RUN AWAY
RUN AWAY. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. The conned me into paying way more for insurance than I should have paid; they sweetened the deal by giving me a discount that I later was charged for; then I was scammed at a parking lot - I have proof that dozens of people were scammed at this lot - and they ignored this and insist that I pay this fine I shouldn't have to pay. And the email they sent asking me to pay the fine just says 'UK PCN' - only when you look closely at the email address do you see it's from Drivalia and not the UK government. This company has given me such headaches, I have had to call and email dozens of times just to contest their stupid charges. They are predatory. They don't care about you, they only care about money. They are con artists. They should be ashamed of themselves. Everyone should just stop paying this company so they can disintegrate and rot in hell.
NOTE: they’re telling me below to log in and contact them through the portal but I already did and they said they couldn’t help me. And they already charged me for the ticket. They also charged me a $70+ "admin" fee a full month after the initial ripoff happened, with no warning.

The team at Edinburgh airport were super professional and helpful, which allowed for a smooth pick up of the vehicle. Stuart was a stand out, would recommend car hire from here.

Good customer service but dangerous vehicles.
Robbie at the Edinburgh branch was fantastic. He was friendly, professional, and worked incredibly hard to get everyone served and on their way as quickly as possible. The customer service was genuinely excellent and is the main reason I’m not leaving a lower rating.
Unfortunately, the condition of the car itself was very disappointing. It was dirty and covered in mud when we collected it, with multiple scratches and dents across the bodywork. On the second day of our three-day rental, after driving only around 50 miles, the low engine oil warning light came on despite being told at collection that the oil level had been checked and was full.
When we returned the car on Sunday, we also noticed that three of the four tyres were extremely worn and close to being bald, which was very concerning. This should have been picked up during routine safety checks before the vehicle was rented out.
While the staff made the rental process smooth and pleasant, the condition of the vehicle fell well below what I’d expect from a rental company. Drivalia really needs to improve its vehicle maintenance and preparation before handing cars over to customers.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Service
Highly Recommended
This was my second time renting with Drivalia, and once again the experience was excellent from the get go.
A special mention to Marshall, who helped me with the car pick-up. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly, making the whole process smooth and stress-free.
The car pick-up and drop-off process was quick and easy, and the complimentary airport shuttle service is a great convenience. (Just note that larger checked luggage will incur an additional charge.)
The cars I’ve received on both rentals have been in top-notch condition, clean, reliable, and exactly what I needed. What really stands out, though, is the people – everyone I’ve dealt with at Drivalia has been helpful, welcoming, and efficient.
After two consistently positive experiences, I wouldn’t hesitate to rent from Drivalia again and would happily recommend them to others. Thanks again to Marshall and the team for another great rental experience! 🚗👏

I would not choose this car rental company again.
I rented a car from this company in July, and it was a huge disappointment.
The first issue arose with the security deposit. The information that **only genuine credit cards** are accepted for the deposit – and that debit cards (including Neon cards) are not accepted – was only provided after the booking in the rental documents and was easy to overlook, as the company states that Mastercard, Visa, and American Express are accepted. As a result, I was unable to pay the deposit and was forced to purchase additional insurance at the counter. Naturally, this was much more expensive than if I had purchased it through the booking platform beforehand. Ironically, the very same card was accepted without any problem for the insurance payment.
When I collected the car, the employee was understanding. Because of the problems I had experienced, he explicitly told me that I could return the vehicle with an empty fuel tank as a goodwill gesture. I thought this was a fair solution and naturally assumed that this information would be recorded internally.
Unfortunately, the return process was anything but customer-friendly. A colleague and I had to wait quite a while because the employee responsible for both pick-ups and returns was busy assisting other customers and appeared to be working alone. When the airport shuttle arrived, we were told to run immediately so we wouldn't miss it, as the next shuttle would not return for about 30 minutes. As a result, we were not present when the vehicle inspection was carried out.
Two days later, I received an invoice for refuelling the car, including a substantial service fee. I contacted customer service immediately by email and then tried to reach someone by phone. I was promised a callback, which never happened. I then contacted the Edinburgh office directly, where I was told to submit my complaint through the online claims form. After more than a week, I received a response stating that no refund could be issued because there was no record that I had been authorised to return the vehicle with an empty tank – despite the fact that I even provided the name of the employee who had explicitly given me that permission.
What started as a car rental costing around CHF 92 eventually ended up costing me around CHF 540 – not just double the original amount, but almost six times as much. Equally disappointing was the lack of internal communication and the way my complaint was handled. A customer-focused company would have checked with the employee involved to clarify what had actually been agreed.
**Overall, I would not choose this company again.** For only a slightly higher rental price, there are far more customer-friendly alternatives, including companies located closer to the airport. After this experience, I rented from another provider, where the entire process was straightforward, transparent, and free of credit card issues or unexpected extra charges.

Highlands Trip
We rented a car to take a trip to the Highlands. I rented cars before, but I never had such a nice service as this one. The empathy and the excellence that the team has shown was really outstanding. If you get Marshall to attend you, you will be in great hands 🙌🏻

Not enough people at the desks
There never seem to be enough people at the desk and takes a long time to get through the process. The staff are good otherwise but not enough (Edinburgh AirPort).
