Having never purchased a new build property before, we were wary and unsure of the process, having heard stories about other local developers. However, from start to finish, and afterwards, we’ve been looked after by the whole team. During the part-exchange and conveyancing process, we were kept up to date by the Sales Team, and following completion, any minor issues immediately dealt with by the Site Manager and Assistant Site Managers. Every representative we dealt with has been so friendly and supportive, and has made buying a home so much less stressful. Thanks everyone!

I have already raised concerns previously, but unfortunately the situation has not improved — if anything, it has become more frustrating.
The aftercare service has been extremely poor. Communication is almost non-existent, with emails going unanswered and phone lines practically unreachable. I have spent up to an hour waiting in the queue on multiple occasions without getting through, which is simply not acceptable.
Several issues reported months ago are still unresolved. These include extremely low water pressure upstairs, an excessively noisy kitchen extractor fan, and an uneven garden surface that has been inspected more than once with no action taken.
Even more concerning, new problems continue to arise. The stairs carpet is already coming apart again despite recent work, and a serious issue has developed with the fence separating from the wall, leaving a large gap and preventing the garden door from locking properly. This raises a clear security concern and requires urgent attention, yet getting any response has been very difficult.
Overall, the lack of accountability, delays in resolving issues, and ongoing poor communication have made this a very disappointing experience. I would strongly advise others to carefully consider the aftercare service before committing.

From our very first enquiry at the beginning of the year, every interaction has been fast, professional, friendly, and incredibly well handled. Across multiple developments and teams (including colleagues from Barratt Homes), we consistently felt welcomed, listened to, and genuinely valued as customers.
One sales advisor in particular (I believe her name was Bev) stood out early on. She took a great deal of time to understand our needs, never rushed us, and made the whole experience feel personal rather than transactional. Her warmth and professionalism made a lasting impression and played a significant role in our decision-making.
From the point of reservation onwards, the service only got better. Karen was fantastic throughout — always keeping us updated, helping us navigate options and upgrades, and ensuring everything stayed on track. Communication was excellent, including from the wider team supporting behind the scenes, and everything worked seamlessly alongside our solicitors.
What really amazed us was the speed and efficiency of the entire process. From reservation to moving in took around 10 weeks, which is incredible — and at no point did it feel rushed or compromised.
We’d also like to give a special mention to Clinton, the Site Manager, and his team. Clinton has been exceptional. He took the time to walk us through everything, has checked in regularly, and has been genuinely invested in making sure we’re happy in our new home. His attention to detail, proactive communication, and willingness to go the extra mile really set him apart. It’s clear he takes great pride in his work and in delivering a high standard for homeowners.
Overall, this has been one of the smoothest and most positive experiences we’ve had. The entire team has gone above and beyond, and we’re incredibly grateful. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend David Wilson Homes to anyone considering a new build.

From the moment we reserved our house, to completion and beyond, the service and communication that we have received at Clockmakers has been outstanding.
Sian has kept us in the loop and aware of next steps throughout the whole experience making it all as smooth as possible. All questions were answered promptly and with her friendly, kind manner. She was endlessly patient while we visited many times to look at the samples to help us make decisions on the decor of our home.
Kirk, Chris and the entire team have really gone above and beyond to make sure that everything was completed to a high standard and exactly as we expected. They were able to accommodate visits around our schedule as teachers, making sure we never felt rushed during the first fix and home tour. They have checked in on us regularly since our move and they really mean it when they say they will look after you.

Emily Sadler at Talbots Law also played a crucial role throughout our sale journey. She consistently went above and beyond, maintaining professionalism and efficiency despite challenges caused by slower, less communicative parties elsewhere in the chain.
Her proactive approach, clear communication, and determination helped keep things moving forward and ensured that all parties stayed aligned, ultimately leading to a successful completion.
Finally, Jim Stride the Site Manager, provided exceptional assistance throughout our journey. Friendly, approachable, and highly knowledgeable, he delivered a thorough home demonstration that gave us immediate confidence from the outset.
No question was ever too big or small, and all snagging items were addressed promptly and efficiently. What truly stood out was his continued support even after completion, with regular check-ins that speak volumes about his dedication. His attention to detail and genuine commitment have made our house move a positive, happy, and truly memorable experience over the past six months.
Although there are still some roadworks and ongoing construction in and around our street, the builders and landscapers have remained respectful and communicative, keeping us well informed throughout. This has made a real difference to our experience.

There were a few instances where we were not sure if we’d be in a position to purchase our new build house with David Wilson, to say the sales team (specifically Sian) went above and beyond their job to secure it for us would be an understatement. When we did finally confirm completion they had all hands on deck to have our house ready within two days and it was perfect when we got the keys, we found zero faults with it.
Even had a call from the site manager (Kirk) on a Sunday to check all was ok.
I am assuming every David Wilson home owner is graced with this pre/post/in-between care, Clockmakers site certainly have high standards that’s for sure, I would not hesitate to recommend them to someone else
