Even 1 star is to good for this company. I wish I could give zero stars. I come here to warn others of this shocking company and instantly get a warning here saying this company offers incentives for good reviews if you leave a bad one. please avoid them at all costs but my experience is with Belfast International Airport branch. we'll if you can call it that. its just 1 rude and completely unhelpful bloke in a dark shack on a dirty industrial estate. we drove in there even though we should have been collected by a shuttle service. I'm glad we drove there because I'd have thought I was going to get murdered being driven there by a stranger. I am so glad we went to avis as I know we would have just been ripped off by this company. After reading these reviews I have saved myself probably hundreds or thousands of pounds. I also hope they go out of business and that rat of an employee loses his job and his life falls apart. the way he delt with us was disgusting. avoid at all costs. unless you love nearly getting in to a fight and losing thousands of pounds.

Premo…code didnt work.
I got an email regarding a Premo code15.
So i book the Van and no discount came off.
Can you help.
Do not use. Rude and dangerous
Worst company I have ever had dealings with. Being left to wait for over an hour at Belfast airport before being picked up by a very angry man who insisted he was doing me a favour. He then drove away with my wife and children in the car, the door open and my leg in the car. No apologies still claiming he was doing me a favour.
Impossible to complain about, finally got a response from the manager telling me I had been given an upgrade. And that I had been careless with my children!
The car was fine but service and staff the worst and dangerous. AVOID
Ghosted and refund not given
The vehicle we paid extra for wasn't available on arrival so we were given a smaller vehicle and promised a refund of the excess paid (only upon bringing this issue to the salesman's attention - he would otherwise have said nothing about it). This was exactly 6 weeks ago, my partner has sent various emails and Facebook messages with no response and we have yet to receive the promised refund.
Booking online was nice and…
Booking online was nice and straightforward. Good deal too
Awful
Awful. As others have stated DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Arrived at airport, no one answered the phone at the office, no shuttle arrived, waited and waited. Eventually got through to be told the only car available was a Fiat 500. We are a family of 4 on holiday for 10 days. How would this work and not what we booked. The shuttle driver was also the office guy so we had to wait “until he was free to pick us up”. Had to phone back again and await a further 15 minutes for pick up. Once at the “office” (dirty back of beyond portacabin) we were shown the “only car”. Indeed a 2 door fiat 500. The explanation was that customers extended bookings online so they “couldn’t help” that our booked car was there.
To be honest I didn’t know whether to be angry or sorry for the shuttle/office/booking agent. He himself accepted this situation was not good enough. Our option was take the car or he would take us back to the airport.
Eventually the situation was resolved but it was a horribly stressful 2 hours and we were given a returned car which we took unhoovered (but sanitised)and we missed our very important appt in Belfast at 09.30.
Never ever again.
Extremely stressful experience
We had a very bad experience with this company, we waited 3 hours for our hire car, kept getting told they were waiting for it to be returned. The 3rd time we phoned to get an update they asked did we want to cancel. We went into airport terminal to check if any hire cars were available. Got quoted similar to the price we were paying with Easirent/Rental cars. Phoned them to request to cancel and they came to pick us up immediately! Were taken to their office and one car available there, not the car we requested. We then had to pay for car seats again as Rentalcars had not told Easirent that we had pre paid car seats!! A very stressful experience with 2 small children. Do not use this company! Worth paying a little bit more for a more reputable company. Also don't use 3rd party-deal direct with the rental company eg Budget, Avis etc
AVOID!!
AVOID!!! Given dangerous vehicle and I paid to repair it with NO refund
COWBOYS
Where do I start:
Booked Vauxhall corsa or similar but given a fiat 500. This was then sorted after a lot of stress but it came with its issues!!
I paid for extra insurance (£150 for insurance and £30.00 for bordercrossing - to be insured over the border) yet had to pay for repair myself as no one picked up their breakdown line - was told I would get refunded when I returned the car and still haven't over a month later leaving me 200 euro out of pocket. Told 4 times it was being refunded and still haven't received it.
Was given an UNSAFE car, tyres COMPLETELY BALD, but I was blamed for the damage. Was told " the tracking must be out" when I was also told by a tyre specialist and 2 independent mechanics that there is no way that was done in 1000 miles. IF the tracking was out and that bad we would have noticed in driving it. Had I of been pulled over I could of lost my license and worst case scenario killed. I was told there is no way the car would of been hired out like that all vehicles are checked. On the check sheet it also says the car came with oil and screen wash yet the screen wash tank was dry as a bone, because I had to stop straight away and fill it, and the mechanic checked out oil for us and that was fairly low too - I did take a photo of the dipstick. All 4 tyres had a depth of 5 apparently. The driver side was also as bad but I didn't have enough money to get that changed as well so it was a slow drive back to Belfast.
