I think this itinerary was a mile wide and an inch deep. This was great at scratching the surface of a lot of things if that is what you’re looking for.

As the parent of a 16-year-old, I can wholeheartedly recommend EF Tours. This trip exceeded our expectations in every way and gave my son an experience he'll remember for the rest of his life. From the planning and communication before departure to the organization throughout the trip, everything was handled with incredible professionalism. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, allowing the students to focus on learning, exploring, and making lifelong memories. It was an outstanding value for everything that was included. A huge thank you to Melissa Geinitz, one of the school teachers who accompanied the group. She was absolutely phenomenal. She struck the perfect balance between being organized, responsible, and fun. She genuinely cared about every student, making sure they felt included, safe, and supported while also encouraging them to experience everything the trip had to offer. It's clear she invested a tremendous amount of time and energy into making this an unforgettable experience for the kids. The itinerary was outstanding. Every day offered something new, from walking through ancient ruins and exploring historic cities to relaxing by the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. There was the perfect balance of educational experiences, sightseeing, cultural immersion, and free time to explore. My son came home with countless stories, incredible photos, and a much deeper appreciation for the history and culture of both Italy and Greece. One of his favorite parts was the food. Italy absolutely lived up to its reputation, with authentic pizza, fresh pasta, creamy gelato, and pastries that were unlike anything he's had at home. Every meal felt like part of the cultural experience. Greece was equally impressive, with delicious grilled meats, fresh seafood, flavorful gyros, crisp Greek salads, fresh breads, and incredible desserts. The meals weren't just food—they were an opportunity to experience local traditions and hospitality. The people we encountered throughout both countries were incredibly warm and welcoming. Everywhere the students went, they were met with kindness, patience, and genuine friendliness. It made traveling internationally feel comfortable and enjoyable and left a lasting impression on my son. The hotels were very good overall. The Rome hotel was a little outdated, but it was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. The accommodations throughout the rest of the trip, especially in Greece, were excellent and exceeded our expectations. I also can't say enough about our EF Tour Director, Panos. He was simply exceptional and one of the biggest reasons this trip was such a success. He was knowledgeable, funny, personable, organized, and endlessly patient. He brought history to life with fascinating stories, answered every question with enthusiasm, and somehow managed to keep a large group of teenagers engaged while making everything feel effortless. His positive attitude, sense of humor, and genuine care for the students created an atmosphere where everyone felt welcomed and excited every day. He wasn't just a tour guide—he became a mentor, teacher, and friend throughout the journey. As a parent, there's always a little anxiety when your child travels halfway around the world without you. EF Tours gave me complete confidence that he was in excellent hands. The communication was outstanding, the safety measures were evident throughout the trip, and the entire staff demonstrated professionalism at every step. Most importantly, my son returned home more independent, more confident, and excited to learn more about the world. He made wonderful friendships, experienced cultures firsthand, and created memories that our family will treasure forever. If you're considering EF Tours for your student, I highly recommend it. This wasn't just a vacation—it was an educational, cultural, and life-changing experience. We would absolutely travel with EF Tours again.

This trip was great overall, with some room for improvement. The variety of locations visited and high quality loc guides were a strong pro of this trip. Some areas for improvement included buses without sufficient air conditioning, drivers who smoked while driving, and horrible sewage smells in a hot bus. There was a lot of travel time spent on buses in this trip, so uncomfortable travel is a problem.

In credibility fast paced tour! I felt like the entire trip was in fast forward. I know it’s an educational tour, however it would have been nice to have more time at each stop even if it meant having fewer stops.
