It took about 1hr to get the car from the original booking time although I was the only customer on site.
There were numerous computer issues, couldn’t pay directly by card as the terminal was not responding, so this was done through links to my email which is not what I expected. I had to show my phones screen to prove the payments were done. Overall felt very disorganised compared to the likes of Entreprise Alamo etc that you can find closer to the airport.
When I returned the car (9am on a Saturday) there was no one there although the branch is said to be open.

Efficient, friendly. Flexible. I arrived early and they managed to get me a car quickly and without fuss.
The check in process was quick and efficient with good customer service focus.

Horrible Experience
I had to make a last minute trip to Scotland from the US for a family emergency. I booked a car through a third party and didn't pay much attention to who the vendor was.
I was in a rush to get to the hospital after landing, but the Drivalia experience was a nightmare. They were quite a walk from the airport and located in a little hut. Their systems kept going down. The person in front of me couldn't pay using his credit card for no discernable reason (after ~20 minutes it magically worked). The other couple in front of me didn't have the excessive funds (something like £3000) required for "insurance" available on the husband's credit card and they wouldn't take the wife's card. I was there for close to an hour without moving even though there were only 2 other people there.
Eventually, I just left and contacted the third party to cancel my booking. I walked into Budget at the airport and had a car within 5 minutes. The hold on my card for damage? £100.
After much reading about Drivalia it seems like their entire MO is to charge a huge insurance deposit and then make up damages to retain as much of the deposit as possible. I am so glad I walked out. Lesson learned.

When booking a Drivalia hire vehicle, whether directly with us or through a third-party provider, all hirers are informed at the time of booking and again on the booking confirmation voucher about our excess liability policy.
In the event of damage to the vehicle during the hire period, hirers are required to cover their excess liability by either: Providing a deposit on a credit card in the name of the hirer, or Purchasing an excess waiver package from Drivalia.

Went with a friend to Aberdeen, we were looking for a rental car to hire, Drivalia UK Aberdeen branch came across in recommendations. Upon on arrival the branch manager Mr Usman greeted as with a great warmth. He offered us the best deal and car, which was much needed. As we price matched with the rest car rentals and Drivilia Aberdeen branch was most affordable. We were quite happy with the customer services and thanks to the branch manager for giving us the deal, which was a actual bargain. Definitely will recommend you guys.

We used Drivilia Aberdeen Airport again for 10 days in April this year. Was our 3rd time in 3 years using this location and we have always had a very efficient, friendly, no hassle experience. Can certainly recommend them. We will be using them again very soon on another family visit to Bonnie Scotland !

Stay away from Drivilia.
When we got the branch in Aberdeen the car was not present and there was no replacement. We ended up waiting 2 hours for the car. No compensation was offered. I had ask quite frankly if not a compensation was in order. The branch employee offered a full tank of gas as compensation. However when we finally got the car it had an empty tank, so no compensation at all. When I complained I was offered a 30% discount on my next rental at Drivilia. All good I thought. But when I asked the main branch of Drivilia to confirm the discount they declined to confirm it. So now I am left with an empty promise from a random emplyee at Aberdeen Airport.
And if this terrible story does not end here. I have just recieved a payment request for 60£ because I took the car to Islay. Deep in the rental terms under "Border Crossing" there was line that said border crossings are likened to taking a ferry to an island with the car! Bullshit, I say. Classic con act. I will never rent a car with Drivilia again.
