Rapid service

Rapid service, arrived within 2hours the guy was super friendly and knowledgeable, unblocked the toilet in no time and cleaned up afterwards- 5 star service all round! Definitely recommend

Brilliant service from Dyno

Brilliant service from Dyno - called at 9.30 - James was here by 1.30 and spent an hour finding and fixing the problem with our blocked drain
I would definitely use Dyno again if we have any similar problems.

Unacceptable service and aftercare

We reported a blockage as toilets draining slowly. The engineer that came was quite helpful and and found a blockage outdoor in a shared drain which he resolved and also a buildup of limescale in our own drain which he resolved however on returning home later that evening, There are still issues with the toilet, we reported. We called dynorod today to resolve this issue and they want us to repay to have this resolved despite the problem not being fixed. Shocking service and would not recommend.

I booked with Dyno Rod on Monday…

I booked with Dyno Rod on Monday evening and received a text promising a call back. Tuesday morning Craig called to say he’d be with us in 30 minutes, which was very surprising !! The service was fantastic – and Craig was really helpful and courteous. I highly recommend Dyno Rod.

leaking sink

They came out to fix a leaking sink, went away and the leak is worse. Ive had them previously for a toilet and they had to come back numerous times

Brett was great

Brett was great, we have an ongoing issue with our drains that he understands. He comes in gets straight on with the job and grafts until it’s finished. Super friendly, professional and hard working.

The lads were brilliant. Identified the issue quickly and dealt with it professionally and efficiently.

Both were extremely polite.

All mess was tidied up and everything put back as it was.

Called Dyno out to our Social Club on…

Called Dyno out to our Social Club on Saturday afternoon for blocked toilet drainage. Such a simple process to report and the process was explained well. I made my call to report our blocked toilets, was told the engineer would call within the hour to let me know when he would arrive. The costs were explained up front. The guy called as promised and arrived bang on time. From me calling to report it, to the guy fixing the issue and then leaving was no more than three hours. It saved us from closing down for the day. Cracking service all round.

Waited 11 hours for nothing

I booked 5 days in advance and was told a plumber would visit between 8am and 6pm. After waiting 11 hours on the day, I was finally told the plumber couldn't access Leeds city centre as his van was too big. I attempted to rebook but he could not accommodate. He sounded relieved when I cancelled!

Absolute rip off (but staff were nice)

I never write angry reviews but I am so shocked by the pricing I feel compelled to explain. I will start by saying that all staff members I interacted with were polite and helpful, including the drainage engineer who unblocked the shower drain and gave me helpful advice about where he thinks my problem of a leak is coming from. My problem is with the company itself and its pricing.

I was charged £195 which I frankly was shocked to hear for unblocking a shower drain which took less than 20 minutes. I think it is a complete rip off and totally unacceptable for a small job. I did not argue with the engineer as I assume it is not him who sets the pricing so not his problem to deal with. I am really disappointed as all I wanted was someone to explain why my shower is leaking.

Originally I booked a plumber who was just going to quote me, but after telling him that my shower tray was also filling up he said I needed a drainage engineer. So I called the dyno-rod number and was told I needed to contact the drainage team, so I called them who said I needed to call British Gas because I was a British Gas customer (which I later discovered is only relevant if you pay British Gas for the plumbing and drainage cover, not if you just use British Gas for your gas and electric. I wish this was explained to me and I would not ever have called them out. I think this misunderstanding also meant that the engineer didn’t tell me how much it was going to cost before doing the work. If I’d have known I would have politely declined his help).

Obviously I then never got through to anyone on the British Gas phone line because they are dreadful anyway, so I booked through the website. I think the British Gas website is misleading when it talks about the average call out costs for dyno-rod as roughly £150 as from what I can see on trustpilot they only charge a minimum of £190 for minor jobs. I would never have expected to be paying £195 for a job I probably could have done myself. I am happy to pay someone for their time and skill to do these jobs, but within reason. £195 is totally unreasonable. I decided on a larger company because I thought (wrongly) that I’d be safer from being ripped off for an odd job. Lesson learned!

What I would like is for someone from dyno-rod to contact me and explain exactly why I’ve been charged what I have. Frankly I’d like a good amount of money back. Would absolutely not recommend this company to private customers, avoid at all costs unless you are a millionaire.

Edit: Although the engineer was nice I will say, he put the contents of the blockage from my shower drain in my toilet. Having just had to fish it out so it won’t actually cause another blockage in my toilet, I wonder what the logic behind that was? I should have questioned it at the time but you’d think for £195 they would at least dispose of the blockage? The receipt he left said “cleaned area” which is questionable considering I’ve just had to scrub the toilet to get the remains of whatever the blockage was off the toilet bowl.

Toilet repair

Josh A came out to repair the toilet flush. He replaced the old one and was extremely helpful, polite and considerate and made sure that I was happy with everything before he left. First class customer service.

Quick response to identify problem

Called in the afternoon and someone came out the same day as we had a flood in our garage that we thought was related to a drain problem. Helpful man (not sure of his name- maybe Cory?) identified that it was actually a split copper pipe in the corner of the garage and that we would need a plumber. Helped us to isolate the pipe to stop the leak. Had to charge half the price of clearing drain, but fair enough as he had to come out.
