Nobody answer the phone, and I waste more than 1 hour, I just want to cancel my account for next month. Many online customer come to me and after ask many the same questions and tell me they can't do that and change another one. And the same situation to me.
They make me feel so sad, so sick of it.
I feel terrible if I have to talk to them every time.

Awful communication provider. Best customer service ever. Impossible to call, impossible to reach. Nearly impossible to do anything, including cancelling contract. Never make any dealz with them. I have regretted few times (had mobile and broadband contract).

I really want to give them zero stars on here but it is not possible. Eir has to be my worst, yes, WORST EVER customer care experience and I'm no spring chicken. I've been trying to cancel my home broadband account for the last 3-4 weeks now, numerous unanswered calls (left waiting up to an hour each time until I gave up), and also emails to the cancelations and complaints department ignored. I have now sent a formal cancelation letter.
An absolute disgrace and shambles of a company, please avoid people. The government should stay well clear of these frauds with regards the National Broadband Plan. I sure hope somebody from the Department of Communications reads these reviews.

I had been a customer of Eircom some time ago. I found their service very poor at best. Their customer support services were pathetic, and complaints procedure non existent. I would NOT recommend Eircom telephony or internet services to anyone.
UNBELIEVABLE RUBBISH COMPANY IS EIR WITH THEIR SERVICES
What an unbelievable rubbish company to deal with. If you ever manage to even make contact!! I, unfortunately, moved to them on a18 month contract and have endured such frustration and annoyance that words cannot express. I have now tried these past 3 days to contact them and on each occasion having waited 60 mins. + to get through on the phone was sent to 'chat' who really have no authority and were unable to answer my questions and advised me to ring 1901. How is EIR getting away with this appalling service?
I decided to raise a complaint to see if they would contact me back to answer my question and unbelievably when you go to their website to escalate your complaint you get the following message
''This site in currently under maintenance, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and are working to get it restored as soon as possible.''

Deliberately restricting my broadband…don’t trust them
Deliberately restricting my broadband speed since I switched back to them from SKY as if to punish me for leaving in the first place. Spent 2 days on the phone to their tech teams who kept giving me misinformation.
Despite 3 separate visits from 2 engineers who could find no fault, Eir still tell me it’ll be ANOTHER 48 hours before I’ll have my broadband back up to the speed they’re charging me for. I still don’t trust them to do this. I’m moving to Virgin instead.
Eir is a terrible company top to bottom
I have had probably the most frustrating experience with Eir. My blood is boiling even writing this. I went into my local Eir shop a couple of months ago to look at phone chargers. The shop assistant spoke to me about their broadband and I was intrigued as we had recently cancelled our broadband with a different company. I was told that it was 35.99, a promotion that they were doing. This seemed reasonable so I said I would go ahead and do it. They told me I could cancel it within the cooling off period which was 14 days. The first few days and the WiFi signal was terrible in our area so we decided to cancel the WiFi within the cooling off period. I made the call, albeit it took me 4 attempts but I got through to someone who told me it was cancelled. Three days later I'm still with eir so I rang them back, again a frustrating experience I was on hold for almost an hour. I got it cancelled in the end ''Officially'' and received an email to say my account was cancelled. Fast forward a month, I am happy with virgin, its cheaper, better and quicker. However I checked my bank account and eir charged me 87.30 for absolutely no reason. Fuming, I rang their amazing customer service again. They didn't disappoint and had me on hold for about 40 minutes. I was transferred through about 5 departments eventually getting through to someone. This person said I would be refunded my money within 3 working days, but had no explanation as to why it was taken. Working day 4 I still haven't received my money back so I ring again (you know by now how that went) and got through eventually to a department of some sort and I was told that my money wouldn't be refunded until the final bill was issued, which isn't until next week. I made a complaint, this is about my 5000th call to Eir at this stage. The complaints department logged my complaint. I asked her why they took money off me and she said ''I didnt cancel my account''. Now I have rang a million times to cancel it, told it was cancelled, even received confirmation it was cancelled and still got billed. I still await my phone call from the complaints department. I think I will be waiting a long time for this call what do you reckon. DO NOT SIGN UP TO EIR EVER. Who has Joe Duffys number ? ?

The worst Irish Company ever. They lie and keep charging extra. Their customer service is completely ridiculous. When you're in the Eir shop, they tell You to ring their Customer Service number. Was waiting 2.5 hours on hold to get nothing sorted. Optic fibre Broadband is poor during the weekends. And the bill was never right once. Terrible!!!! I wouldn't recommend it ever to nobody. When abroad, my data and texts were cutt off without any notice, even though I was meant to get a message before. Disappointed again!!!

My eir broadband service is went up to 81€ after a year so I used chat service first they said I can not cancel it by chat I need to call 1907 but they never answer it I called them and wait 30mins and no answer after back to the chat service and they give me an address so I can cancel it by letter what I did 7weeks ago 2 weeks later they removed 81€ from my account wtfck? sent an other letter and I canceled more payment from direct debit 1 week ago I got a letter about 181€ by post I sent it back to the address what I got it with this letter plus an other cancellation letter. Now Im wait what happening on the next week.

Extremely bad Customer service, not friendly at all. Stupid policies: my number prepay was barred for international calls without knowing me
When I enquired about it (just a few minutes ago) I was told that it is done because the international calls are expensive. Does it make sense ? I have a prepay number if i have money in my prepay account i will make calls and if no money i won't make calls it should be simple as that. there was no need to put the bar on it. It isn't a bill pay connection.
Now i need to call my parents back in country at this moment, the Customer service lady (unfriendly) said you have to wait 24 hours for that .there is nothing we can do about it. how bad is that feeling when you need to make call you have credit in your phone and you cannot make international call. You were told that there is a (unnecessary) bar on your number and your have to wait for 24 hours till bar is lifted. It is ridiculous.
I will port my number tomorrow.
Today I have been given another two days to wait Customer service said the bar will be lifted in next 2 days, its a standard procedure of the company to put barr on all (prepay) numbers to make calls to some countries like Nigeria, Pakistan and few more. I don't understand why the barr on prepay numbers anyway waiting to finish credit and will port my number to 3 network.

NO WORDS can describe how my trouble shooting call went with “customer care” at EIR. Absolutely absurd to be treated like a 3 year old child who said “I’ve explained this to you 3 TIMES!” I’m absolutely livid that this qualifies for “customer care”. As I’m a new customer and have paid in full I will wait a short time to see if this improves; otherwise I’ll cancel the service completely. I can not recommend Eir at all. Disgraceful.

The worst customer service I have ever come across. Contacted them to terminate my service on line but was told we can't do that on webchat you need to phone in. Oh boy good luck with getting anyone to answer the phone. 2 hours of holding and still no answer. So I wrote to them but still no response. Sky here I come. I should never have left Sky in the first place. Been the worst year of my life with terrible internet service.
