good quality materials, really hard to use and not useful
I was super excited about getting my dreem headband. It was very expensive but I figured, hey, I'd pay a lot for a better night's sleep so I bought it.
The band itself is made from really high quality nice materials and comes in a case that is of equal quality. It actually exceeded all my expectations from a quality perspective. They could have cut a lot of corners in manufacturing but they didn't.
Then, I tried to use it. I literally had to watch every video on the website to figure out what to do to get the thing to work. I tried it for around 8 or so nights and found that it gave me my results in the morning but I actually slept much worse with this thing on my head. It is fairly comfortable wearing it standing up but once you put pressure on your head against the pillow it is not comfortable. I slept even more terribly with it than without it and all the interventions it did thrughout the night didn't seem to do anything.
Also, I tend to wake up several times during the night and then fall back to sleep but I get up and move around in between. There is probably a way to puase it but I have no clue how to do it so typically I would just take it off after the first time I woke up as it was hard enough to get back to sleep with this thing on my head so I took it off. Therefore, most of my data shows I slept 3 hours which is true only if you count the first leg of the sleep.
I also remember the last version of the app to be really complicated and non-intuitive. I put it away and didn't use it for several months.
Then, I tried it again. The new app is simpler and better but all the other issues are the same. I made it 2 or 3 nights and it's just not worth it. The only feedback I get from it is that I sleep terribly and I know that already.
If someone offered me any amount of money for it I would sell it tomorrow. That said, it is probably going to be hard to sell so I'll keep it and maybe try it again down the road. My guess is the company will go out of business eventually and I just wasted $500. Very disappointing.
I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 star only because the physical device quality is so high. That's about it.

uncomfortable and can't tell if it works.
Was really looking forward to this product.
1- The band is just not comfortable period. Though i had to adjust to it, so kept wearing it, but every morning the first thing i wanna do is take it off. Tried softer pillows and other hacks, in the end it just hurts because of pressure points. Nothing noticeable when putting it but after a night sleep you'll see.
2- Interface is ... well not a simple smooth experience. Reminds me of using windows or Sony cameras.
3- Experience is not smooth either, first update and band is stuck in update mode since the past 2 days.
4- Do i wake up better rested ? well if it is not obvious ... then it doesn't work.
5- Sound is bad, i mean really. Hell it sounds like a device from 1980's.
6- Tech support is not responding to my first email regarding the fact that band isn't charging past 50% using external charger, i have to plug it into my laptop to get a full charge. Which only last one night. Once it gets passed 60% battery left, it won't allow you to start a sleep cycle.
7-Overall, looking back at the negative points and the fact that results are not obvious ... i'd say it is a big waste of money. The concept is great but ... if it doesn't work, it s just another cheap idea.
5- i will keep on trying it because i can't resign to the fact that i just wasted such amount of money for an uncomfortable head band.
UPDATE 11/3/18 :
1- customer service did respond in the end. They have fixed the issue within the app.
2- the new app is indeed more intuitive,
3- now I am facing another issue ... I cannot convince myself to wear it for another night because of the uncomfort.

Worth the money
I have used the Dreem headband for 25 nights now and I can truly say that for me it was worth the money. My wife reports that I seem to be sleeping more soundly and I do find myself waking up less during the night. As far as the comfort factor - I have been using a CPAP headband for a few years so I am used to having something on my head while asleep at night. The Phillips SmartSleep headband is not recommended for CPAP users (according to Phillip’s website) so I was concerned that the Dreem headband would not fit properly with my CPAP headband in place. Actually there was no problem at all using the Dreem headband with my Phillips Dreamwear CPAP headband.
As an international airline pilot I have a couple of short breaks during the flight when I can get a couple of hours sleep in our crew rest bunks. I have found that the Dreem headband has helped me fall asleep faster for these short breaks. However it is almost a nesessity to use foam earplugs to diminish aircraft background noise in order to let the headband’s various “falling asleep” aids be heard. Actually the headband is working better than I expected in the airplane but do wish that the headband would give sleep information on short naps such as these. And if Dreem would supply a pair of short-lead, low-profile ear buds to plug into the headphone jack that would be a great aid in higher noise environments such as airplanes.
My ONLY complaint is the initial shipping process. The Dreem website states “48-72h delivery time for the United States and France. For Europe and Canada, allow a 1 week delivery“ however after chatting online with Dreem reps I found out that my order had not arrived yet because what the website meant to say is that it is a 48-72h delivery time ONCE UPS RECEIVES THE ITEM. A bit misleading.

