Scam - (Edfirst, School Supplies and now Educational Hub) I didn't get a single piece of business from this company or even an enquiry. Not only that but they put my business on their list of 'Feature... See more

Rectified initial problems well.
My initial contact with this Company was rather poor. The telesales person oversold the potential benefits (easy access to consultancy work in schools at high rates). Given the present financial climate, this seemed most unrealistic and the substantial cost I would have to pay apparently for advertising gave no guarantee of work.
However, a conversation with the MD has proved most constructive. It was good to hear him listen to my concerns, explain more fully what Edfirst offers and be appreciative of my feedback.

Excellent company
Excellent company, made my money back within the first week of registering!!
I have now been a member of school…
I have now been a member of school supplies / edfirst for 3 months. The staff are very helpful in getting my profile setup and the best way to market myself to schools. Pleased to say I have had contact from a number of schools to date with various types of work.
The tender system that they offer is a superb tool and I have just won my first contract through this system.
If you want to get yourself in front of schools I would recommened this
Enquires already
Signed up with Edfirst about a week ago. The staff are pleasent, helpful and knowledgable. They explained clearly the product and the process.
In the past week I have had several enquires.
Fantastic
Good Service, Bookings placed already
Signed up as a member of edFirst a couple of months back, very helpful explaining how the systems work and pleased to say already had 4 bookings for trips from schools.
Looking forward to getting more bookings over the course of the next 12 months
Interesting concept
Helpful sales service. Polite and any issues overcome in a timely manner.
And now the full story, as the above was posted in order to get a refund.
Sales team contacted me and offered me a franchise on my postcode to service schools in my area (locksmithing). They explained that they needed my credit card details to set up, what they described as “like being a Paypal system.” Next day i get charged £720, which was a shock to me as at no point had they explained i was entering into a contract, the amount of money i was going to be charged, my cancellation rights ect. Basically this was fraud. I did eventually get a full refund after many emails and recorded evidence that they had not followed proper procedures. I don’t know if they were ever going to pass on enough work to cover my outlay, but suspect that due to their aggressive and dissipative marketing, better to avoid.
Ineffective marketing
The staff were polite; the poor star rating is for the effectiveness of the package. We signed up and in 2 years did not receive any enquiries at all, despite "going for broke" the second year and publishing a double page editorial.

No Cooling off period for Business to business customers
DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS COMPANY!! They sell you a package based on getting tenders for school work, but every company I spoke to said they had no tenders, or were not in their area. I cancelled the next day and they are trying to say i have no cooling off period. NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY.
Update 20th September 2018: They didn't refund my money even though I cancelled within 24 hours. The few times I checked the account (seeing as they refused the refund) all the tenders I saw were out of my area.
Update 28th January: They were informed I was a small business from Southampton, that I couldn't handle work above £20,000.00 and we didn't currently work further than a 25 mile radius from Southampton. They were quick to take my money and promise I would get tenders within this category. Tenders were for Newcastle, London, Liverpool etc and all way above £20,000.00. A reputable company would have returned the money understanding it was not sold correctly.
