Ef Italy/Spain July of 2026 was outstanding! I took a group of 17 (myself included) and we enjoyed every bit of it. Lots of variety, some well-timed freetime and great food. We hit the high places in both countries. Well worth the price. Great service on tour too. We had a wonderful tour director named Charles. He was flexible, funny and knowledgeable. Everyone enjoyed themselves.

Our EF Tours trip was an amazing experience! The itinerary was well planned, the food was great, the hotels were comfortable, and every place we visited was incredible. Our tour director was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and always willing to share interesting information about each destination. He was also very polite and patient with both the group leaders and the students, which made the experience enjoyable and stress-free for everyone. My only recommendation would be to have a lighter schedule on the first day, especially after a long journey. Starting at a slower pace would help everyone adjust and enjoy the trip even more. Overall, I highly recommend EF Tours. It was a memorable experience, and I would gladly travel with them again.

I recently had the privilege of leading a group of students on EF's Italy & Spain tour, and it was truly one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. The itinerary was the perfect balance of history, culture, and unforgettable experiences. Watching my students stand in the Colosseum, explore the Vatican, wander through the streets of Florence, and experience the energy of Barcelona and Madrid reminded me why educational travel is so powerful. These weren't just sightseeing opportunities: They were meaningful learning experiences that brought classroom lessons to life. It was an unforgettable experience, not only for my students but for me as an educator. Seeing the world through their eyes and watching them grow throughout the trip is something I'll always treasure. I can't wait to lead another EF tour in the future!

We would enjoy more from the trip if time was available to see and do whatever in the area

There were a few things planned and on the itinerary that the group didn't get to do/experience. A 5-6 hour layover both ways is just unacceptable to me. No checked bag was included and also no seat assignments on any of the flights. A company that specializes in trips like this ought to do better considering the amount we paid for this trip.

Serena, our TD, really understood what the kids needed and made changes as necessary. She taught them about history, culture, and life while remaining relatable to teens. My students really loved her.

Our guide was fantastic, and the drivers were top notch as well. The meals provided by EF were severely lacking in appeal and cultural experience. The missing star is due to group meals, not the staff of the tour. The guide and bus drivers were 5 out of 5! The tour was mainly a passing look at historical buildings or locations. More access inside historical locations would be great!

My daughter was expecting to tour the Colosseum and the Cathedral in Barcelona but they were only able to look at it. The food was not authentic and not very good. She expressed they continually ate at McDonalds because their food was disappointing. The early wake up calls were un acceptable. Once at 330 am and once at 230 am. They couldn't enjoy Madrid because they were exhausted. For the money we paid I feel like a normal wake up call of 7 to 8 am is acceptable. The Hotel in Barcelona was exceptional as well as the beach. The Town on the way to Florence was the best part of Italy.

Would have liked the chance to actually go inside of the attractions rather than just walk by. The food and hotels were nice.

My son has traveled a lot with us family. We have been in many placed in the world. He had the opportunity to go on 2 trips from EF during his high school years. They were amazing. Helping him to view the world in a different perspective, more independent (not with his family) , appreciated culture more. Also, the professors who organized and chaperoned were amazing. This is a great opportunity for young teenagers to explore the world.

Italy and Spain are wonderful places to visit. The students learned so much and EF packs a lot into a very short time. I wish the lodging was a little more consistent and that we could spend less time traveling (including to and from hotels each day).

The whole trip was a wonderful experience. just a suggestion that make it a little less hectic with a little better planning

Two of the most amazing places full of rich history and really good food. I don't see how this experience wouldn't appeal to travelers of all ages.

Though our trip was cut short due to flight issues, our time with our Tour Director, Mario, was a wonderful time! Once we were able to join our tour (that had begun 3 days prior), as a tour leader, I was able to release the responsibilities of being in charge, to Mario. The stress and anxiety of having to make decisions for my travelers was no longer mine. The sights we saw were beautiful. We were on a trip of 2 countries, so our days were booked with tour guides and places to have to be at certain times. It felt rushed, but I guess that's what happens when you only have 2 days in each location. Again, make no mistake, our time with our Tour Director, Mario, was FANTASTIC! We were disappointed to find out that our tour of the Vatican, did not include the tour of St. Peter's Basilica. We had no time to tour that on our own, like we thought we were going to have. I know that things change and adjustments need to be made based on time, but do not put a tour of St. Peter's Basilica on the itinerary. It is not inlcuded in the tour of the Vatican.

Our tour guide, Mario, was absolutely fantastic — truly one of the highlights of the entire trip. The lodging was solid and very standard for the regions we visited, and the sites themselves were incredible. We fully explored each city and immersed ourselves in the local culture, which made every stop feel meaningful and memorable. Meals were fresh, local, and really reflective of each area’s traditions, which we appreciated. The only reason I can’t give a full five stars is the transportation to and from Europe. While I understand the issues weren’t directly EF’s fault, I do feel the situation could have been handled a bit better with the resources available. Overall, it was a wonderful, well-organized experience, and we loved getting to see so much of Europe.

It's very comforting to have our tour guide with us from the very moment we arrive to the moment we leave. He was excellent!
