It was a great trip and our students enjoyed it.
Bram made it very easy for us. The Eurotram was super clean and fast.
Seeing London and Paris was amazing, thanks mostly to our incredible tour director, Gil Selby. He made sure we were able to see everything on our itinerary, knew the history and facts behind every item on the itinerary, and made sure both the kids and adults were all engaged the entire time! All we had to do was show up where he told us when he told us, and Gil took care of the rest! I can’t stress just how excellent of a job he did, truly. I read about these tours beforehand and a lot of them said that the tour director would make or break your trip, and Gil for sure made our trip exceptional! Thanks, Gil, hopefully we will see you next spring for the tour in Italy!

Very relaxing trip in the train.
I have traveled to London many times before however this experience was phenomenal as I learned and saw things I have not seen on previous visits. This was the first time for my son and he absolutely loved it and learned so much.
I love the food, hotels and tour director. I just didn’t like our group having to fly on two different airplanes.
Our tour of London was fantastic but not without problems. EF's booking agent for the airlines split our group into two and placed us on different airlines with different arrival times, making it difficult to regroup in London. The second group's flight was delayed so they missed the walking tour.

Larger groups are sometimes booked on split itineraries due to flight availability, but we do our best to book the best flight options for our groups. Our daughter loved the trip, but we thought EF cut corners for cost reasons. Several things of note. First, the hotels were problematic. The London hotel was located at Heathrow, and the Paris hotel was considered poor quality. There were, at times, three girls in a room, and the Paris hotel in particular had lousy beds and was located in a sketchy neighborhood. Food quality on the trip was thought to be lousy, or at least unsuitable for teens. We also found flight planning difficult. EF couldn't tell us about our daughter's flights till 2 months before the trip, and the return flight from Paris required an unnecessary change of planes in London. And the cost -- $4,000 per person, for a six-day trip, shared occupancy in cheap hotels? How is that possible? We would not use EF again.

Regarding the hotels, we strive to provide comfortable accommodations for our students, but understand that individual preferences can vary. Hotels must meet certain health and safety requirements in order for us to use them including room for a bus and 24 hour security. Students will be placed in rooms with 2 to 3 other students of the same gender, which may require bed sharing at times. We are sorry if this information was not communicated to the parents ahead of time. We appreciate your feedback and take it into consideration as we continue to evaluate our tours.
We had perfect weather as our spring break trip was pushed to a summer trip 1 1/2 years later due to Covid 19 lockdowns. Our tour guide Slim excelled at providing extra excursions and activities, greatly appreciated by the kids and adults on the tour. I highly recommend EF Tours as an initial international travel experience for youth. This is the second trip I have been on with a nephew and EF Tours, both have been wonderful. The previous trip was to Spain.
My daughter described it as the most freeing, gratifying, and wonderful experience. She discovered a lot about herself. The group and the tour guide formed great friendships.
This was a great tour for my middle school son. He got to see all the major highlights of these 2 amazing cities and gained some confidence and independence in the process.
Every aspect of our trip was phenomenal, EXCEPT the Hotel Campanile Paris. The sites, tours, directors, guides, and drivers were friendly and knowledgeable. They were extremely flexible and ensured we maximized our time there. The experience in the hotel assigned in Paris, has seriously jeopardized my child's future participation in EF Tour trips. If our first hotel was any indication, this was an anomaly. The hotel was filthy and allowed subsidized housing for locals. During check-in I interrupted a sex worker asking our students for condoms. Access to the hotel was unrestricted, so our chaperones were making routine check-ins throughout the nights ensuring the safety of our children. I hope EF contacts us, with a formal apology, and confirmation that this is not the routine experience and this hotel will never be used to house children again.
