Little trouble with the flight back
Our tour director was outstanding! Would recommend Andy again.
Overall, this was an amazing experience. We saw so much of the present cities and countryside as well as the historic museums, battlefields, cemeteries, and memorials. Our local guide in Bastogne, Henri, was an 86 year-old survivor of the Battle of the Bulge who gave us the tour from his first-hand knowledge. He even took us into the woods where there are still foxholes dug out. The memorials in Germany and the visit to Dachau are something that will never leave me.
Fantastic! We had a great time and the guides were very knowledgeable about the history and the places that were visited.
Phenominal tour! Students and adults alike loved being able to experience and walk in the footsteps of their ancestors during this moment in history. A must see and do! I will offer this tour again to my school community!
My name is Felicia, and I'm truly grateful that my Sondra got to go on this tour. EF took care of everything for them and my daughter made new friends, and got to see 5 different countries. My daughter is shy, but she came back grown up and more independent. And Mr Smith, and Mr Verheuven(sorry) but you both are 2 awesome teachers!! Thank you for taking care of my baby and inviting her😊
What a fantastic experience! There's no better way to learn about this part of history than to go where it happened. EF made it enjoyable and affordable!
The trip was amazing. Our guide, Tony, was the best. Would do it again in a few years for sure.
The tour was informative, fun, meaningful and safe. Our son's experiences and memories serve him well as a citizen of the world. Thank you so much for what you do!
It was well organized and the local tour guides were amazing! We were able to see SO MUCH each day. Students left with a much better understanding of their world around them as well as a great pride in our country's involvement in the war.
This was my first time to travel with EF. I was very impressed with the organization of the trip, from the beginning. Our EF guide was amazing. If we needed something he did everything to make it happen. We as a group learned so much history and culture. My students will never forget this experience. I highly recommend this tour. It is great for learning history and actually feel like we were apart of that history now.
The tour packed in a lot of history! The WWII emphasis was great. It put a different perspective to the places we visited than in past tours. As a WWII history buff, I couldn’t have been more pleased. The Churchill War Rooms, Normandy Beaches, Ardennes forest, Dachau Concentration Camp, and the Eagles Nest wee exceptional experiences. My student really gained insight and enjoyed the tour.
Too expensive. Too many people in the group 47. Poor communication from the tour director. Terrible food. EF only did free activities with the group. All free museums and too many cemeteries. Didn’t see Churchill war rooms. Not enough free time. Go, go, go, go. Hurry up and wait. I will not use EF again.
What and incredible experience!
Overall it was good, except for plane seats not being together....and a couple subpar meals.
We couldn't ask for a better experience for our 16 year old daughter! Would highly encourage anyone interested in an EF Adventure to go for it!
Needed more fun activities
Great experience for students who are interested in WWII. The places we saw and the history we learned was very valuable. Warnings when explaining the trip to kids ensure they know that the focus on the trip is to see amazing countries, but the focus is on the war. There will be museums and local guide that teach you history. The theme of the tour is in the name, but kids see where they are going and forget the focus of the tour.
Our son had a terrific trip! He learned so much from both the historical and cultural perspectives!
