The whole experience was super seamless and easy, the staff in the shop were very friendly and helpful and the dress I wore made me feel like a million dollars! I got so many nice comments at the event I went to and I would definitely use DFAN again!

I have used dress for a night before and I knew my wedding dress wasn’t going to be white, the girls were happy to answer every question I had prior to the big day. It was so important for me to feel incredibly beautiful and sexy on my wedding day and I did!

My granddaughter rented her Year 12 formal dress …ALBINA Dyla Embellished Leaf Dress XS. The ordering and up receipt of the dress was great service. The dress on their website has a low to waistline back. We received the dress a day early and all I can say is thank goodness - the tag said quality checked by C-+-+ who must have done it with her eyes closed as there were rows and rows of broken and missing beading, inches of loose beading, beading secured by way of safety pin, flower petals on the bodies crushed and some missing and to our surprise it has a full corset type lace up back - Not at all what she wanted. The very first loop on the lace up was broken which meant the back was lop sided from the start. The bike shorts to go under would have fitted a 14-16 size they just fell off her. Thank goodness the dress came on the Tuesday for formal on Friday. I called and the attendant was most apologetic about the condition of the XS dress and advised there was only a small in this design available- as it was to late to look for anything else and all accessories, hair etc where purchases for this dress and as there was very little difference in sizing in the bodice we took the option of getting small dress. There was no explanation or response regarding the back of the actual dress to web site - funnily on Ali Express there is a copy of the dress and guess what it has the corset back. The dress arrived at 5.15pm on Friday and she was to walk out the door by 5.30. The small dress was in a much better condition but the hook and eye at the back waist was broken so we had to quickly make adjustment with a safety pin. Thankfully she was able to look stunning in the small dress. I returned the XS dress back with around 100 stick it notes where damage is ….. due to beading the dress was quite heavy and given the very small difference between the two sizes the small size weights 1.6kg more than the XS due to all the missing beads. Will not be using Dress for the Night again.

I have encountered 3 bad experiences from 3 different friends with this company. Firstly, one friend received an email less then a week before the event that the dress she had booked was no longer available due to theft, although this is not the companies fault, they did not offer compensation besides a simple refund of money which was simply not adequate as the friend was not able to find the dress anywhere else. Another friend went to pick up her dress from the store in person, the morning of the event as there were no other times to come in to collect it, and as she arrived she was told that the dress had a noticeable stain on the front, not once was she told prior to arrival that this had occurred. They intentionally did not tell her which left no other solutions, meaning she had to go through their company no matter what and were going to make her pay original price for a damaged dress, they did not offer a refund, a substitute or a discount. Finally, the last friend went in store to try dresses on, she said that they were extremely rude and made her feel horrible about her appearance, they did not help her or talk/suggest items to her and were simply no help. Not a good company.

I was in store organising dresses and at the same time an email came through advertising 20% off. No one informed and no one honoured... won't be back..

I went today. the service was good, they helped out but at the end I left a bit disappointed with the dishonesty with one of the staffs Roxy. I asked for the prices of the dress. She gave me a different price, ignoring the coloured stickers. trying to make us pay more than it was actually worth. TWICE. Because we were speaking a different language. Even tho we are Australian. to us it was like she was taking the advantage. it was resolved. but make sure if going, to double check the prices, so you don’t pay more than it’s actually worth.

I have been a customer of Dress For A Night for many years now and my experiences have always been a perfect 10. They have a huge selection of dresses, and the staff are always friendly and great at helping me find the perfect dress. 10/10

I’ve rented a number of dresses from here for different occasions, and every time I go in to try them on, the girls are always so nice and helpful. The best part is they’re honest about what suits you and what doesn’t, which I really appreciate. They’ve also got an awesome variety of styles and colours to pick from!

Terrible. I wish I read the reviews before hiring. Hired a dress and back up dress for my best friend’s white themed wedding. One was visibly damaged on the front and the other was stained and appeared to not be cleaned. Neither were wearable. I immediately sent them back and they arrived back at their store the morning of the day my hire term began. I’ve sent about 4 emails. They refuse to email back. I have asked for a refund. Spent over $200 including postage to hire for 4 days. They appear to have only refunded me $42.18. I have no idea how they arrived at that being a fair figure.
You would assume being hire dresses that they wouldn’t be perfect. But to be stained and visibly damaged and still being hired out is not ok.

If I could give this company a minus star review I would. The dress didn’t fit my daughter properly so I asked to return it straight away (Tuesday) for a refund. They would not give me a refund despite the dress being unworn and in our possession for an hour. The dress also turned up looking trashed and dirty. The worst online hire experience I have had.

I completely agree with that if there were a minus star rating, I would give it. It was horrible and stressful situation. My daughter's formal is on Monday, and on Saturday(today), we picked up the satin dress with visible stitching on front of the dress. I understand that it is a rental, and I am not expecting the brand new condition but it was cheating, wrong, and horrible condition. I am sure they would have noticed this damage of sewing mark by dry cleaner or the staff who managed to check the dress condition. It was only last minute that we needed to choose another dress, and shoes and all accessories were needed to urgently buy again.
To receive it in such an appalling state to be told by the staff, "if you are unhappy with the dress quality, you can bring it back," was incredibly upsetting. Additionally that staff remarked that this sort of issue is nature of hiring dress. Receiving a dress like this just two days before a significant event was absolutely shocking and stressful. There was no genuine apology, and we were left with no option but to hire a dress in condition unprepared and the one which have been worn by so many people as a display item. I hope no one else has to have this horrible situation again.

Worst experience and service . Definitely would not recommend if you are receiving dress via mail . Did not dispatch dress in time for it to arrive . Very stressful situation, really don’t want this to happen to others. Company blamed Aust post 😞🙏

I have rented from dress for a night multiple times. The customer service is always amazing. The stuff always make me feel welcomed. Dresses are always in 100% condition. I recommend this to all my friend and family

The most amazing selection of dresses! I absolutely loved the Bec and bridge della vita and it was perfect for my boyfriends birthday dinner, I received so many compliments! The process is so easy and they have a dress for every occasion, will definitely be renting again!

Amazing dress and the process was made so easy! The dress came a few days earlier than expected and was so clean and smelt amazing. The returns process was made so easy with the instructions in the bag. Definitely recommend to everyone :)

I would highly recommend DFAN!! Customer service was fantastic and dress shopped so quickly to Melbourne! I have also used their TryOn service which is amazing too. So nice to try the dress at home with your own shoes etc and sending back is so quick and easy! Really great service. Thank you
