While I agree with all the venting on…

While I agree with all the venting on eir having over fifty years experience dealing with them..I'd ring them on the way to work which takes about 40 mins and would be waiting that long before someone would pick up.(I actually liked listening to their music anyway while waiting lol..I'd arrive at work and then hang up after noone answered.lots and lots of calls disconnected while waiting in q...I've seen it all.But the truth is that vodaphone three ect are just as bad if not worse.,.just do a quick Google review on them...all one star rating..the problem lies with a dysfunt ,not fit for purpose COMREG.They have absolutely n powers at all and are in a way worse than all of them it together.when large company's like eir, vodaphone three ext ..treat the public in this manner it is up to COMREG to get their finger out and haul them over the coals..this is Ireland so that's not going to happen ....best thing you can do is before you pick up the phone..buy a copybook .date and time each call ..who you were speaking to ..their name.write down everything.on the second call they will ask for your account number and you have to tell them everything again..write their name and date and time it.you get the idea?they will keep passing you from pillar to post ...write down everything...I understand it's fustrating but it's a long game.log Everytime they cut you off ..write down what. Section of eir and what call center they are talking from..there's one in limerick, cork ect and they are not linked in any way.be polite on the phone as they are usually recording and you don't want them to have you sounding like a dick..and most importantly...BREATH

Excellent service

A car carrier brought down the wires outside our house, cutting off the broadband. My son rang at 2pm on Friday, was told up to 5 working days. Repairman arrived Monday afternoon and had broadband up and running within an hour and a half. He was also very pleasant. Excellent service.

Two years after spending several weeks…

Two years after spending several weeks trying to get through to Eir.com to cancel our contract, we finally gave up. We did get through a few times and asked to speak to the relevant department for cancellation of broadband, but got cut off regularly.

So we resorted to their Facebook page and told them to do the offski.

They have been sending us a bill of €390 for the last 18 months and we are really looking forward to our day in court, with printed emails, mp3 files of recorded calls to there 'customer service' centre, and all the other stuff we have on them.

Without doubt Irelands most poorly run national company, my 82 y/o mother, who has Dementia could do better.

I bet the CEO gets a rake of cash a year and huge pension payments.

Cowboys IMHO.

Glad to be finally rid of eir

Glad to be finally rid of eir. They are the worst run company I have ever encountered and I am embarrassed as an Irishman to call them a national provider. Paying extra per month to be rid of them and if you have any self respect I suggest you do the same.

Horrendous is an understatement

Believe all the reviews you see here!!! I have been trying to get in touch with Eir for the past week only to be placed on hold for more than 25 mins and eventually have the call dropped. It is absolutely disgraceful, I do not even know how they are still operating. Worst customer service I have ever encountered! Please stay away!

Terrible Customer Service

While they remain one of the largest mobile, phone and broadband providers in Ireland they have continued to retain title "worst customer service" in an Irish business. It really takes a lot of effort or pure ignorance by the business leaders to allow this to happen.

For anyone who uses Eir I certainly hope you never need customer service. After LONG wait times their default approach is to try re-direct you in store for them to sort you out. When that is not possible you can expect to be met with confusion and uncertainty, possible due to their very constricted flow chart in issue and fault management. The staff on the group are not sufficiently aware of the system and processes in place.

Mentally draining!

Mentally draining!!

having to contact Eir every single month since signing the contract, taking an hour out of my working day each time just to be told a senior member of staff is "to entitled" to deal with my query but the customer advisor will send them another email to get back to me with an answer, NEVER HAPPENS..........
Ive been overcharged on multiple occasions for no reason, Eir customer service advisors clear the additional bill and then same thing happens again the following month.

Do yourself a favor and AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR EIR

I'm not going to go into details but oh my god the worst customer service i have experienced in my life. Honestly I thought someone was winding me up. I'm out of contract for the last 8 months and called to terminate my service. The agent got angry with me for leaving, kept sighing heavily after taking 1 hour 15 minutes to get through. He asked me 11 times am i sure i want to leave EIR. After 31 minutes of listening to him typing slowly and sighing as he was doing it , he did not cancel my service . I asked him to give me a reference number or an email and he said go f*** yourself and hung up the phone. SO I am still paying a bill as he did not terminate the service Honestly , if this is the kind of calibre of employee EIR hires, then I would fear their future. They obviously have no vetting , interview when hiring, they obviously do not perform QA analysis on their calls/employees. A laughable service of 1.7mgbs a laughable level of customer service. Whatever you do DO NOT SIGN UP FOR EIR not only have they bad internet service , their customer service is phenomenally abysmal you will never see the like of it anywhere else!

Very bad

Very bad. Customer case basically trolling people they verify you then drop the call. Did 6 calls today, each for around 20 mins hold only to get hang up on when I start speaking with their agents. Nighmare. If you care about your sanity a little bit, stay away!

Tried 5 times to transfer without success

I have tried 5 times within 3 weeks (2 times online form, 2 times calling customer care and 1 time social media) to submit my "transfer home" request without any success. I never got any confirmation. My worst experience ever.

I will switch to a better service provider.
