the future. Completely professional, put other agents to shame.

Don’t give you house to those one, you passing offer and they don’t pass those to the seller,

Ian was absolutely fantastic in showing us the properties around, despite being in traffic and running a bit late; Ian waiting for us and did not cancel the viewings. I really appreciated his patience and professionalism.

I would recommend Douglas Allen time and time again they are honest and do everything for you apart from the move 🤩.

Danny there Billericay branch manager was so helpful and accommodating and as this was our 1st time selling he made himself available anytime to us. We had a few quotes from different estates agents and all said we needed a energy rating certificate but Danny said we had one all ready very honest .
Natasha their senior sales progressor well what a star ✨ she was amazing there isn't enough words to say how much we appreciate her hard work to getting the house move completed we as a family thinks she's the best 👍 .

I couldn't recommend Douglas Allen at Wickford highly enough. Stuart & Jazz made the valuation and viewings so straight forward & didn't put us under any pressure to drop the price unlike other estate agents we've used in the past. Once we'd sold Natasha kept us updated with how the sale & onward purchase were progressing & did lots of chasing on our behalf to keep things moving.

Overall their service is absolutely fantastic.

The team at Douglas Allen Chingford have always been very friendly and helpful in selling my house. However Natasha was particularly helpful in following up calls to solicitors and buyer to make sure the transaction eventually went through to exchange. Although the sale took longer than expected, I am happy with the outcome.

Lucy Christopher and her team at the Basildon branch have been really great and helped us get through the difficult process of getting our late Mum's house on the market. They handled the process with sensitivity and kindness. They managed to find a buyer at a particularly difficult time in the housing market. Thank you to all those involved.

Chelsey at Basildon branch was my sales progressor and was incredible! My property purchase couldn’t have gone through without her hard work, perseverance and patience. In my case, I had an extremely tight deadline to meet and between her and my mortgage advisors with whom she closely works, I wouldn’t be where I am today in my little flat, and for that I am incredibly grateful! Chingford Mount Douglas Allen
Very poor advice and service from the branch manager. He put a buyer forward with no proof of funds and agreement in principal. The buyer was an investment buyer and had to raise funds from multiple properties. The branch manager keep on telling me that the buyer have funds ready and kept on lying to us which was not the case. Douglas Allen dragged the sale out over 7 months where the sale collapsed at the end of the day. Complete mismanagement from their part. We made it very clear in the beginning that a buyer must have proof of funds and agreement in principle but the disregarded our request. They also become a bit of a bully when we terminated the sole agency agreement in August then told us again that we need to hand in notice in September when we decided to go with a different agent. I will highly recommend not to use this branch.

Brilliant service from the Epping branch team led by Jack Spittlehouse. We sold our house through them and had various issues during the process which were continuously chased via the solicitors by Jack and the Epping team. Jack in particular provided outstanding customer service throughout the transaction. Highly recommended!!!

I was promised by Stuart Pass at the Wickford Essex branch a smooth and trouble free process in the sale of my Mothers' house and was recommended to sell via the Modern Auction process as this would be the quickest and easiest route to take as I particularly specified that I wanted as little as trouble as possible and for them to do everything and just tell me when it was sold.

Little did I know that they use a firm of Solicitors that are based in Newcastle. This is obviously ok if you live in Newcastle but not of you live in Essex.

Most of the legal work was done on line but some of the documents had to be sent to them by post and not only this, they had to be the originals.

These documents included a Lasting Power of Attorney, Passport and Doctor's letter. All these had to be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery at my own expense and in my own time which caused me a lot of unnecessary stress and worry as I did not know if I was going to get them back safely. I was not told this at the time I first instructed them as I provided everything that Stuart wanted at our first meeting and wrongly thought that that would be it and how wrong I was.

Of course as soon as Douglas Allen had received their 'Buyers Fees' they did not want to know you anymore and you are just left having to deal with the solicitors in Newcastle.

If I had known they were going to use solicitors in the other end of the country, I would never had used them and used another well known local Estate Agency that had local solicitors.

So if you are going to use Douglas Allen please make sure that you ask what solicitors they are using and even better just appoint your own as I would not want anyone else to have to go through what I went through.

Even though we haven’t found our ideal property yet Tai has been extremely helpful, calling whenever there is something new on the market. He is extremely friendly and is going above an beyond to help us find what we are looking for!

We recently had a viewing of a property in Epping. Although the property was not to our liking or requirements, the experience was very good. A young lady, I believe her name was Tahlia, was the representative that showed the property. She is a breath of fresh air, friendly, informative and well turned out, a credit to Douglas Allan Epping.

Great service from Sean and the team. He’s always available, helpful and happy to help. We used them before and we would definitely recommend Sean and his colleagues to other.

I dropped in at the East ham Branch of Douglas Allen to get advise on the possible sale and purchase of a property. The reason I dropped in at the Branch was I was very impressed by the great customer service I received 4 years ago when I purcahsed my first property. I was very fortunate enought to run into Maureen Grey and Hassan Anwar yet again and as expected they were very patient with me and we went thorugh various options how to handle a sale and purchase of a suitable property. In a very volatile property market my confidence in Dougals Allen with the help of these two great mebers of staff will not waver now that have been breifed on the possible options. I will see you both again soon.

The service has been great, Jake and the team are always very helpful and friendly. With specific requirements whilst looking for a property they have done an amazing job at showing me properties meeting those requirements and offering convenient times for viewings.

All very helpful sorted everything out for me I didn’t need to do anything worth the money