More torment than a dreem
I received this product a few days ago and was excited to use it. I am a tech-savvy person with no problem dropping $500 on gadgets that can enhance my life and performance. The Dreem seemed to be a great concept that could improve my sleep, which I don't get enough of. Unfortunately, when I received the headband, the system locked up and was unable to pair it to my iphone.
There is no phone number to call, so I emailed tech support with a picture and description. That night, I played with it some more and finally got it to pair, but glitched out after a few hours of sleep. Tech support responded by sending me a link that didn't work, then later said the problem is due to an outdated firmware.
I was sent a shipping label to send back to be fixed. Basically, I paid $500 and received a new product with outdated firmware that I couldn't update myself. This product seems to be in the prototype stage and not ready for the market. Furthermore, customer service takes 24 hours to respond to email, does not seem to be fluent in English, and does not adequately answer your questions.
This is why I am returning the product, which is unfortunate, I really wanted it to work. That said, this company needs to make serious corrections or it will not last.

Really disappointed that I was unable to get this product freighted outside of NA and Europe
Really disappointed that I was unable to get the product freight forwarded to Australia. Given that the Dreem contains a lithium battery I worked with the customer service team for over a month to get them to supply me with a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) so that Fedex could forward it to Australia. The really frustrating thing is that the company has this document somewhere otherwise they wouldn’t be able to export it to all the countries in North America or Europe that it currently does. The Customer Service Team were responsive to my messages and courteous in their replies which was a positive. If you don’t live in one of the countries they ship to directly you can forget about ordering this product

Definitely slick features and detailed sleep tracking WHEN IT WORKS, but the app is very clunky and not customizable in any way and the headband is big on my head which required me to jerry-rig an insert to actually get the thing to work. The company is very responsive but didn't have a solution for the big headband problem, other than to say that at this time it isn't very adjustable beyond shrinking the elastic band which only helps in one dimension.
A breakthrough for poor sleepers
Incredibly well-made and surprisingly wearable, this has reduced the time it takes to fall asleep and improved the quality of my sleep. User support is good too. I would definite recommend Dreem.
May work
May work. I have never received any personal advise (via mail or in-app) to improve my sleeping score which remains locked at around 65 points.
Battery only lasts one night.

I can't say Dreem helps me or not
I can't say Dreem helps me or not. It is sometimes difficult to keep it the whole night, for comfort reason, although it is convenient.
Still missing an analysis of the sleep; the app gives a number of really interesting details but I would expect advices on how to make the sleep better (e.g. why do I deep sleep so little or at such a time, etc.).
I keep it by me and use it sometimes.

The Dreem headband promotes deeper sleep and can help falling asleep faster. But one needs to get used to sleeping with the band.
A very good product
A very good product. Efficient and well engineered.
Headband works well
Headband works well. The software link is what makes this shine; tracking history, learning about the various sleep types and seeing them highlighted in turn on the semi-circular chart showing each day in turn.
I'm able to read the results on my Android as well as the IPad.
So interesting, helpful, and pushes me to get more sleep.
Comments about DREEM
If you ask my opinion about the first version of DREEM, I will give 4 stars.
It is quite easy to manage.
As far as DREEM 2+ is concerned I find it much more difficult to cope with : the sound is not very clear ; the program is more complicated : I have some difficulty to control it. Moreover , to day, I cannot recharge my headband ; I do not understand why and I don't know what to do !!!
I don't feel comfortable with Dreem 2+ and I feel sorry about this.

Great inovation, but some amelioration to make
Great inovation, but some point to evolve as the confort and the way to use the personnal data to performe the experience an the use of the apps. Hope Dreem will be continuing to have a great evolution 😙
I have bad before sleeping habits
I have bad before sleeping habits: too much TV watching! But I don't want to change anything. Therefore it takes me more time to master efficiently Dreem for my own usage.
As it is I appreciate it very much. I would appreciate a stronger longer duration of the battery charge in order to re operate the system in case I wake up early during the night.
Thank you
