I have placed an order for children's reading books on the 11th of January 2021 and I received an email confirming my order has been received, processed and scanned by An Post. However, when I check on An Post's tracking app with the tracking numbers I got from Eason's, I get a reply that the tracking numbers dont exist. I checked again a few days later but to no avail. I emailed Eason's customer service on the 18th of January but got the standard unhelpful reply. I understand that online requests and orders are on high demand. Eason's should have predicted and prepared for this. I assume that as they sell and supply newspapers that they would have seen Covid cases were on the rise and lockdown of level 5 maybe possible. I have seen retailers who didnt open during the last lockdown now provide online services during this lockdown. I have ordered from other companies who used An Post to deliver their goods to their value customers. When I got tracking numbers from the companies, I was able to track my order on An Post app. Very disappointing Eason Management needs to do a course on Customer Experience.

Absolute disgrace. Waiting 2 weeks for my order. Wont answer all my queries. I was going to buy from book depository as half the price, but against my good judgement said I would keep it local and Irish. They told me in first reply stuck in an other country. Do not I repeat do not buy or trust this company.

ordered a book on-line, it took 2 weeks!!! for the book to be dispatched - that should be highlighted at the point of order, i could have ordered a cheaper version elsewhere to be delivered quicker

Will not be using Easons again, ordered over a week ago.I got email following day to say they had been picked at warehouse & to allow 2/3 days for An Post to pick up. Still waiting, can't track them. Contacted support twice, no reply to first message. Reply to second message was that they are coming from UK. Delay not their fault & all the usual pass the blame. Brexit will be the ongoing excuse for the next few months. I will not be buying from them again.

They shipped out my item very fast however the post was slow so the books somehow got damaged but only one of them. So far, I'm a bit happy and I would recommend for everyone not to buy during december months 'cause the courier gets slow.

I believe Easons sent me a damaged book, because it was securely wrapped in a box and some of the top pages were torn which is impossible when it's securely wrapped.

P.S Easons customer service is very helpful and they're very kind.

Do not order from Easons, terrible service and you might not get your items. Ordered a 2021 diary on Jan 1st and emailed days later after no update to which they eventually replied that it was still in the "picking" stage. I noticed what I ordered had since been sold out on the website and got no further updates on the order. After having to get a link to view my order status through a special email (not available freely on their site) today it has been "cancelled" without any notification or explanation from easons themselves. Clearly they fulfilled orders to people who had purchased after me and had not bothered to tell me.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. I ordered some books online. I wanted to return some books and attended the Omni branch to be told there not an Easons and that i had to attend a "proper Easons" to return my online order. I then attended the Swords Branch to return my order filled out forms etc to be told they do not do online processes in store and that the books would have to be returned to their warehouse and i would have to wait for my refund. I have twice emailed their online help system with NO REPLY to any of my emails. I still have received no confirmation of my return nor my refund. Please stay away from online ordering. Buy Irish if Irish businesses actually cared about their customers i might, i will not be purchasing from Easons again.

I ordered on Black Friday- last weekend in November, this is the worst customer experience I have had. It cannot be blamed on Covid-19/an post. It took 16 days to dispatch my parcel without all the items and I’m still awaiting the second dispatch. I can’t recall a worse service provider. 30 days late dispatching a candle and missed Christmas

I ordered books from Easons online on the 1st December. These books were Christmas presents and they have still not arrived on the 24th of December. I have tried to contact Easons in relation to this on numerous occasions and have never received a response. I have completely lost faith in this company and have yet to receive the books that I have ordered.

Just bought a book for €7.35. Total appeared as €7.35 and I have now been charged €3.80!!!!! for delivery - more than half the cost of the book!!! Tried to go back when it flashed up but was too late.
Will NEVER buy from this website again.

Basically what everyone else here is saying. DO NOT ORDER OFF EASONS ONLINE.

Pre ordered a book with them, because the website explicitly states that preorders will be dispatched to arrive on date of delivery. Still haven't gotten the dispatch confirmation, despite the book being published. Thought I'd be good support the Irish business and all that, but they are just inefficient and bad. Friends ordered off amazon and Dubray and got theirs on the day. Easons are a waste of time, less inclined to even go to their stores now.

Just tried ordering two items via the Easons website. The order failed but my Paypal account was still debited.

Businesses as large as Easons should invest more into these revenue channels - I should have received more info than "Please try again" and being logged out of my Easons account.

Website has been produced exceptionally poorly and cheaply.

Very poor service - we'll see how long a refund takes.

I wish I had read reviews. Ordered 4 weeks ago schoolbooks for my son and they are still arriving individually. I have since gotten them elsewhere as needed them for the start of school and now have to go and return them. Customer service is impossible also. Ordered half the books off schoolbooks.ie and received everything in one box within a week

I wish I read the reviews before ordering.... I suppose I assumed Easons would be the more trusted supplier to use with it being a well established business for many years. I'm still waiting on my order. The books that were out of stock were available from Book Haven, so I ordered those from Book Haven and got those the next day. I can't believe how AWFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL Easons are. I tried calling numerous times but got cut-off on each occasion except on one occasion where I did manage to speak to someone who said she'd follow up with the warehouse and get back to me but she never did get back to me. I'm so annoyed. NEVER EVER AGAIN will I use the online service. I've given a one star rating because I can't give it zero.

Received books but online school system really needs to be addressed .I've never seen books come in individual boxes / packages 19 books ordered I'd say I received 6 separate packages .I'd say this has stressed alot of people out .

I will NEVER order from easons again, I ordered 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting on the rest of my son's school books, I recieve 1 book everyday, like what sort of company does that, there customer service is appalling, I've sent numerous emails with no response, I will be sticking with school books.ie from now on.

Ive been left to look like an unorganised parent after sending my three kids to school without the majority of their books. Even though I ordered weeks ago.. 4 books arrived to date in 3 separate small packages. I recieved an email today confirming one more book is in the post.. no word on the remaining 20. I expected everything to arrive at the same time, as these books were in stock. Customer service are yet to respond. I usually order from schoolbooks.ie and tried Easons for a change.. needless to say I wont be going back.

I placed an order for books and it was confirmed that it will be sent to me within 7 days. After 14-15 days we received a tiny package with only two little books. We have not been contacted earlier that order will be delayed and/or partially sent, no info ever at all. I had to email them myself just to get a response after few days that there has been a problem with the package that had already been resolved and remaining books would be sent roughly from 5 to 7 days again. All those days would be totaled at 25 days of wait time. I requested a refund just to get a response that it might be to late and then again I waited 3 days and emailed them and threatened them with contacting consumer rights commission and legal steps if need be and then refund came in two hours.

10% of discount that they offer for online order is nowhere close to be worth anything considering amount of stress we came through.

Will never order the again and will definitely tell everyone not to. Worst experience ever.
