In eight days we covered a lot of ground. Guided by our Tour Director, our group (which consisted of 3 smaller groups) became as one. We were on time and able to move smoothly from place to place. We packed in a lot of ground, enjoying some magnificent sites in this region of France. Free time was allowed for, giving everyone time to grab lunch and explore the city centers. Being my first EF Tour, I was uncertain about what to expect for the hotel accommodations. The hotels were modern and met high standards. Each traveler was able to have their own bed, even with 3-4 in a room. Breakfasts offered a lot of variety to meet various tastes and allow for my travelers to be well nourished before heading out for the day. I look forward to my next trip!!

This tour included a lot of visits, but we also had ample free time to enjoy our time in France. The balance was just about perfect. Also, while we did have some travel from one region to another, these were only a few hours at a time (never longer than 4 hours on the bus), unlike some tours where most of one or two days might be spent traveling from one place to another. Since we weren't spending as much time traveling between regions or even countries, we got to experience these areas more fully.

Our group arrived at Paris and we started exploring right away. Our Tour Director, Guillaume, was amazing! We took pictures at the Arc de Triomphe, walked around Paris, visited Notre Dame and the Louvre. My students LOVED the Seine cruise and watching the Eiffel Tower light up. After Paris, we went to Loire Valley, Brittany, and Normandy - castles, cathedrals, beach, museums! There was no time to be bored. It was fantastic.

Good itinerary and excellent support from our tour consultant, departure specialist and tour director. On the last day there was a missing passport of an underage student. EF's emergency response team moved mountains to provide a path for the student to return home, departing the same day on a different airline, even without the passport.

What a fun experience. We were able to see and so everything on the itinerary. However, due to the EU driving restrictions, we had less time than we had in the past. I would suggest to either stay in a place on site or cut out some items so as to have more time at the quality sites. Good tour overall. Nice hotels and food!

Wonderful tour with Paris and her sights, the beautiful castles of the Loire Valley, Mont St. Michel, St. Malo, and the Normandy beaches. The Caen Memorial was so well done - my students really enjoyed that. Great experience for them - not only the sights but the whole experience of traveling!

wish I could give EF Tours negative stars because even one star would be too generous. My recent trip to France with this company was hands down the worst experience of my 17 years of existence. Every single second was a nightmare, and I would not wish this trip on my worst enemy. Cheap and Miserable Accommodations For a trip that cost over $4,000, one would expect at least decent hotels. Instead, we were crammed into low-budget, subpar accommodations that felt more like hostels than actual hotels. The rooms were tiny, outdated, and uncomfortable—definitely not the “immersive travel experience” they promised. Food? More Like Prison Rations I have a dietary restriction regarding pork, which I clearly stated in advance. Did EF Tours care? Absolutely not. They repeatedly gave me meals containing pork or the absolute cheapest substitute they could find. The food was laughably bad—bland, repetitive, and not reflective of the rich culinary culture France is known for. For the price we paid, we should have been enjoying authentic French cuisine, not whatever discounted slop they threw at us. A Tourist’s Worst Itinerary The entire itinerary was a joke. Instead of spending time at real landmarks, we wasted hours on irrelevant, uninteresting stops while rushing through the places that actually mattered. Case in point: The Eiffel Tower. We didn’t even get to stand in front of it. Instead, we were taken to the back where construction was happening, given five minutes to snap a photo, and then rushed off to another pointless destination. Where Did the Money Go? For over $4,000, one would assume EF Tours would provide quality experiences. Instead, it felt like they cut corners at every possible turn—cheapest hotels, cheapest food, cheapest activities. Where did our money go? Because it certainly wasn’t spent on giving us a memorable, enjoyable experience. Final Verdict: Stay FAR Away from EF Tours If you are even considering booking a trip with EF Tours, DON’T. It was a miserable, poorly planned, overpriced disaster. I left France with nothing but regret, frustration, and a deep-seated hatred for this company’s blatant disregard for its travelers. Do yourself a favor—book with a reputable company or plan your own trip. Anything is better than EF Tours.
