The EF team was very supportive before and during our tour. They handled a few crisis flawlessly
I absolutely love this particular tour. I've been traveling a long time with EF and this is my favorite. We got to see a glimpse of Paris (we could have used another day in Paris) and also some of the countryside. The villages of the Loire Valley and Normandy provide a contrast with the big city. Seeing different eras, like the Renaissance and WWII, were also good. The students really enjoyed visiting different areas of France and said that they had visited Paris and France.
They are great and trust company especially for students
Touring the history of France as delightful. The culture and country is breathtaking.
Beguiling France! Our teen had a great time on this tour. From start to finish, the entire experience was organized, well structured, and retained enough flexibility that, when travelers complained about one meal (a fish dinner that was also acknowledged to be sub-par by the tour leader), the tour leader was able to give them each a bit of cash to go grab something they liked (surprise, it was pizza). The school chaperone kept families updated using a facebook page, and another parent friend of ours made sure that we received regular proof of life of our daughter. Excellent teamwork demonstrated by the adults on the trip. The tour started and ended in Paris, and if there was one critique, the group got a bit castled out by the end of the trip...after the 3rd one, they started to look the same. Highlights included Normandy Beaches, Mont St. Michel, and wandering Paris. The Louvre was taken in on the last day of the tour, and while there is no such thing as "sufficient time" to see it, the time spent was adequate to get the biggest exhibits. From a parent's perspective, the payment plan was a plus, though the total cost seemed a bit on the high side. Spread out over nearly 2 years though made it manageable. Optional insurance gave me a peace of mind should there be emergencies, and 9 days total seemed to be about the right length. This was a return visit to France for our kid, but the opportunity for her to make her own memories unemcumbered by family was phenomenal. We're grateful that we were able to provide this for her and for EF and her French Teacher for executing such a great experience.
EF made the tour a pleasant and safe experience. My daughter loved the tour guides.
My 16 year old son brought home some wonderful memories, photos, souvenirs and stories... I could not be happier with his experience.
We went on this exciting experience to France expecting the best interaction and moment on this tour. We were sorely disappointed. To start off it was inconsiderate how, immediately after we arrived in France after a total of 14+ hours of travel, we had to get on the bus and start the tour right away. There was no opportunity to shower, refresh, or do basic hygiene. This was extremely inconsiderate because everyone was jet lagged and exhausted. To make things worse, bus 2 had some things that didn't even work. Some armrests, recline lever, and charging ports did not work. The restroom on the bus was closed off, and it only got opened briefly because of everyones complaints. And it was unfair how bus 1 had unlimited access to their bus restroom and their bus even had free wifi included! To the best of my knowledge everyone on this tour paid the exact same amount. Bus 2 lacked features and characteristics that bus 1 had. Additionally to my surprise on the last day we spent in France when we visited the eiffel tower, bus 1 and 2 got different busses and STILL, bus 1 got the better quality bus! Bus 2 didn't even have functioning air-conditioning, and the temperature was 95+ degrees Fahrenheit!!! The seats on bus 2 were uncomfortable and the bus was dirty with trash on the ground. Hotels. The first hotel we stayed at met bare minimum expectations. Immediately from the get go, one elevator was not functioning, and the AC in the hotel room was barely functioning. On the second to last hotel we stayed at, Britt hotels in Brittany, was an absolute nightmare. We arrived at that hotel late into the night, exhausted after a long day of walking and climbing stairs. That hotel had NO AC, NO ELEVATOR, and BAD BREAKFAST. How in the world is someone supposed to enjoy a hard earned rest from a long day without AIR CONDITIONING?! To sleep in those tiny rooms and not suffocate the only thing we were able to do was open the single window to get a pathetic breeze of warm air in. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE! The cherry on top was the dinner that the tour provided. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. The first evening we were given a small portion of chicken leg with French fries. The portion was so small that we were not filled with that small dinner. The most horrific dinner that we were given was in a cave restaurant. We were served what seemed to be salad and tuna for appetizer, everyone had begun to dig in and unbeknownst to us what we were eating was not tuna but GOOSE LIVER. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! We were then served the entree which was sausages and sautéed potatoes. But not any regular pork/chicken/meat sausage, no.... a GOOSE SAUSAGE! Just the sheer fact that they did not let us know what we were being served was inconsiderate. The other meals we were served throughout the trip were terrible. No flavor, and just blatant gross food. Most of us opting out and ordered Uber eats. One thing is experiencing and tasting cultural foods and another is just getting bad and poorly made food! The only bright side to this tour was our tour guide Roxanne. She was kind, helpful, and understanding. If she had not been there this review would definitely drop down to a 1 star. All in all, for the amount of money paid to go on this trip, too many things were inconsiderate and not up to par. For the horrible quality and everything we went through, may of well have thrown the money spent on this trip into the trash. Utterly disappointed.
It was very fun
Not perfect
My student enjoyed it
She loved it
Mr. Greg was a great tour director.
The tour guide was excellent, and the stops were amazing. We couldn't have done this on our own!
I give EF Tours 5 stars. I love the fact that everything is lined up for you, translation, reservations, meals, travel, and visiting all the major places that we all want to see, plus the little side adventures. Our Tour Director was absolutely fabulous and I will definitely travel again using EF Tours!
Beautiful tour of France! Would have wanted more time in each place. The pacing of the tours could have been more tailored to the groups' interests. Most of the group expressed feeling very rushed in most locations.
We felt very comfortable sending our daughter to another country (without us) with EF Tours. She felt prepared and we felt very comfortable.
Great trip! My daughter saw many different parts of France along with must see attractions. The tour guide was very fun and knowledgeable about what they were seeing. I highly recommend this tour!
Great trip!
