Good bulbs and price, prompt delivery

Good quality bulbs, safely packaged and arrived at the right time for planting.

I placed an order for several items. The 500 tulip bulbs arrived when expected and were a really good size. The next part of the order was for hydrangeas and ferns to be delivered from early September. Having not received the order l asked in October when it would be delivered and after prompt customer service received the items one week later.
All the items were in good condition apart from one fern which looked dead and had hardly any roots, so went straight into the compost bin. Overall a good company but as this is the second time that l have had a substandard item (see previous reviews) l am hoping that these are isolated incidents.
I contacted customer services last year about a really small Canna tuber and was assured that it would be fine (it wasn’t it did not grow) so have not contacted them this time.

Got all my bulbs on time

I ordered a Clematis Koreana Amber. It arrived, healthy looking and I've planted it out and it's thriving. Hopefully, as it is planted near a fence it won't drown in all the rain we're having at the moment! I know it's a fairly vigorous clematis but easy to control, so hopefully, next spring it will come into its own.

Ordered some 9cm perennials and a quantity of bulbs. They were delivered separately. All the plants were excellent and great value for money. Problem came with the delivery of the bulbs. They eventually arrived after contacting JP Customer Services who were excellent. No communication at all from courier. Not sure why JP Retail and Wholesale use the two lowest rated couriers in the UK. I suspect they are cheap but for me it’s a false economy since it detracts from the customer experience. When you are transporting live plants you need a reliable courier. If JP sort that out then for me they would be 5*.

First time ever they plants were delivered on time. Very impressed for the last order.

Not Happy with this company, J Parkers wholesale. ordered circa £550 of bulbs 32 days ago, rang them 1st week acknowledging it was for a landscape project and they said everything was in stock, a week later they said they where behind because of increased demand but I would receive them within 5 days that was 8 days ago, they have today told me that they could not guarantee a delivery date and it could be another 8-19 days but there delivery promise of 28 days expires tomorrow and my landscape project is now on hold meaning I'm loosing money because of them, they were very rude, Arrogant pumped with importance that they have bigger clients and insistent that it was not their fault, And that they had to await deliveries being held by growers, blaming them, and yet stocks were at warehouse for last 3 weeks.

Edit 16th October, still no bulbs, no communication from J Parker Wholesale, rang today and was told all wholesale department where unavailable, they would call me back ....they didn't

Edit 18th October still no bulbs and still no reply from J parker wholesale with any update.

Edit 20/10/25 Had an automated email from J Parkers wholesale, whom have informed me that it will now take up to 5 days to pack my order and 5-6 days for delivery, orders where in stock when purchased and 7 days later, Website states delivery up to 28 days its now been 34 days and they still have not even picked the order very very unhappy with this company, They have not made any contact with me to explain the delay.

Hydrangea plants arrived healthy with good root system. Very well packed, all 5 of them had been well packaged.

24 Aubrichia plants ordered and delivered. All plants virtually dead. One plant has a small amount of green on it. £38 wasted on an order fit for the bin really. Extremely dissapointed.

I recently bought an Acer tree and feel completely misled by the product description. The website showed a mature tree with lots of branches and leaves, but what I actually received was a small pot with two bare twigs — nothing close to a mature tree and nothing like the picture.

When I contacted customer care, I was told this was “correct” and that the tree had been inspected, claiming it’s just the time of year when Acers lose their leaves. Maybe so, but none of my other 15 trees have dropped theirs. I was told I could return it, but only if I covered the cost, which is unacceptable given how misleading the advert was.

This was not what I paid for. The product image is deceptive, and the response from customer service only added to the frustration. Buyers beware.
