This trip included a lot and I do mean a lot of walking, so be prepared. I enjoyed every aspect of the first half of our trip and so did my daughter. Every tour stop left us in awe! In Rome we visited the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. I love hearing the history of Pompeii and how the town was once a thriving elite town and wiped out by volcanic ash. It was amazing to see how well the town was preserved. We visited the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, both are visually spectacular. The Vatican and Sistine Chapel was absolutely craftsmanship. Every statute and wood work was very well crafted and rich and life-like. As for the food, we enjoyed a lot of gelato and pizza and other cuisines. The second half of our trip led us to Athens. We visited Acropolis where we learned about Athena the Goddess of War. We had the joy of looking at beautiful statues and olive trees. The students had a chance to visit the Olympic Stadium and take pictures with their school olympic shirts. We all had an enjoyable time taking the Greek dance lesson in Delphi. The lamp chops in Athens were a chef's kiss, they were absolutely delicious and very well recommended by the restaurant staff members. We sampled other cuisines in Athens but the lamp chops were my favorite. We enjoyed and received a lot of information from this trip that I was not aware of. This trip was well worth it. I will be making plans to visit again. My few complaints were I didn't like the hotel in Rome (Hotel La Pineta dei Liberti) and how it was so secluded and there were no convenience stores within walking distance. That hotel was not welcoming and is in desperate need of a remodel. I like that the beach was a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel in Athens (Alexander Beach) was located in a beautiful location. The hotel was more updated and larger in size. There were nearby restaurants and stores. The beach was a 5 minute walk. The food was very good at the restaurant on the property. My only wish for the entire trip is to have one day of down time in each location for the students to shop for souvenirs and to take a breather from the long day activities. Thank you EF for a wonderful trip and experience.

Rome food could have been more diverse. The trip needed to be extended 1 day on both locations, to allow for at least a little time to explore. Otherwise wonderful, with lovely hotels that were chosen in beautiful locations.

The tour director, bus driver in Greece, and all our tour guides were wonderful. Our group had a great experience. However, EVERYTHING leading up to the departure was horrible. The price kept changing, information kept changing, communication was an abomination. It was over priced. We definitely got hustled. We met another group from NYC using EF on the trip back, and we bonded over how awful EF is. I would tell anyone, find another tour agency. Do not abuse yourself by working with EF Tours. I gave a review on another site, AFTER my group leader and program coordinator had an after trip debrief with EF expressing our grievances on our experience and EF, and they responded to the post by stating we are sorry about your experience and would like to speak with you you learn more so that we can improve. But we had the meeting two days before expressing our dissatisfaction. Obviously that was a generic response that is given to try and portray that they are dedicated to honestly taking feedback to give improvement, but in fact it showed that they do not take feedback seriously And they are only concerned with a certain type of appearance not actually ensuring that they will improve the experience for future groups. And I am sure that they will post another generic response to this post. They should be ashamed but I am certain they are not and will continue with business as usual, the hustle.

The private guides were amazing! They shared so much knowledge and brought history to life. I felt our EF guide was distant and would have liked to see him talking and visiting with students. The dinners were not impressive and not authentic.

We're thrilled to hear that you loved Athens and found Rome to be a great experience! Both cities offer such rich history and culture to explore. The Easter crowds in Rome can be a lot, but we're glad it didn't detract too much from your overall enjoyment. Despite the crowds, we hope you were still able to soak in the beauty and wonder of this incredible city. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, and we look forward to crafting more unforgettable travel experiences for you in the future!
