The receptionist was just rude and abrupt, she clearly doesn't enjoy her job and that's okay, find another one. Voiceover, changes from male, to female to a different male voice - what's that about!... See more

I had a very friendly examiner called Karl who was patient and calm and put me at ease throughout my test!
I really appreciate your time Karl, thankyou!
Absolutely corrupt and pathetic
Absolutely corrupt and pathetic, I’m surprised they’re not being investigated for corruption. Try getting a test date through the gov website, no dates available but you pay the workers at dvsa £250 for a test date, even when you get a test date the examiners then go on to fail you deliberately to which your back to square one, come up with another £250 for another test date, and it just becomes a repetitive cycle. It’ll probably cost you a minimum of £2k before you actually get your licence.
Incompetent workers
After importing a vehicle I was told that it's wasn't the same as UK spec. Ie Euro 6, Yes it was 100g co2 and under, confirmed by the manufacturer. After paying 5 figures to have this done at the recommended site. I was then told it needed a crash test. This vehicle has a n cap 5 star. I only did this as this is what The Worker had coerced me into by providing me with a list of contractors. All of which was an eye-watering amount and none of which I could afford. It has took me 18 months to save up and having to sell our own family vehicle. I Have provided all the date showing comparable date from the import country. This has left me thinking to leave the UK market all together. Left me in doubt all together. They are nothing much more than criminals stealing from the UK customers under white coller. I have complaint and never heard any thing back at all.
Use comparable Date.
Leeds horsforth examiner
Hi I’m an instructor in Leeds and for the first time in a long time I have come across the most calm, respectful and understanding examiner by the name of Paul. With his blue umbrella when it was raining he kindly asked me as an instructor to sit in the back seat so I’m out of the rain. The most important part for us instructors is that our students are not over anxious and nervous on their test. He made my student feel calm and relaxed he spoke to her with respect. She successfully passed 🙏🏽 and he gave credit to me too which gave me so much confidence. Thank you Paul for the feedback and most importantly respecting and speaking with a lovely manner to my student and me.
How?
How is anyone meant to book a practical test on your website if all test locations continuously return "No tests found on any date". The only way is to use one of the many scam price gouging web sites which you allow to operate, who charge a premium to give you any chance of getting a date.
Collins, excellent examiner 💯
Collins, the test examiner at the Widnes driving test centre, was incredibly warm and comforting. I was very anxious and running late due to childcare and school runs, so I rushed into the waiting room feeling scared. However, when Collins arrived, he reassured me and was friendly throughout the entire driving test. His engaging manner was both relaxing and comforting, and his calmness really helped me settle down. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would. He is an excellent examiner.
Canceled test 15 mins before test
Canceled test
This is a Government body ! They canceled my son’s test while he was sat outside the test station in Tottenham . They then make it so difficult to get compensation for you £200 we had to pay the instructor for use of his car and the same for the next week when they reappointed the test for . Unfortunately he failed the week later so we tried to book another test which was impossible ! They are being hacked and have no test dates they are stolen as soon as they become an available. The only way we could get a test was on the black market for £250 what should cost £65 . Typical of the way these departments is run by amateurs and corrupt people !
🛑 STOP IT AND APPEAL FOR JUSTICE ,DVSA…
🛑 STOP IT AND APPEAL FOR JUSTICE ,DVSA IS A BIG SCAM.
I would like to inform you All new and experienced people b careful with DVSA THEORY TEST,they wantedly fail you to have again take money and test again.
Cancelled driving test on the day
In March my son had his test cancelled on the day, it’s now nearly June and he hasn’t received out of pocket expenses from the OPEC team. They are willing to take quick enough and cancel his test, but not willing to pay back money owed, unable to speak to the team and emails take days for a reply. A very slow, clunky service with no customer support.
Steve Northampton - I passed my driving test and I want to…
Steve from Northampton
I have just passed my driving test and I want to say massive thanks not only to my driving instructor Freddo @Freddo school of motoring but also to the examiner whose name was Steve from Northampton . His personality and calmness was exemplary. Once I started I did not even remember I was doing an exam. I don’t know how he did it but he manage to
Reassure me In such a way where I no longer felt nervous . The way he gave the directions etc But this is what you called experience . Thanks Steve I hope you get the chance to train other examiners one day if you already not doing so
Ross and Danielle
I want to thank examiners Ross and Danielle for being great on my ADI part 3 exam taken in Baillieston. I was very nervous throughout the exam but at the end we had a constructive chat and enjoyed the time spent for feedback. Because of this I will be less stressed on my future standards check and score higher.
Excessive delays, short notice cancellations
Had a test cancelled less than 2 weeks beforehand, and was given a new test well over a month away. This is apparently due to issues caused by COVID, despite lockdown ending almost 3 years ago. Call centre staff are unable to help, and there is no compensation whatsoever for the additional lesson time between the old and new test date.

Big shout out to Stevie for passing me on my mod 1motorcycle test at Musselburgh test centre couple months back top guy and top examiner definitely recommend going there with high five Ryder school
Booking test in Gillingham centre is a…
Booking test in Gillingham centre is a joke! And examinators will keep failing without explanation properly! I take my 3x and do exactly what the examiner asked but he failed me again! Booking for another test it takes hours to get a space and I’m still no luck after trying . DVSA makes people pay more together with time consuming and anxiety disorders!
User hostile.
Their website seems to be set up to be as hostile as possible. It took me a good hour to find a combination of browser and device that would let me log in.
They appear to be paranoid about being hacked, to the extent that it's almost unusable. I can and have logged into bank websites from dodgy parts of the world, but oh no, the DVSA won't let you access it from outside the UK. (My daughter, whose test it is, is currently away.)
And when I did get in there were no slots at my local centre, none. So I suspected their website was faulty, and phoned. Bad idea, 25 minute wait hanging on.
If it weren't a monopoly I'd never use them again.
KINGSWINFORD/PENSNETT TRADING ESTATE DRIVING CENTRE
KINGSWINFORD/PENSNETT TRADING ESTATE DRIVING CENTRE
Told unobservant after describing the 2 cars I was told by tester I did not see. Not sure how I am able to accurately describe two vehicles I apparently never saw but ok. I think your own observational skills need checking, not my own. Tester believes I should go above 45mph on poor road conditions whilst giving poor directions (less than 2 car spaces to take the next right) This is the opposite of what the highway code says to do in poor road conditions and on an unfamiliar road. I came from the test not knowing why I failed (still do not understand why) and now under the belief that to pass the SAFETY test I need to drive unsafely when in poor conditions. Poor tester, poor centre. After 19yrs of testing the tester seems to have become very lackadaisical when in the passenger seat. As a person with a FULL motorcycle license of nearly 3 decades (10yrs longer than the tester has had a licence), my observation is on point hence still being alive and not having any accidents.
Tester questioned my vision because I could not make out a very dirty number plate with a smudged letter, Only had my eyes tested by an optician In January who was shocked by how well my eye sight was, especially with long distances. Yes, you could read it Mr tester because you know the vehicle and who it belongs to and see it daily. If I knew the car also I wouldn't need to be able to make out the letters either, I don't need to look at my own reg number to tell you it, same as you didn't look at that number on the car to tell me it, you probably didn't even see how filthy it was. Ask me to view a clean, legal number plate and I won't have any issue as I proved later with a car further away than the one you originally asked for. This place will fail you because their testers don't watch what the driver is actually doing and then claim you are the unobservant one
