Our trip was amazing! Seeing and learning about Rome, Athens and the Greek Islands. We were on the go a lot but also had time to relax, especially in the evenings on our cruise. The extreme heat was tough but some things we have no control of. If possible, our guides always tried to find us shade. Valentina, our travel advisor always had our backs. She was amazing and very knowledgeable. She cared about each one of us. Thank you!
There were so many aspects of the tour that were amazing! The guide was absolutely tops. He deserves 5 stars! However, there were some admin issues that chased some real problems, and EF didn't manage those well. Things happen -- but how the company dealt with them is the reason for the two stars. If the rating would be only for the experience itself, I would have given 4. The two biggest issues were (1) two days before they tour EF informed our students they would have to share rooms with students from another school. For this price, our students should not have had to do that. But to be informed two days before they left was the truly unacceptable part. (2) EF booked half of our kids (and none of the adults!) as Standby for their flight home. No, they were not moved or bumped to Standby status. EF booked them that way. And we didn't find this out until at the airport, ready to return. It was a very stressful mess for the kids and the adults. That should have NEVER happened.

It's important to us that all aspects of the tour, including accommodation arrangements and flight bookings, meet our travelers' expectations. We understand the frustration caused by the last-minute notification about room sharing and the stress and inconvenience of the flight booking situation. Please know our website and the booking conditions signed during enrollment have several articles on what to expect on tour including accommodations and meals.

This tour was great, but there were some hiccups along the way. It seemed disorganized at points, but the kids didn't really recognize it. As an adult and repeat traveler, there are times when I noticed things but the kids did not, so I remained positive as long as the kids were fine. It's about them! Rome and Athens were beautiful cities, and I learned a lot from them. The first hotel, again, affects the score some as well. The food was okay for dinner; it just didn't seem very varied. I loved all the tour guides on tour; they were knowledgable and brought the attractions to life.
Brilliant tour director. Action packed sightseeing and priceless memories!

Rome and Athens: What can I say? It was a trip of a lifetime. I probably won't go back to Rome, it was dirty and the people there were rude and pushy, but the food was fabulous. Greece was a little better, a lot of graffitti, but the people were nicer and the countryside was gorgeous.
My son had a great time
My daughter had a great time on this trip! The adult leaders and your guides were awesome.
On the move too much. Needed a bit more time to take it all in.
Trip was poorly planned from start to finish.

Being on a tour was good because we got in and out of the sightseeing places, skipping the lines.
It was organized so amazing!
Athens and Ephesus saved this tour. As did Francesca and Rafaela. They were amazing. Our hotel for Rome was way to far and horrible
Rome: Our first hotel was truly horrible. Beds were tiny, cot mattresses were awful, hotel was filthy, staff seemed bothered by simple requests (like bottles of water, ice - which they had none of - or TP), showers were disgusting and could barely fit a teenager, let alone a normal-sized adult. It was also 1.5 hours outside of Rome, drastically limiting our time in Italy due to travel time. Greece: Sent a group of teenagers into high crime island area of Mykonos from 8pm-1am. One of our 15 yo's was surrounded by a group of 20 kids and his phone was stolen. We had no biz being on that island during those hours, ESPECIALLY given that it was Greek Easter and a party scene.
