Edinburgh airport collection was a nightmare. It took over an hour and the staff on the phone were deeply unhelpful and rude. Acted like you as a customer were an inconvenience to their day. Car took ages to be prepared and lacked basics like screen wash. Honestly, saving a few pounds isn't worth it, pay more and go with a more reputable company. This wasn't worth it.

My flight was delayed by 1hr and they said that I lost my prepaid rental (18 days), because I was over an hour late to pick it up.
EDIT: Despite the reply below, I did notify the branch as soon as I realised my flight was delayed and they said I would lose the booking (no 2 hour grace period as they say) and I had to make a brand new booking and pay 100% again with no refund from the first booking.

The price seems to be the lowest, but in the end it’s twice as much as the big chains.
They force you to take out insurance that doesn’t cover anything (even though you already have insurance) under the pretext that you have a debit card, and they normally only accept credit cards. If you refuse, the conversation turns aggressive and they threaten not to give you a car.
In addition to the price you pay at booking:
-£35/day for mandatory “bullshit” insurance
-£66 in administrative fees
-£0.25 per extra mile
-£130 for a damaged tire, even though I’m certain I didn’t hit a curb
In the end, the price is outrageous, the staff is unpleasant and almost aggressive, and the agency is far from the airport
In short, stay away from Drivalia—it’s a scam!!!

I am currently being passed between Drivalia and Booking.com, with each party blaming the other for what happened at the rental desk.
At Edinburgh Airport, Drivalia staff informed me that my Booking.com Full Protection insurance was not valid and persuaded me to purchase additional insurance for £140. I have since confirmed directly with Booking.com that my original cover was valid and that I was misinformed at the desk.
This has now turned into a situation where neither company is taking responsibility. Booking.com has confirmed the cover was valid, while Drivalia has failed to provide a proper response despite promising contact from the branch manager.
As a customer, I should not be caught in the middle of two companies shifting blame. The information I was given at the point of sale was incorrect, and I made a financial decision based on that misinformation.
I am not simply looking for a refund—I am asking for accountability. At minimum, I expect a clear explanation, acknowledgment of the error, and a formal apology.
Until this is properly addressed, I would strongly advise others to be cautious and independently verify any claims made at the rental desk before agreeing to additional charges.
I used their portal several times and the manager brushed it under the carpet.

The car is fine . The staff are helpful . The problem is that the supposed every 20 minute shuttle is closer to an hour . I sat waiting for a bus to the airport from the collection point which is off the airport for ages. The staff kept ringing and ringing and ringing the shuttle driver