Wrote a complaint, but had to escalate it twice now because the first 2 people it went to have ignored it - so Easirent please don't reply asking me to go to manage my booking and click on customer service because I have done that and you don't reply anyway. When I spoke to the manager he did apologise and said it might take him a while to get round to it due to his partner about to have a baby, no problem I said. He also said he would process my refund the day I spoke to him on the 6th of July (it is now the 5th of August). A month later and I am still 200 euro down! Perhaps rather than taking £1600 deposit from their customers, their customers should take a deposit from Easirent, and life insurance!
Such a shambles and ended up costing me so much money. I paid for insurance but when i went to call for assistance the numbers didn't work. I was left on the side of the road with a child in the car in the pouring rain. There was no spare tyre, a repair kit with no compressor to go with it so it was pointless anyway!
Avoid
Dreadful customer service
Hired a car at Belfast international airport. Pick up was great as the Belfast guy is lovely & friendly. However the drop of was terrible as the other guy (sounded Mancunian) was rude & even seemed surprised that we wanted a lift to the airport which is about 3 miles away. He also wanted to charge us for a 1cm scratch that we had been told didn’t count when we picked the car up. He really made us feel uncomfortable as he spent ages going over the car pointing out dents which luckily we had made sure we’re on the original agreement. Make sure you photograph every inch of the car before leaving the site especially as not all marks are visible as the cars are not clean when you pick up. The £1500 deposit was held on my credit card for 30 days until it automatically dropped off. I tried to call but nobody answers the phones, & when I called the branch, the rude guy answered & told me to call my card company & hung up. Beware, as I think they try to find things so they keep your £1500 if you don’t take out their extra insurance. Also on our way to the airport my partner asked for the windows to be closed as he has severe problems with his ears, but this rude guy refused & told him he shouldn’t be flying either as that would cause him problems!
No car even though you’ve paid for one!!!!!
Well where do we start?? So excited as a family to arrive in Northern Ireland after such a terrible past few months to meet up with the Extended Family. On arrival I went to sixt to pick up my hire car whilst my son along with his wife and 21 month old went to easirent to pick up theirs. Having rang the night before to confirm their vehicle has isofix fixings for the child seat we had no reason to think there should be any problem with their vehicle. How wrong we were. They arrived at the desk to be told that people had decided to stay longer and there was no vehicle for them. !!!!! Oh and by the way we are not in a position to offer any help at all to assist with the situation even though you are standing there with your wife little boy, push chair luggage and car seat, all excited to see the family. Nothing no help no phone calls no manager no shall we try another rental company nothing. Please please never never give this company the time of day and your money if you are expecting any kind of service. Appalling in the current climate or in any climate for that reason. Stay very much away.
Fiat 500 or nothing mate.
I rang to arrange the shuttle & their guy said the only cars we have are Fiat 500 even though I'd ordered a Hyundai hatchback for the two of us for £150.00
So two businessmen in Ireland for 2 days turning up to meet clients in a glorified tin can.
The guy at easirenet tells me all choices are subject to availability but I don't know why they offer a choice when all they have are Fiat 500.
We have been ripped off for £150 for two days in a hairdressers car.
AVOID these charlatans.
I'm sure they'll deny this but it's 100% fact.
And I was also told I may have to wait up to 6 weeks to get deposit back.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs.
Sat in the airport for 2 hours waiting for shuttle bus service when I arrived.
Went I dropped the car off at the end of my stay they forgot about me, so I ended up getting my own taxi and only just made my flight by a couple of minutes.
Unnecessary stress!
I have emailed customer service requesting a reimbursement for the taxi I had to pay but have not received a reply.
According to other reviews this is a regular occurance.
Booking process was simple
Booking process was simple. I emailed after booking to upgrade and received a response within 5 minutes. So far so good. Looking forward to a flawless pick up and hire.

Avoid
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! - Do not use this company!
They are deceitful, dishonest, and disrespectful. Doesn't even deserve 1 star but zero wasn't an option. They take pleasure in finding underhand ways to screw extra money out of you, bunch of scam artists. It will end up costing at least 4 - 5 times the price you were misled to expect. They charged extortionately extra for not having a printed copy of a document even though I showed the electronic version on my phone. Wouldn’t let me print and said it’s because they didn’t have internet!! Yet, I have received emails from the same office. Told me I couldn’t rent a car from another company at such short notice as they wouldn’t have cars available as it’s such a busy time of year… 6th of January??! the guy kept smirking to his colleague as he was lying to me.
I only accepted the car as I was desperate to get home to see my sick mother. Instead of being helpful, they used my desperation as an opportunity to manipulate me to line their pockets and empty mine.
Kept insisting the car was in good condition, repeatedly telling me how 'fresh' it is. When I looked around the car the nearside rear panel was badly damaged with a deep dent and crease, paint scraped and a layer of rust to the bare metal. The guy dealing with me claimed he knew nothing about it, “it must have just happened” even though the bare metal was badly rusted.
I now return to Belfast on a very regular basis and will always use a well-known reputable company conveniently situated at the actual airport (not in some dodgy industrial dump miles away). You will be treated with the respect you deserve and it will cost less in the long run.
