A Company that is beyond appalling they simply don’t give a damn

It is with regret that I am unable to write this review without a star. This perhaps is the most despicable company I have ever come across. It has nothing but contempt for its customers. It’s futile to contact customer service As the person who will reply will have no authority and simply just listen. Their broadband is continually breaking down so that while watching a movie I have to surrender to the fact I will not be able to watch it. During the weekends the signal is all but non-existent. What’s most appalling is that if you phone them a technician will turn up the signal which of course indicates what they do. Regrettably it appears there is no ombudsman to deal with them. I can’t wait to my contract is up and all I can do is advise you to have nothing to do with them

All I want now is answers yes or no for phones as I am in a panic right now.

So many bad reviews and rightly so

So many bad reviews and rightly so, from not been able to get through spending days after days on the phone redialing so frustrating, but today had the pleasure of dealing with a delightful human been by the name of Darren in the cork office, now if there were more like him, absolutely a pleasure to deal with him, he should have a managers position he knows how's how to deal with people mannerly, polite, friendly, can't say that about any of the rest of the times I called eir, got of the phone many times ready to pull my hair out, well done Darren you will go places, was my pleasure

Hopeless customer service. Avoid avoid avoid Tried to cancebroadband contract…

Tried to cancel the broadband contract a year ago as moving abroad but still getting messages. Called about 50 times but no joy. They never answer or you get some eejit online who spends half an hour asking security questions then says you’re gonna have to phone. Finally got the router collected by their courier then they denied receiving it. No one’s answering the phone which for a national telephone company is a disgrace. Avoid at all costs. Customer service is a joke

14 months trying to fix issue

Pre-ordered a phone, Eir had no stock so couldnt fulfill the order, yet they signed me up to a new 24 month contract anyway. 14 months on and I'm still trying to get my refund. Have spoken to at least 12 different people in different departments, all can see what has gone wrong but nobody can fix. All i keep getting told is 'someone will contact you'. Disaster of a company!!!!

overcharged incorrectly

ok so went for a slightly less cheaper deal of 60 euro pm as opposed to 71 euro pm, big mistake as I was subsequently overcharged to 76 euro pm i sent off 14 day cooling off letter all to no avail along with email and also letter of complaint I have heard nothing back yet so next week Im sadly going to pull the plug on my direct debit acc with them if I dont get a satisfactory outcome and switch to cheaper deal with someone else like vodafone have been with them many many years and feel very let down by them! stopping your direct debit seems to be the only weapon customers have if they refuse to engage with us

Thanks Jamie Walsh.

I purchased a new phone and changed over to Eir network from Vodaphone. It took six weeks of hell until I finally got talking to an Eir employee called Jamie who was a man of his word when he said he would sort the problem. There seems to be a serious lack of knowledge among some of the staff I was dealing with but Jamie was a very helpful and decent guy. I recommend this guy highly and hope that all staff can be brought up to his standard of excellence ... Liam G

False advertising

Every month I seem to have a problem with either my bill which goes up each month by the looks of it, now my broadband Is so slow it's a joke , spent 10mins getting through to customer care then told there's a 20 minute wait to speak to someone which I was willing to do only to ve cut off straight away , seriously you'd think with the money they charge for internet they'd at least have a proper customer care team , I'm totally fed up at this point paying for a crap services both internet and customer help line that doesn't exist a bit like its mega fast broadband . My advice to anyone thinking of getting EIR (DON'T) !!!

ABYSMAL on every single level that a company or service provider could be abysmal.

Please consider before you sign up for ANY of their services, you have been warned here on trust pilot by all of us who have been f****d over before you, save yourself the frustration and be a smart consumer, unlike those of us who have given into temptation of a cheap offer, or had higher expectations of eir.
Absolute scam territory from the get go.
Possibly the worst company in the history of irish companies? In the world? Maybe tbf. I've worked there also so I should have known this!

If you ever though it was possible for company to take money and offer NO service - well Eir does. Do yourself a favour - DO NOT CONSIDER THIS "SERVICE PROVIDER" unless you want to pay money for nothing other than frustration and dysfunction!!!

Eircom, incompetence made manifest.

Eircom are complete and utter disgraces when it comes to providing any form of consistent connection, as well as when they are actually providing it, the download and upload speeds to not come close to matching what you pay for.

I've talked to their staff 6 times over the past three months, each time I spent over TWO HOURS waiting on a phone line for some incompetent arrogant agent to inform me that there's some sort of issue that they always claim to resolve, then just try to leave the call.

Not once have they fixed the issue, not once have they sent anyone out to take a look out our lines or our WiFi-Box, not once have they given any actual indication that they've fixed a single issue.

My internet still disconnects every MINUTE or so, making downloading anything, playing games, or even watching videos literally impossible.

Eir is completely absurd

Eir is completely absurd! They keep telling due to Covid-19, they expected high numbers of customers calling the customer service but that is not the case when you can’t even reach them at 9 a.m to 12 noon and 2 pm to 5.30 p.m. Are you being serious? If you think that your current staffs is not enough please hire and train more people. Many people is work from home now. We pay for the service but got a terrible experience when deal with your “care” line. They promised to call back after 24 hours but they don’t. And it took a week for us to reach them back. Plus, please check on your bills and keep your head up of what they charging you for because sometimes they charge you more than what you should pay. The connection is strong enough in Cork City but if you need to deal of installation/ move house/ bills they are the worst ever. The staffs answering the customer “care” line is not friendly as well. Not helping the customer with the issue. I give up after deal with their absurd customer service.
