Drama

Drama, offer gets canceled for no reason due to imaginary errors. Notification emails contain references to non-existent modification features. Ebay has been the world's worst e-commerce site for ages and is doing its best to never leave the No. 1 spot in this ranking.

eBay doesn’t care about customers

eBay doesn’t care about customers. If you try to leave negative feedback it won’t allow you to. You’ll get a message stating we’ve already left feedback which is a lie trying to force you in contacting seller 1st. It took 8 days to receive order. No why? Because they go thru 3rd party so customers have to wait for seller to receive from Ama 1st then eBay seller ships out. BS! So since I can’t leave seller feedback on eBay, I’ll leave feedback here and everywhere else!! Want shop eBay again!

Never ever buy anything on eBay

Never ever buy anything on eBay!
Bought 2 pairs of sneakers from a seamingly legit seller with positive reviews and received the first pair. They are 100% counterfeit.

After reporting this MY ACCOUNT got suspended for making false claims?
The eBay customer support is the worst in the world and that’s a big achievement.

They won’t look into my suspension or the fact that i am a victim of a crime on their platform. They would rather protect a scamming seller and block a legit buyer from every buying and selling on eBay again, than to protect their customers from counterfeit sellers.

Seller xixi_9227 and eBay are both responsible for scamming/robbing €370. Good job, great customer support

Ebay are now awful in every respect

Ebay are now awful in every respect. I listed a caravan for sale and when I reduced the price many times there was no response so I ended the listing and tried to reinsert it to be told I’d have to pay again. This Company are now awful in every respect nobody wants to buy or sell on this dreadful site because it’s now bad for both buyers and sellers, they are now finished and I’ve been a customer of theirs for 22 years .

1 star because I can not give 0 stars.
As a seller I loose my money every time !
People buy an item, say it was delivered damaged or not received at all (even if it was delivered with proof of tracking information) and get a refund. I have no money and no item. Again and again. Now was the last time I used ebay as a seller. Ebay never helps me, they are just as bad as the buyers on ebay !

eBay is bringing in huge changes that…

eBay is bringing in huge changes that…

eBay is bringing in huge changes that will affect both buyers and sellers
From the Daily Mirror Money Editor 12/12/24
eBay will introduce a new buyers fee, along with an update that will see sellers only receive payment once the buyer has confirmed they've received their item
eBay is set to introduce several new changes for millions of users next year - including a new fee for buyers and delaying payments for sellers.

The online selling platform will introduce the new buyers fee next year, although no date has been set yet. This is an extra charge that will be paid by buyers when they purchase an item on eBay - it comes on top of the price of the actual item that they’re buying.

We've asked eBay if the buyer fee will be a fixed charge or a percentage of the sale price and we'll update this article when we get a response. Vinted and Depop have both introduced buyer fees in recent years.

Another major change eBay is introducing, is delaying when private sellers receive payment until the item is confirmed to have been delivered. This means sellers will not get paid until their buyer confirms they have received the item. This will come into force from February 4, 2025.
Finally, private sellers will soon be forced to pay for their postage through eBay. They will have to confirm the size of their parcel through eBay’s “simple delivery managed shipping” system, which is already available for private sellers who list pre-owned clothing.

The expansion of this to other types of listings will happen in early 2025, although no exact date has been confirmed yet. The Sun reports that eBay will start by allowing private sellers to “opt out” of using its method of shipping before making it compulsory.

It comes after eBay removed all selling fees in October. This means sellers keep more of the cash they make through the website, as they no longer pay final value fees, regulatory operating fees, or an insertion fee when they sell on eBay.

The only exception to this new rule is motor sales, as fees will still be in place for the sales of cars, motorcycles and vehicle listings. The site removed selling fees on all fashion items earlier this year. The platform removed selling fees on its German site last year and saw a rise in both sellers and buyers.

eBay says the move will help households as research conducted by the company found that half of British households have unused items in their home worth between £50 and £300. Nearly a quarter are believed to be sitting on items worth over £500.
to be sitting on items worth over £500.

eBay has also introduced a new "eBay balance" feature which, instead of withdrawing their cash into their bank account, it gives sellers the option to use to money they make to shop on eBay, promote their listings, purchase delivery labels or withdraw cash if they want to do so.

I do not recommend this thief c0ompany

I do not recommend this thief company. As a professional, they charge you 200EUR in fees for items that you have not sold. If the seller cancels the order, they charged us 680EUR for items not sold. They are disguised thieves, run away and do not sell to them.

Used to be great, now feedback isn't available in most cases and it s turned into a gamble

Used to love eBay, used it for years as a buyer and a seller (for second hand/private interactions, not as much the shops). The feedback were very valuable, and customers service usually fast and efficient in case of issue.

Now sellers can cancel you orders without any justification or even notifying you,it has happened to me on 2 occasions recently, after a few days of waiting already, leaving me without time to consider other options..

On top of this you can no longer leave a feedback as a buyer if a seller cancels your order, or as a seller if a buyer never pays you..?!
You do get refunded, but it s an open door to people not taking it seriously. Isn't the auction a legal binding?

I 've used Ebay for years, the feedbacks were what made transactions trustworthy, now it's a gamble, maybe you ll get someone serious, but if not, too bad, you be wasted your time and other opportunities to buy or sell to someone else..
